It was a wonderful and interesting summer camp where the children had an unforgettable time. The teachers were very kind and friendly, and the English lessons were highly professional. It is definitely worth coming back next year.

The first of two weeks was dominated by a larger group of students with the same native language. But the staff was able to cope with the situation.
Looking back on my 2 weeks at Uppingham BSS, nearly everything was very well organized (accomodation, meals, lessons, activities, ...). And if there was a problem, there was always somebody available to listen & to help.
All in all, it was an unforgettable experience because you get to know people from all over the world.

From the very beginning, we were impressed by how professional, organised, and caring everyone was. What stood out most to us was the genuine attention given to each child. You get the feeling that the children are not simply part of a programme, but are truly seen, listened to, and cared for as individuals.

For our daughter, it was her first experience away in a foreign environment, yet she settled in incredibly quickly. Even with the language barrier and being surrounded by people she had never met before, she soon felt comfortable, welcomed, and at home. She felt valued and important to the staff, and that made a huge difference to her confidence and enjoyment.

As parents, we also appreciated the excellent communication. All the information we needed was provided quickly and clearly, both before the trip and throughout the stay. This gave us real peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy the experience with her, knowing she was in such good hands.

What makes the programme especially valuable is that the children are not only having fun and making memories – they are also learning, becoming more independent, gaining confidence, communicating in English, and building friendships with children from different backgrounds.

Our daughter came home full of excitement, stories, and wonderful memories, and most importantly, she is already asking when she can go back. Next time, she wants to stay for two weeks!

We would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to any parent looking for something truly special for their child. It is rare to find a programme where professionalism and organisation go hand in hand with such genuine warmth and personal care.

My son really enjoyed his week at Uppingham. He liked meeting boys of different nationalities and ages (my son was the second youngest) and the football training of course he enjoyed. His room was clean and pleasant and staff good. The arrangements were all done well for drop off and pick up and the day trip to London too. One thing I think could be improved is the food: a lot of unhealthy stuff. As part of the football training they had dietary lessons but the food in the canteen didn't reflect this

The organization was perfect, and the staff were also very quick to respond whenever we needed anything.

Our daughter had an absolutely wonderful experience with the BSS program. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay and made lots of new friends from different countries, which was a highlight for her. We are extremely pleased with her overall experience and her performance throughout the program. This was truly a unique opportunity for her to put years of English study into real practice, and we could see her confidence and fluency grow as a result. We would highly recommend this program to other families.

Excellent team work during application process - quick answers , that is very important during high season, full information necessary to consulting potential students is provided in very convinent way , regular availability updates.
High quality of the programs , the programs structure meets different kinds of students needs.

Our daughter really enjoyed the program in Worth. It got off to a bad start because she was assigned a room that hadn't been cleaned, but we received immediate help via the hotline. By the end, however, she would have even liked to stay longer because she had made so many friends.

British Summer School provides a fantastic selection of summer courses in superb locations. Brambletye is perfect for younger students, offering excellent facilities in a safe and supportive environment. With an outstanding staff-to-student ratio, a well-planned curriculum and a brilliant sports programme, the whole experience (2025) was truly unforgettable. Highly recommended and well worth the money.
