I couldn’t be happier with the service. They were very organised, careful with every item and extremely kind throughout the whole move. The driver was especially professional and friendly, making everything feel calm and well managed. It’s such a relief to find people who make what is usually a stressful process so much easier.
I would definitely use them again and recommend them with full confidence.

I contacted BudgetMoving for a UK–Spain relocation and was surprised by two things. First, their pricing was not cheaper than several larger, more established international movers. Second — and more concerning — they requested personal financial documents and proof of finances as part of the customs clearance process.

To verify this, I checked with multiple professional international removal companies. All of them confirmed that financial documents are not required for UK→Spain household goods customs clearance. This raised questions about BudgetMoving’s process and whether they fully understand the current customs requirements.

Because of this inconsistency, I decided not to proceed with them. I recommend that anyone considering BudgetMoving double‑checks their customs requirements with other reputable movers before sharing sensitive personal information.

Very poor experience and unacceptable customer service. I was given a written arrival window of 8:30–9:30 AM, which was critical as I had to travel and had made this clear two weeks in advance. Despite this, the driver did not arrive until 10:45 AM, with no proactive communication.

Because of their late arrival, I was then hit with an additional £300 charge, which I strongly dispute. I paid this under protest only after being threatened with withheld delivery and further fees. The company later changed its justification for the charge rather than acknowledging the missed timeframe.

Customer service was extremely poor. One member of staff I dealt with repeatedly on the phone was rude, aggressive, and shouted throughout the calls, making any reasonable discussion very difficult.

After UK Trading Standards became involved, I was told the issue would be resolved, but despite multiple follow-up emails, no refund has been issued and the company has stopped responding altogether.

Missed agreed timings, unreasonable additional charges, and very unprofessional behaviour. I would not recommend this company - avoid at all costs.

I personally would never use this company again.

Be aware that in the contract “a.m.” could be any time between 8 am and 11:59 am.

Also be aware that your “experienced driver” may not have any experience in removals.

I submitted a formal complaint letter promptly after our move. I have yet to hear back over four months later.

We used this company for an international move from England. We were impressed that the quote was competitive, and it was difficult for us to find an alternative provider with an equivalent payload.
The reviews were generally good.

Before the date I emailed the company to request an itinerary and informed them of our ferry time. I requested an early pick up and was told that the driver would arrive “from 8 am”. I made it clear in advance that we needed the earliest pickup.
The day before the move I was informed he would arrive between 9 and 10am, and emailed back to request the earliest time because of needing to leave for the ferry.
At 10:15 am on the day of the move I rang the office as our driver still had not arrived and was informed by James that he would contact him. James then rang me back telling me there was a major incident on the roads causing our driver to be delayed.
Our driver arrived at 11:20 am, after the time at which we had planned to leave for the ferry, so that we could not pack the van ourselves. I hired someone last-minute to help pack the van at my own expense.
Our driver subsequently told us that he had requested our contact details in advance of the job but was informed by budget moving that there could be no direct communication with us.
He had been told by the company that the arrival time at our address could be any time between 9:50 and 11:50 am. He had driven an hour to us, and there had been no issues on the roads, contradicting the information from James. Our driver said he had not been contacted by budget removals on the day of the move in advance of him arriving, despite me having been told this was the case.

Our driver was a delivery courier and had no experience in removals. There were minimal straps or blankets to protect our goods, despite me giving a list of items which needed these in advance.

I was amazed at the lack of professionalism and aggression in the company’s communication with me, particularly from one employee Mario.
I was informed that there could be no apology or refund as the company were still within the “am” time specified on the contract (up to 11.59).
Below are direct quotes from emails of his threats:
-to charge me £35 per hour per hour that payment was delayed. This was not mentioned in their contract.
"Please remember that if you will not clear a payment till midnight tonight we have a right to charge you £35 per hours and on this occasion due to manipulation which you trying do we will do it without any concerns

Mario"
-to take legal action against me for £50,000 in the event of me leaving negative feedback for them.
"Please be aware that if you will leave any negative feedback which will have any negative contents against a contract terms which you accepted we will take a legal action and we will seeks for compensation not lower than £50.000"

Excellent service! Moving from Milton Keynes to Valencia was made really smooth and easy. The girls in the office are very responsive and helpful. The driver Tony did a great job, especially in MK as the helping person was very late. He was so kind to contact me well in advance before arriving at the destinations. Regarding the price: I couldn't find anything significantly cheaper and as reliable as this.

Would highly recommend this company moved all are stuff down from leeds to South of Spain Tony and Chris was very helpful with moving are stuff price was very good too if your thinking about using someone to move your stuff abroad I would highly recommend this company.

The driver, Krzysztof, was professional, knew exactly what he was doing, and so was extremely efficient and got the job done quickly and with no fuss. The company was also great to deal with, available on WhatsApp to answer questions. The price for a move always seems extraordinary to me, but if you look at the cost of renting a (much smaller) van and driving it back and forth, the cost for BudgetMoving is actually quite favourable. So on the whole, I really can't complain.

Also, nothing got stolen along the way (apparently happens sometimes if the driver stops in England overnight), and nothing got damaged. Krzysztof was also very helpful at unloading the stuff and getting it up to the flat.

One tip: You'll almost certainly need more weight than you think you will. Space is not the issue... weight is! I can't believe we had 1.35 TONS of stuff between two people... and there wasn't even much furniture at all...

The girl from the office sent me the inventory form and the documents I needed for the customs declaration. This information helped me a lot. All the paperwork took much less time than I expected.

The service that I received for my removal from UK to Europe was far from stress free. I contracted 2 vans and the vans sent were of smaller capacity and less weight limit which led to multiple issues during load and having to unload part of the goods later due to weight limit.
BudgetMoving confirmed a discount would be provided for this but once they collected the goods and had both vans I was threatened to pay full amount otherwise a charge would start from midnight after collection for storage of the goods.
Placed formal complaint with company for which they could not care less and responded in an arrogant and careless way. Currently going through debit card dispute process to try to get part of my money back as forced to pay full amount to get my goods.
If you want to take a risk on a service like that, go ahead and choose them, if not better to shop around a bit more. The market is pretty competitive both in service and in price and I have regretted a lot not spending the time shopping around more.

Chloe, was absolutely brilliant, so helpful guiding us through the process.. especially with the customs paperwork!! My husband and l would definitely recommend this company.. we were always kept informed and the drivers were wonderful

What a hassle free experience. We were very cautious about trusting the a relatively small company with the transportation of our valued goods.
James was our contact and couldn’t have been more helpful, along with Mario.
Our stuff was collected from Nottingham on a Saturday morning and delivered to our home in eastern Portugal on Monday evening.
Do not hesitate to use this company, I have nothing but praise and thanks for a completely hassle free move. We shall be using again in the not too distant future, to move the remainder of our stuff.

Budget Moving were amazing during our move from Manchester to the south of Spain. Excellent communication beforehand and handled all of the customs paperwork for us.

The driver was friendly and took great care packing the van. We had a VERY difficult access path to our new home (narrow & extremely steep) & they put in a superhuman effort to get the van down to the house & unload everything safely. All of our stuff arrived with no damage & nothing missing. Flawless experience with them & couldn't recommend highly enough!

I just used Budgetmoving to send two van loads of furniture from UK to Piedmonte in Northern Italy.
I was rather apprehensive at the prospect of working with a new firm but communications were good, the process was easy, the shipment was picked up on time and without drama, and the drivers arrived and unloaded at the destination just two dates later.
I definitely would recommend this firm, the customs clearance process was done by them very smoothly and the drivers were strong and helpful.
