Irresponsible

Irresponsible. I bought Chanel earrings that turned out to be fake. I made a police report and reported to Carousell. Gave them my police report number so they could verify. Guess what. They did not bother. Sellee is amovintagecollections, so dont be scam and forget using carousell.

Very upsetting .....

I've been Carousell for more than 6 years. Had only good things to say but this incident has changed my view completely on how this Apps is running and non existing customer service they provided. Being a consumer, there's no protection at all.
My case started with 1 seller, who took my money and didn't deliver as guarantee and went MIA, no reply, no delivery on my goods etc, etc. I contacted the customer service and it was Andry who contacted me. Gave him all details with evidence and was told he has blocked and disallowed the seller till our transaction has been resolved. Guess what? Carousell didn't block him or whatsoever, I could still his posts and account. Customer service was lying to me and saying they have to prevent any new selling in the community. Sent this Andry 2 more emails on the next day for his explanation and of course, he doesn't answer to any of my questions. Miraculously, the next day the seller account was blocked and I've got a reply from the seller after a week that he's sorry and ran out of stock and refunding my money. My complain is there is no way I could review this Seller as he won't accept my offer, therefore he could run away with murder! And also I couldn't write in to Carousell to tell how bad this Andry is by lying and not answering questions and now the Seller is back on the listing. With this bad experience with Carousell the way they handle conflicts, I have lost all my confident!!

I want to give Carousell 0 stars. For me it's not a good app. Most buyers offer deals and cancel. You promote and use this option but fails to help sellers maximize it. You should educate your buyers that once they made an offer, they should live up to it because thats how the app works. Carousell used to be my fave selling app before. Ewan ko sa news users nila, SOBRANG BABARAT. NA HALOS 70% KUNG TUMAWAD. AND HIT RATE OF SELLING IS LOW. I KNW SOME MAY DISAGREE BUT THATS MY OPINION

Extremely useful app but extremely lousy staff

Carousell is a superb app to buy, sell or trade just about anything as long as it’s legal!
It is extremely convenient and the best part is that it is extremely local to its location.
I am Singaporean and have been using Carousell for over 3 years now! Unlike Amazon or eBay, Carousell allows you to meet-up with your buyers/sellers because everyone is from Singapore and using the Singapore Carousell app.

Business owners both online and with physical stores can conveniently generate more attention and customers to their shops or even increase local SEO via Carousell.

There are some funny cases of people unknowingly contacting their friends or acquaintances and only finding that out when they meet-up! Small world Singapore is.

However, there is a deep flaw in the company and that is the poor customer service.

The customer service may entertain your requests extremely well and politely, being humble and nice to you at times but when you contact them again some time in the future, they’ll give you a completely different explanation for your issue and may be rude, digressing and extremely slow or ignorant.

For example, once I’ve contacted them about my listing being taken down. The staff responded to me within a day with an automated reply. I then told them nicely that it was most certainly a mistake as I did not have any duplicate listings. They replied to me within a day and told me that the system made a mistake etc. and politely apologised, also providing me a 600 coins compensation for their mistake which costed me almost 2 days of sales.
The coins could be used to promote my listings which I appreciated.

However, about a month later the issue occurred again! The exact same listing got taken down and when I contacted them, I showed them proof and even the old email which showed that this has occurred before! I was extremely angry at the time, even more so when the staff (it was a different staff) took three days to reply! And the worst part was I was left with a copy paste reply. The reply which displays that the staff clearly had not read my email thoroughly and even looked through a single image proof I’ve sent. The context of his copy paste was completely to incoherent my concern. That left me even more angry so I contacted them again and told them to read the email properly before sending a copy pasted reply!

I was then replied once again that it was a system error and they have gone ahead to re-instate my listing. They also said that I should not make any duplicate listings to prevent this from happening!

Excuse me?!? I did not create any duplicate listings, did you not look at the images I’ve sent you which contains proof of my old email and proof that I have no duplicate listings?!?

That left me furious, at least the first time I contacted them, they even left 600 coins compensation. This time, I didn’t receive compensation and even pushed the blame to me when I showed proof that the fault is with them!!!

I then contacted them and told them that to not push the blame to me and that the previous staff left me compensation at least. The worst part was back then, I only lost one day’s worth of potential sales, this time the staff made me lose 5 days worth of sales!!!

I was then replied with ‘Please do not be rude as that can lead to the termination of your account’

Are you kidding me?!?
You should be grateful I’m not using vulgarities at that point!

I then explained my scenario one more time and the staff stopped replying to me, ignoring me. I bumped the email requesting for a reply to acknowledge the scenario but I did not receive any reply. I was ignored.
After about a week I stopped pursuing the matter and moved on, I was still angry but it wasn’t worth it.

Essentially, I was made to lose 5 days worth of potential sales and a buttload of angry.
Do note that I lost 5 days of potential sales for a listing in which I paid to promote. Yes, it was a paid listing.

Also, note that this occurred multiple times.

I love Carousell

I’ve been using Carousell for the last several years. I was in high school and sold power banks as a side income. I further used Carousell to sell various goods and used items around my house.

When I had an issue with the Carousell account before this, via email support they actually helped me to diagnose the problem and helped unblocked my account.

Overall Carousell has a huge potential. If you’re running your own business be it seeking services or products, I’d highly recommend to have a strong presence on Carousell as well.

Craposell !!! 🐍🐍

I am giving Carousell negative feedback as I am not happy using this so called app at all.Suspending my account without giving me a valid reason and just because I reported a scam artist in my previous account??? Thats absolutely absurd!!!! ALSOOO letting dodgy scammers and fake accounts continue to scam or set up others. Carousell lets them get away with it and denying they ever done such a thing,yet fire it back on me for dobbing them in!!! seriously?????.Was a complete waste of time buying and selling things as I had nothing recieved by sellers and having buyers not show up as well when I go to sell an item!!!!!!
Please fo the love of god, never sell your s##t there as they are a bunch of snakes!!!!

Best Sourdough Bread

I ordered the sourdough bread from “idohighteas” which was really good. I particularly like their black sesame sourdough bread and red dates sourdough. Not only were the breads freshly baked with good quality ingredients, the texture and taste were amazingly good. Definitely worth the price paying for. Highly recommended!

The WORST Customer Service

The WORST customer service staff, namely Sook Kuan (not sure if this is even his/her real name). Before my account was even suspended, I got a notice about an issue, so I contacted the customer service, and they replied saying I have 1 unresolved issue with another user, and I explained to them that there's no unresolved issue with that user, as I tracked back my transaction with that user. Then Sook replies and accuses me that the other user is also my account, and that I need to deal with it, which makes no sense at all, so I checked that user and even her account was inactive already. So I told Sook that user account is not active anymore, and that I only have one account, and he/she doesn't seem to understand at all, and then finally my account got suspended, and they're telling me to resolved the 1 outstanding issue (but they won't even tell me exactly what this issue is), and assuming this issue were even true, how the hell am I gonna do resolve it, if my account has been suspended.

I've also requested to communicate with the Manager, and the same staff (i.e. Sook Kuan) replies me, is she the only staff? All these has been very frustrating and they make no sense at all, very unprofessional, incapable staff, and no number that I can call!

Carousell is the worst platform to…

Carousell is the worst platform to visit.
They have the worst customer service.
Poor buy/sell guideline, unreasonable sales regulations.

Never will I visit Carousell again.

Definitely not a user friendly platform to buy/sell stuff very commercialised only want seller to get coins.

Highly not recommended.

Removes listings without proper reason

Customer support removed my listing of a 1" artisian folding knife (a genuine Coin Claw), while listing of much more dangerous knives like kitchen knifes and military knives remains, even counterfeits of the same folding knife weren't removed. Takedowns of my listings are severely biased and I only received canned replies, failed to explain why is a 1" folder illegal and asked me to file reports of such items instead. Shockingly bad and irresponsible attitude.

Customer service only cut and paste reply and do nothing to resolve issues. I agree scammers and unethical sellers are very active and Carousell not doing anything about it. Don’t waste your time going to customer service because they will not do anything to resolve your problems. Can still use this app for some cheap thrills though.

It’s an ok site

It’s an ok site they have an app you can download ,
I agree with the comment below their support system isn’t of much help scammers can get away with your money . How ever being vigilant & comon sense goes a long way never pay for large priced items to be sent only to pay on pickup. Not always check sellers feedback etc.
