Misleading labelling! I have a dog who has an allergy to chicken. I was buying Butchers tripe and beef tins and could not understand why my dog was getting hot spots again. Looked at ingredients in small type on back of tins

Tripe - 34% CHICKEN/13% TRIPE/3% BEEF
Beef - 30% CHICKEN/10% BEEF

This could be a matter of life and death for some dogs and totally wrong and misleading to consumers.

You have an obligation to clearly label additional ingredients on the FRONT of the label when they constitute the majority meat component - CHICKEN. Chicken is the highest component in ALL your tins and should be labelled accordingly.

Fantastic food the tripe loaf is great produce. And so affordable

Butcher's are big supporters of non-profit organisations and charities - we received a pallet of dog food for the pets of our clients who are street homeless or living in poverty.

Bought butchers food (tripe) to give it ago and it's honestly not agreed with my 6 dogs! My house smells awful from there wind and they have all had the runs, after two days I've had to stop feed them it, there all different breeds so it can't be because of there breed, they have had loads of different meats and this one has completely upset there stomachs

Excellent communication and product. We run a rescue for dogs and horses that takes on animals that other rescues refuse, and thanks to Butchers Tripe's food donation, we have been able to continue. Very much appreciated.

I have a 14 Yr old Jack Russell and a 3 Yr old Bull Grey.
My 2 have been on butchers tinned meat for years. Have tried them both on other brands in the past, but they much prefer this. Always empty bowls.

My 10yr old lab has been on dry food all his life but he put on a lot of weight and is struggling a bit so I changed him to the low fat butchers choice and add a small handful of mixer and a large handful of chopped fresh vegs I also have started adding some dried herbs and turmeric and ginger powder along with his usual pumkin powder and he loves it clears his bowl every time. He's only been on this for a week and I have noticed a change in him already, he's not lost any weight yet but he's moving quicker and even his behaviour has changed. He was always a good dog behaviour wise but could be a pain in the butt looking constantly for food, he no longer does this so I will continue with this food for him and hope the weight starts falling off...PS he gets walked twice a day and has the run of a large front and back garden. His walks have been shorter due to him starting to struggle so I'll cut back the time of walks and add on 10 mins every week. Rome wasn't built in a day tho

My 4 boys have been on butchers for about 2 years. Purchased 48 trays from PAH a few days into the trays found one dog had a severe upset stomach and vomiting that caused seizures. Vets run tests to find he had ecoli, other 3 dogs went down with the same after eating the trays. All dogs tested positive for ecoli. Over £1000 in vet’s bills. My dogs don’t eat anything other than butchers, they don’t eat things their not meant too and the one who went down first is a reactive rescue who very early leave the house so hasn’t picked anything up from outside.

Will not be buying butchers food again!

I was in a store a few weeks ago and was approached by a woman while I was buying my regular dog food, asking if I knew the nutritional content. She told me to google a website that showed each brands nutritional value before I bought what I normally bought. I was horrified of what I had been feeding my dogs for years… and it wasn’t cheap. I went home obsessively trying to find a high nutritional content food that I could afford and went to try butchers. 3 weeks on I have happy and excited dogs for meal times, they are more energetic and their movements in all forms are improved. I was just going through the reviews here and am impressed of their donations to the charities as well.

I've given my dogs Butcher's dog food for many years and they seem to love it. It has kept my little family in fine fettle and excellent condition and I aim to keep using this dog food that they love

We have used Butchers dog food for many years our dog likes the tripe variety, but enjoys them all. I have never had any issues with Butchers dog food, its good value for money but would be happy to pay extra because my dog loves it.
