Cool frames, BAD lens service

Cool frames, but their process of making lenses is not accurate. When the lenses measurements were off, they refused to make it right and insist on charging shipping to even return the glasses. Unbelievable business model

Loser company

They sent me an email after I placed an order saying the prescription was outdated which was not true. I clarified this for them. Then they didn’t like that my doctor’s signature was not on my prescription. They then made a big deal that I challenged them at the time of my last order a year ago, that they didn’t have an NPI number required by my insurance company. They do not want to do business with people who have ordinary needs. This comes from a customer who has done business with them in the past and was giving them a second chance after the insurance company debacle.

I Do Not Recommend.

When purchasing eye glasses you can't know for sure until you receive them if they are the right fit etc. I like how they look on the website however when I received them they just do not work for my face. I was willing to find another frame. I tried multiple other options on the website but they were either not available in the magnification I need or color I wanted. The outcome is me donating to CADDIS via restocking fee and paying the return shipping to do so. Bad business!

i purchased these glasses

i purchased these glasses. they are very nice and seemingly sturdy, but for one pair I purchased, the arm cracked when I used the suggested method for tightening them (no screw tightening); you have to use heating method. The second pair I got became so loose as to become unwearable and did not respond to heating method. I wanted to love these because they are beautiful, but I paid $220 for 7 months of wear, then had the replacement pair for only three months of wear - this is not worth it! They will only warranty one pair. So I am out. I take good care of them and did not do anything beyond ordinary use.

Ordered a pair of glasses online was…

Ordered a pair of glasses online was charged eight dollars shipping with an arrival date of four business days. It’s now been almost a month and have not received the glasses. They’ve been tracked all over the place and then eventually sent back to Utah one of their representatives had the nerve to text me a week ago( unsolicited) , trying to sell me a pair of glasses as I’ve been on their website when I explained the situation to Her only comment was I’m really sorry. Maybe you should contact our customer support team. Terrible customer experience I will deny the charge on my credit card.

Disappointment

I was really hopeful about these glasses, but what a disappointment. I ordered progressive readers, got delivered glasses with no prescription. Plus a lens was scratched. Customer service was not helpful. I sent a few emails, had to call them. Offered me 10% off and to expedite shipping but would be 5-7 business days to get the glasses made. When I asked to speak to a manager, was told they would call right back. Never for the call. Took almost two weeks to get them and then have to wait another two weeks for the correct pair to arrive. Bummer, the frames are cool but time to get product and customer service are substandard for paying close to $200 for readers.

Awful lenses - hard to see through and not clear.

I ordered classic readers with clear lenses. The frames are beautiful but the lenses are awful. There is a weird tint to them and they are uncomfortable to look through. I cannot read clearly despite having other readers with the same correction. Also? These glasses are over $100 -- they're premium reading glass and yet there are no free returns. You have to pay $8 to return. Ridiculous. I will never buy from them again.

good product but not impressed getting there

I do like the finished product of the glasses. However, it took several bent pairs, a wrong pair with the wrong prescription, a right pair with tons of fingerprints (not a big deal but just unprofessional), along with hopefully just returning the bad pair and waiting another two weeks to get the other correct pair. Not impressed. And bummed bc I do want to like this company. The frames seem to be good quality otherwise.

Dissapointing Return Process

Good morning,

I need to return one of the pairs of reading glasses I ordered as they fit too small – even though the Caddis website indicates they fit “large to extra large.”


The original price was $145. I purchased the Muzzy Readers at a discount of 21% which makes the price I paid for the Muzzy’s $114.55.

When I received the return label and order to send the Muzzy readers back I discovered that not only do I have to pay shipping costs to have them shipped back but I also only receive a return credit of $68.49. The math in this return makes no sense at all and is a joke. The glasses I’m returning are not custom and have never been worn. Why would I not receive the $114.55 plus tax that I paid for the readers?

Additionally, almost all high-end websites offer free shipping and free returns. It’s disappointing that Caddis Life receives the benefit of selling products under “high end” terms but returns them to their customers under “discount store/drug store” terms.

I have purchased eight pairs of readers in the past 24 months. I will never ever purchase from Caddis Life again.

The Progessive Readers are Terrible

I ordered two pairs of progressive readers with blue light filtering from Caddis. Both pairs were stylish and comfortable, but that's where the positives end. I've been wearing Foster Grant drugstore progressives for years without any problem. The Caddis glasses, however had an abrupt demarcation between strengths making them disorienting to wear. Also the mid-range section where I would view my computer screen was not strong enough despite being the same strength I wear in other glasses. Plus, the blue light filtering causes a weird reflection/ghost image above screens I viewed. No matter how I adjusted them on my face, I found them to be unwearable.

I was excited to try Caddis for the…

I was excited to try Caddis for the first time and ordered a pair of prescription glasses during the memorial day sale. Buyer beware. If you’re going to buy a pair of hipsl, oversize glasses that are not cheap go to a store try them on because the models in the photos happen to be the best face for those frames. When I received mine, they were tight on my head, squeezing my temples and uncomfortable. They felt uncomfortable on the bridge of my nose and there’s no way I’ll ever wear them. When I asked about the return policy I was told these were final sale and they were not return them. I did not see that when I placed the order. Now I’m stuck with a pair of glasses … Well, not stuck. I’m gonna throw them away.
Caddis. Good luck staying in business. There are plenty of choices in the hip frame market at your price point. My Instagram has been overrun by ads by your competitors since my purchase.

WHAT YOU ORDER YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE

I am not in the habit of posting negative reviews but I still haven't learned that after being xxxxxx over once, it's usually worse the second time. During the summer my wife wanted a funky pair of glasses for her birthday so she found Caddis online and purchased D28 in Bullet Coffee. We were given a USPS # the following day and was tracking it daily on Shopify. Other than a label being created it does not mean it was received by USPS or the actual mailing date. We live in Taiwan and gave it plenty of time to see if there was any movement. I finally contacted customer service which was great AT THAT TIME. They offered a replacement pair which I turned down since there would be no guarantee that it would ever be received so they refunded the purchase price. It should be noted that 3 months later there still is no movement on this item.
Mid-Sept I was stupid enough to buy D28's this time in Gloss Minor Blues as a surprise for my wife. Once again we received a USPS # and this time there was daily tracking on Shopify and USPS so I assumed it was shipped and we would receive it in a timely manner. As of Oct 2 nothing. I called USPS long distance and they would not give me any further information than what is on their messages to me. Ditto for Shopify. I have been in a daily battle with customer service when they respond instead of getting what they think is a cute message "We have received your message but we're out being awesome somewhere else. We are available Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and will get back to everyone as quickly as possible." So either they are short of staff or hiking in the Wasatch Range of mountains or just not being concerned about this problem.
I have explained and detailed daily with images from USPS which they simply ignore." September 24, 2021, 7:32 pm Departed TAIPEI, TAIWAN Your item departed a transfer airport in CHIANG KAI SHEK, TAIPEI, TAIWAN on September 24, 2021 at 7:32 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination."
1/I live in Taipei Taiwan so why did it depart Taipei Taiwan and where did it depart to?
2/I live 45 minutes from the airport so if it was in Taipei Taiwan I would have received it within 1-2 days max since the destination is my home address which they have.
When they do respond they give boilerplate answers like "we are following it up" which is BS since there is nothing more to follow up other than what USPS has already advised. Or "give it more time international deliveries are taking longer than normal" which maybe true but not for Taiwan. I went to Taiwan Post which is 7 football fields big and is linked to USPS and had them search the area for USA packages. Nothing has been received with that tracking number.
Bottom line: HSBC has filed a reverse of charge claim with them, these comments will be sent by registered mail to their local FTC regional office, to Mr.Sim Gil their DA in Salt Lake City and posted online to both the BBB and Trustpilot which are consumer websites dealing with marketplace trust.
