Potentially a scam company! Beware and proceed with caution! Attempted a 'Bate and Switch' type scam on me.

I ordered a high ticket item from the Carbonized website, where it stated that the item was in stock (but only 1 left) and ready to ship, after a week of hearing absolutely nothing from them, I received an email on Sunday 14th June which I opened, all exited for it being a dispatch notification but it was not.
Instead it said that my order was cancelled and a refund would be processed, with absolutely no explanation! I chased up and made it clear that I did not wish to have my order cancelled, as I am pretty eager to receive the item, but have received no response.
I then checked the website and the item was once again showing as being in stock (only 1 left) but now they'd increased the price by £200!!! Pretty damned shady and no way to treat customers or potential customers! I did at least receive the refund after a few days, so it wasn't theft, but still, I wanted the product, not my money back! So I'll be avoiding like the plague in future.

Same as the other two reviews (as of 03/05/2026) I ordered through payl8r… they cancelled however I thought it was a glitch so kept trying. I never received the item, as it was never shipped. I emailed payl8r who somehow managed to contact them, and CarbonizedUK said they were having email problems. It’s been 6 months…I have been paying each month for a product I never received.

Similar to Ethan, I place an order for coil overs in August through Payl8r and they cancelled the order because stock levels. They didn't cancel the loan agreement though. After many emails and phone calls I'm getting no reply, Payl8r have tried to reach them with no luck. So they have essentially stolen the money and I have no product. AVOID.

Ordered a downpipe from this company many months ago. I financed the item through payl8tr and all was seemingly good. A few days later Carbonized pretty much cancelled my order because they didn’t have the item in stock. What they didn’t do after that was cancel my finance agreement with Payl8tr. I’ve been paying £60 a month for around 7 months now so I’m extremely frustrated with this company. They also never respond to any emails or any attempts to communicate with them.
