Car buying experience
My husband and I just bought a 2024 Mazda CX30 from Essendon Carco
Our salesman was Mark , who we found to be very pleasant to deal with and informative . He had good knowledge of the car he was selling to us and was very helpful in answering all our questions .
We found all of the staff that we dealt with to be very friendly There was a good atmosphere in the place
An all round pleasant experience
On requests of information, they say they'll send it but never do.
I originally sent an email earliy last week requesting further details about one of their cars at Cars & Co in Dural, however, nobody replied. I called on Wed to follow up and the guy - didn't give me his name - told me he had made a video of the car and emailed it to me already. I checked but there was no such email so asked if he could email again and he said he would. But he did not. I called last Thursday to follow up again and they said they'd prefer to send via WhatsApp so I gave them my number and they said they'd send the video and other information I requested. I called their landline last Saturday and the guy (didn't say the company name or his own). He said he'd send later that day. Still no reply.
I have never experienced anything like this with a car dealer. The individual(s) I've spoken to are so unprofessional. Everytime I call, the person that answers the phone just says 'hi' - what kind of business doesn't answer their phone with their business name and their name? What kind of business is not interested in following up with a potential buyer and one that is obviously keen? Seems odd. I won't be calling them again.
Fantastic experience from start to purchase
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Mark was honest, patient and genuinely helpful — no pressure, just great advice and clear communication. Even when he was on leave, the wider team stepped in seamlessly and were just as accommodating and professional.
Buying a car can be stressful, but they made the whole process easy and straightforward. I’m so happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Highly recommend!

We recently bought our car from George at Carco Essendon and couldn’t be happier. He was professional, attentive and genuinely helpful from start to finish.
The whole process was smooth and stress-free, and his follow-up after the purchase really stood out for extra technical support. Highly recommend George if you’re looking for honest, reliable service! 👏

Tread with ultimate caution.
I strongly advise caution when dealing with the service and sales departments at Carco Midland. My experience has been a textbook case of "Major Failure"
I purchased a 2021 Ford Puma (1.0L EcoBoost) from this dealership. Within 24 hours of collection, the vehicle suffered a total turbocharger failure while driving up Greenmount Hill. Despite the car’s FordPass app sending a diagnostic alert and the vehicle entering limp mode, Carco claimed they could not find a fault code—a claim contradicted immediately by an authorized Ford dealer who diagnosed the failed turbo.
I discovered that Carco’s service department performed a pre-sale service using Fuchs TITAN GT1 FLEX C23 5W-30 (Part #6022175523). This oil is an ACEA C3 spec and DOES NOT meet the mandatory Ford specification WSS-M2C948-B (5W-20).
The 1.0L EcoBoost is a "wet-belt" engine. Using the wrong oil viscosity and chemical spec is a documented cause of belt degradation, which leads to oil pickup blockage and turbo starvation. Despite this clear causal link, Service Manager Shane has refused to take accountability, attempting to deflect the issue as a "manufacturing fault"—a claim that is irrelevant under the ACL since their use of non-compliant oil and selling a car that is not roadworthy and unsafe.
The car has been sitting for 55+ days. I have now escalated this to:
Consumer Protection WA (Major Failure / Refund Claim) and have begun filing a case with the Magistrates Court of WA for vehicle cost and consequential loss.
For any complaints you have you can write to the Dealer Principal Troy Byfield (eg Formal Notice of Demand).
If you are a current customer of Carco check your invoices and service manuals to ensure they use the appropriate engine oil and filter otherwise you will have a ticking time bomb of an engine on your hands.
Excellent service
Thankyou for your excellent service . My last 3 parts and accessories purchases have been good thanks to parts interpreter,,Simon Cavill. He was very knowledagble.
Interstate purchase
We recently purchased a BMW Convertible from CarcoPlus in Smithfield, Sydney. Being interstate, I initially had concerns about buying a vehicle remotely, but the excellent service and quick responses from Sid made the entire process smooth and stress-free. We’re very happy with the vehicle.
After arranging a Redbook inspection, Sid was extremely cooperative in getting the few identified issues resolved promptly. The handover with Rob was also smooth and well-organised.
Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

I recently purchased a Camaro from Anthony at Carco.
As an interstate purchaser I was a little nervous with purchasing a vehicle site unseen.
Anthony soon had me feeling comfortable with the videos he was sending pointing out the minor nicks and scratches that couldn’t be seen in the pictures.
I found him to be very honest and accommodating with his quick responses to my messages I didn’t need to fly over to see the vehicle.
When the vehicle arrived it was as he described.
I was very happy with my service from Anthony and Carco.
Keep up the good work team.
RED FLAG FOR CARCO MIDLAND
We bought Mercedes benz from CARCO Midland. The car has engine sign problem within 15 days. car has gone to their shop three time but not fixed the problem. Now again car is in their shop . Karl named receptionist is very rude lady. she hanged up phone on you if you ask question . Our car is in their place for more than two weeks, receptionist Karl is not even listen to you, not even giving us loan car , we are travelling in uber . We will not suggest this CARCO Midland to anyone, after buying car they are totally different people, very rude people, NOT RECOMMENDED, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. Salesman will be very nice with you before buying car , after buying if there is any problem in car , they dont even recognise you and no call back. you need to find out what is happening with your car even after fixed they wont inform you. Very Disappointed. They dont pick up your call . very annoying. We are regretting why we bought car from them.
WORST PLACE EVER.
I recently purchased a vehicle that was…
I recently purchased a vehicle from Carco Midland that was advertised as having a big brake upgrade and 20inch rims and I was told it would have a full detail before I picked it up. Well after taking it to Walkinshaw performance they informed me this was not the case as it had standard brakes and only 18inch rims and tires and that the car obviously had driven through lots of mud as the whole underbody was coated in copious amounts of mud and reids and on inspection the inside of the vehicle wasn't clean either as it had food scraps under the front seats. So I'm very disappointed as it was an expensive vehicle. So I'm in the process of speaking to the ACCC to see if I can get anywhere with this
🚫 CarCo Midland – A Masterclass in Unprofessionalism and Wasted Time
I recently enquired about a 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor listed online by CarCo Midland. The vehicle was clearly advertised with aftermarket rims and tires, a key detail that caught my attention. However, upon arriving at the dealership, I immediately noticed that the wheels had been switched out — replaced with stock rims, one of which was damaged and rusted. That alone set the tone for what became an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience.
When I questioned the salesman, Colin, about the wheel swap, he had no explanation. He couldn’t answer several other basic questions about the car either. After a brief consultation with his manager, I was told that the original wheels were “still available,” but by this point, the credibility of the listing was already in serious doubt.
When Colin returned, instead of addressing my concerns properly, he asked whether I wanted to proceed with a trade-in valuation. I explained that I first needed to see and drive the Raptor in the condition it was advertised — with the correct wheels — since handling and performance differ with different setups. His response? Colin suggested that I should simply “picture the car with the right wheels” and proceed as if they were fitted. To make matters worse, he began checking his watch repeatedly, as though I was the one wasting his time.
This experience was completely unprofessional from start to finish. If the dealership had simply been transparent — or had updated the listing to reflect the car’s true condition — it would have saved me a wasted trip and a great deal of frustration.
In short, CarCo Midland failed to deliver even the most basic level of honesty and customer respect. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise potential buyers to verify every detail before visiting, lest you end up with the same disappointment I did.
What a thoroughly unpleasant and unprofessional experience.
New car nightmare
Bought a new Isuzu from Carco Midland, the car has had a laundry list of issues and I understand these issues weren't created by Carco but have been exacerbated by Carco's handling of the repairs.
They have zero communication skill. I have given up trying to call them and now go to the dealership as that's the only way I can get any answers.
Multiple times they have told me they would or have fixed defects only for me to realise after I've collected the car that the work hasn't been done and I would have drop it back off at my expense.
They have made me wait 90 minutes after an agreed pick up time because my car was in the wash bay and some how managed to give my car back dirtier.
The amount of defects from Isuzu and Carcos handling of the issues have soured the new car experience and I highly recommend you don't use this dealership because once they have your money the service stops.
Delivery
Picked up my car this evening. The lovely Claire did an amazing job with the handover. After the initial confusion she kept calm and professional. I hope she goes along way in her relatively new position at the caryard. All the best Claire and Thankyou

Danny contacted us to purchase our Kolios. We had a seamless transaction with Danny talking us through the whole process via face time. Even offering to travel the 4.5 hour to view and pick up the car. Thank you
Would recommend Daniel Levertt to anyone considering selling their car.
No stars worst experience ever
Ist is like to give no stars
28/6/25 purchased my 79 series land cruiser dream car for my off road adventure, $103,000
Happy with the salesman , Ashwin , but he did not know he was selling a car unfit to drive and actually illegal !
Could not drive it away had not been through the service centre so had to wait 1 week whilst they repaired the seat , collect car spent, air compressor didn’t work , water pump didn’t work . Air tank leaking couldn’t be fixed easily , side lights never worked , stereo I fixed wire loose , sent back for repairs , sent out to 3rd party for repairs I had to drop it there and collect it , also reverse camera never worked , all got repaired thx , put solar on my car $4000 .
Bang pulled over for speeding as the speedo is 11 kms out 2 demerit points $200 , my bad , but illegal exhaust and no muffler no DPF which I had to find out myself had been removed , Police we nice to not yellow sticker the car ! Went back to Carco asked what the , they have since by a 3rd party replaced exhaust with muffler and DPF and now turbo leaking also needed replaced , thxs also illegal window tint had to repair this also , sorry hard to keep up , now all up no car at least 3 weeks off and on , also spare tyre is incorrect size as not the same as on car ! Told today that they only need to supply a spare wheel good enough to get you to a repairer, even if it blows a diff I asked , ? just went today 9/9/25 to collect my car after all this and guess what it would not start flat battery ! Yes all true you can’t make this up ! And there’s more they put a new battery in I wait unattended for 45 mins and on the drive home the admission light comes on and TRC light , now tomorrow this car will need to be returned for further repair , fixing ,
All up the Service people have not helped in any way I have needed to chase everything up and repeat myself over and over to different people who in my opinion do not care . Lamya warranty person has been good and helped getting repairs done and has repaired all faults so far this is true , But seriously this sale is stuff for Consumer Protection as clearly this car was not fit for purpose and I’ll have a refund please plus my added cost of transfer cost and solar ,
So my experience has never been considered as the stress it has caused me over 2 months and still on going ,
Long read but all facts , I also have been accused of being rude whilst my tone of voice was not acceptable from service staff , I wonder why , Remember their add states a 200 point service check .Not !
Regards disgruntled buyer and what a joke ,I’d not recommend them to my enemies. And already several friends have shopped elsewhere! Will be glad when this is over
If I could give lower than 1 star I…
If I could give lower than 1 star I would !!! We bought a 200 series landcruiser from CARCO in midland and since buying it have had disgusting service from the dealership. We paid extra for the extended warranty and guarantee. Our car was parked up for almost 12wks because my husband injured himself and could not drive. I have been in and out of it over the weeks but when I went to drive it last week the carpet was wet. I called the dealership and asked them to have a look at it. She booked me in and I specifically asked for her to make sure they checked over the whole car. Assured they would check the whole car I left it with them. I took photos of every panel inside and out the night before and thankfully I did. 3hrs after I dropped it off she sent me a message to tell me the car was ready to be picked up, they had found the leak but they dont cover water damage !!! The leak they found was in the roof in the boot. Once they found that they stopped looking. I asked if they looked at the whole car and she was so rude saying yes they had, when I told her I knew they hadn't she became more verbally aggressive stating that she knew they had looked through the whole car and the report reflected such. When I presented the photos of the MOULD that was in the front half of the car she became even more agitated. She forced my keys at me and I thought she might jump the counter at me when I asked for the report to be printed.
We have now had to pay more than $2000 to go through insurance to get our VERY expensive vehicle fixed.
10/10 would not recommend this dealership.
Great service from Carco Pakenham
After driving a number of Hyundai Kona's we thought the one at Carco performed best. Our rep Jake was able to secure a very good trade in price for our 20 year old Getz and gave us a very good deal overall. The front bumper looked to have had a scrape and they fixed that as part of our final price for no extra cost. The car passed an external mechanic test easily. Great service from these guys.

We purchased a 2014 jeep grand Cherokee set from Carco in 2023, the lifters let go a few months after owning the vehicle.
They apparently replaced the engine, brand new long block. 1.5 years later, the lifters have let go again. All Jeep specialists I’ve spoken to said that would never happen with a genuine new long block. Carco has now lost the engine number and all documentation from the engine swap. Mind you they also didn’t change the engine number on paperwork so my insurance has been void for the last year and a half. I got an email saying to send them the engine number so she can complete her paperwork 😂 only after requesting the warranty and the receipt and documentation of engine number swap so I can show my insurance provider that it was definitely a new motor installed. When they installed the last motor they also broke half of my interior plastics & the radiator needed replacing two weeks after installation. This is just the beginning, I’ve been trying to get through to them for days. Multiple calls all with ‘ I’ll get someone to call you back in 10-15 minutes’ no one calls. They’re the dodgiest caryard I’ve ever dealt with and I will be seeking legal action.
Do not trust carco they don’t sell good vehicles
Do your research on the vehicle before you purchase from here!
Paid $70,000 for prado our dream family car which had defects after we bought it. Leaks from windscreen, brakes need replacing only on legal limit and now I have a leak from the aircon on passenger side, contacted the stat warranty lady she does not reply back.
Very disappointing they act all professional but just want to sell the vehicle and don’t care about you anymore.
Please do not trust this car yard.
