Excellent selection, prices, and customer service
We are British expats in the US and are new customers with British Cravings, having previously purchased our British treats from one of their competitors, BritSuperStore. We were extremely satisfied with our purchase experience with British Cravings. They offer free shipping above a certain order amount, which makes their overall prices very competitive. The customer service is first-rate - very professional and responsive. They were able to source special items for us that were not on their website, which we very much appreciated. The one issue we experienced was that the shipping speed was slower than expected; however, this was out of the company's hands and they promised to make things right if any of our items were spoiled, which thankfully they were not. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely be repeat customers.

After sales service …
I had an issue with dhl and customs advising me that a fee was payable. This fee was nearly twice the value of the goods ordered. I emailed customer services and they told me that all taxes and fees are paid at their end. They asked me to send all the relevant documentation over and they sorted the matter straight away. I had the package delivered the next day with nothing to pay. I was very impressed with the after sales service and the quality of goods delivered

The extremely poor customer services from British Cravings
I received an email from DHL delivery to say that my delivery was happening today. Just afterwards, I received an email from British cravings saying that me delivery would be tomorrow. I emailed British Cravings to ask which was correct, and ended up exchanging emails with their extremely rude customer services department. I had only suggested that they make sure that I only have 1 date to stay at home for. I will not be dealing with such rude, and incompetent people again.

Hi Vicki, thanks for your review however we’d like to clarify a few things as it does not reflect what actually happened in our email exchange.
The confusion you experienced came entirely from DHL’s automated system, which displays both an estimated delivery date and a live tracking status. When you contacted us, we checked your tracking immediately and confirmed the correct live status, which showed your parcel was out for delivery that same day. All notifications you receive come from DHL, not from us and we cannot edit, alter, or control any of them.
Despite providing the correct information, your responses included several personal insults and accusations toward our staff, including comments about our competence and professionalism. Even so, we continued responding promptly and clarified the situation for you.
Your delivery arrived as scheduled, and no incorrect information was ever sent from British Cravings.
We always welcome fair feedback, but this review does not accurately represent the facts or the conduct shown during the conversation

I never received my order. The tracking info says it’s undeliverable and being disposed of. So I paid and never got it.

Hi Tabitha, thanks for your review however let’s clarify a few things.
According to UPS records, they initiated contact on September 25th to obtain an import ID, which is now a U.S. Customs requirement for clearing international packages. This information can only be provided by the recipient, as it typically involves personal identification details such as an SSN or EIN.
As no response was received, UPS disposed of the shipment rather than returning it. Unfortunately, once a package enters the destination country, it falls under customs control, and we are unable to intervene or retrieve it.
As stated in our terms and conditions (agreed to at checkout), refunds are only issued for packages returned to us. We have contacted UPS to review their handling of this case, but we are unable to issue a refund for goods that were disposed of by customs.

We’d like to clarify a few points, as your one star review does not accurately reflect the situation.
Our tracking records confirm that there was an authorised request to dispose of the shipment. You ordered OXO stock cubes, which unfortunately fall under restricted animal products that are not permitted to enter Texas.
As outlined in our terms and conditions, which customers agree to prior to checkout, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that items ordered are eligible for import into their state or country.
Given this, we kindly ask that you reconsider your review, as the circumstances were outside of our control.

Never received my order and never got my money back
I'm indeed very disapointed as I never received my order. They sent a picture of a garden to whom my product was delivered but ufortunately the garden was not mine. Extremely bad service and I'll never order anything from that company again. I only lost my money and had a very bad experience.

Your order was shipped and successfully delivered via DHL. On the day of delivery, you authorised DHL to leave the package in a safe place (your porch). Once this authorisation was given, any liability for the parcel’s security passed to you, as per DHL’s delivery terms.
British Cravings fulfilled your order in full, on time, and as promised. The delivery issue you experienced is with DHL, not British Cravings. In fact, you confirmed in your own email correspondence that DHL was at fault, not ourselves.
We kindly ask that you reconsider or amend your review, as it attributes blame to British Cravings for an issue outside of our control.
