Not a Canadian Company contrary to name

My wife purchased from this company . They had numerous discounts and with the name she thought that she was paying in Canadian dollars from a Canadian Company . Only after she checked out did she find out it was US dollars . She immediately tried to cancel the company . They shipped the item anyway . It came in a damaged box . Their customer service would not help .

Big shout out to Ann today

Big shout out to Ann today. If orders are shipped by mail I use a mailing address but if it comes by courier, it has to have a different address or I end up having to hunt down the parcel. I put the wrong shipping address on my order. The label had already been generated. Ann hunted them down and caught my parcel before it left the warehouse and was able to change the address. GREAT SHOPPING at Canada Lighting

We have made many purchases from Canada Lighting, which is located in California.
We love our Artcraft ceiling lights and our stunning outdoor lights.
Fast shipping and it is FREE.
Amazing customer service, that really stepped up to plate with a concern that I had. Thanks to Anne this was resolved quickly and very fairly.

Quick and helpful assistance

Ann was patient and very helpful in resolving my issue for a replacement part for a fan I had purchased over a year ago. There were several emails back and forth that she responded back very quickly.

Not CANADIAN!

I had a terrible experience with Canada Lighting Expert. They claim to be a Canadian company, but they are not. Nowhere during checkout does it indicate that the prices are in USD, which is misleading and deceptive. This is a clear case of false advertising.

Their customer service is non-existent – they rely on AI bots to handle issues, and they refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes. The company acts more like a dropshipper than a legitimate business, which makes it feel like you're dealing with a middleman rather than a trustworthy retailer.

Do not buy from them! Save your time and money and look elsewhere. Local Canadian Store!

Canada Lighting did their job.

Canada lighting did a good job. Manufacturer (Golden Lighting) dropped the ball when they charged the duty.
Had to do a lot of legwork to get it refunded. Canada lighting agent Gerard was a great help.

Was lead to believe I bought a fixture…

Was lead to believe I bought a fixture manufactured and shipped from Canada. The fixture came labelled «Made In China» and shipped out of Florida!

Super disappointed that a 'Canadian' Lighting Company would charge in USD, but make that hard to find on their website. While I was able to find information saying this would be in USD AFTER I purchased, it is not apparent without digging. Shady dealings...

Do Not Order From This US Company

CanadaLightingExperts my foot. This is US company. Like many others, I didn't realize my lights would be charged in USD. It added $176.00 to my credit card charge and my lights still haven't arrived. USD is hidden in fine print and is not on the final invoice, only Canadian dollars. I tried to negotiate a return or a credit but they wouldn't budge on the price. I got ripped off so I'm warning others

No savings because charged in USD

Like most other negative reviews here, I condemn an American business that uses a ''Canadian'' name while charging you in USD. When we all know that the exchange rate is 1.40++ it makes any included transport/duties irrelevant as any savings are washed out by the exchange rate.

Wonderful customer service.

Light fixture is great. Upon delivery, we had to pay an unexpected charge from the courier for duties and tax. John immediately issued a credit for these charges once he was alerted to the issue (Delivery, duties and taxes are included in the price). Wonderful customer service.

Item returned but they never sent a refund.

I purchased a ceiling fan for around $300 (Order #11713141) and it turned out to be a poor fit for my needs. I returned the fan to the specified address (Kichler Returns, 900 Highway 124, Braselton, Georgia) as per their instructions. They confirmed receiving the fan and told me that the money was refunded to Canada Lighting. However, after multiple attempts to contact Canada Lighting via phone, I was unable to get anyone on the line, and no one returned my voicemails. The lack of communication and extremely poor customer service has been incredibly frustrating. I will not be shopping with Canada Lighting again.

Not appropriate for Canada! I purchased 2 picture lamps for my new…

I purchased 2 picture lamps for my new house. When we were ready to install them, one was a lamp made in UK and did not fit our standards in Canada. No electricians nor lighting company were able to find a solution to our standards. I was never able to speak to anyone at the company to get a refund. They argued by email only that the lamp was appropriate for Canada. They forward me the company that makes this lamp but never was I able to talk to anyone, and nobody returnee my calls. Canada lighting refused my return. I is a bad customer service company and I will not recommand anyone to buy there! Horrible experience.
