The website is incredibly slow and uses American terminology everywhere.
Companies located in America shouldn't be allowed to make apps for traveling around England, there are lots of faults with their system

The app is always breaking, got fed up with it, not worth the hassle

There are much better apps out there anyway..

Auto renewal was applied to my account which I didn't know about. No advance warning about withdrawal. Payment was a 25% increase on previous year. I've tried to stop auto renewal without success. It says I have to cancel the membership and then I will lose 365 days membership. Sounds like a fair deal I don't think!!!
Awful company. Tried 4 stops last year. Two pubs not open on the day of visit although advertised on app as open every day. One pub closed for good and last had been flooded and was closed awaiting refurb.
So a fairly useless membership. App not updated and incorrect info posted. Now it seems I'm stuck for another year. I'm actually thinking of reporting my Credit card lost so that next year they can't auto renew.
Tried to contact but talk to a bot .... Surprise , surprise. Waited in vain for a human

Since I gave Britstops 1 star for taking my money without my authority and for asking me to rate a conversation I had not had with them, they have been in contact and have been very helpful. It is ApplePay which is the problem and they use PayPal. I have decided not to ask for my money back from ApplePay as it will be such a palava and PayPal washed their hands of the problem and said the withdrawal had been authorised by ApplePay. Britstops website is good, so we'll use some of their stopovers now we have had to join them. But beware pressing any buttons on your computer if you are looking at their site or your might find yourself committed to them too by mistake!

Great selection and totally unique candy that I've never tried before. Not only the kids are delighted, but all the adults who are trying them for the first time. It's fantastic.

We have just had £44 taken from our bank account for membership renewal inspite contacting them twice that we didn't want to renew our membership after they sent an email that they were going to do this.There has been no reply from them except to say they've taken the payment today without our permission. We are contacting our bank as we were not told when we joined they would do this ,we thought it was a one off payment for the Brit stop book last year.

Didnt know about automatic renewal. Just cost £44 with no cancellation possible. Had to give up camper as husband had a stroke. Fuming

We have just got off the ferry from Portsmouth and had pre booked a Brit Stop at the Golden Lion in Southwick. It took about 15 minutes to get here. When we prebooked we asked if we could have a meal but as we were a late crossing the kitchen was going to be closed. The lady we spoke to was as helpful as she could be and said she would ask the chef to prepare a cheeseboard for us. A few days before returning home, we rang again to make sure everything was ok and this time we spoke to Greg, the manager who assured us there would be a meal waiting for us.
My word, what a meal we had. When we arrived to this charming pub in a lovely pretty village, we were greeted warmly by Greg the manager. The food was absolutely first class. The waitress was friendly and pleasant. Everything about this stay has been top class, we will certainly stay again and hopefully it will be earlier in the day so that we can sample more of the beautiful menu.
If you need a stopover don’t hesitate to try The Golden Lion

I had a great shopping experience. I have a young teenage girl living with my family and being able to shop online/locally brings back some great memories of her home town.
