I took my Land Rover discovery sport to get apple car play fitted. Which they said they had done many times before. I dropped the car off all fine and left it with them. They called me about 4 hours later to say it was ready. When I went to collect. The system wasn’t working and was constantly glitching. We spent 30mins trying to connect and disconnect phones in the car. They took it in the garage to reset the settings that would only take 5mins. Almost an hour later they told me it wasn’t possible and they had returned the car back to how it was before. I ended up wasting a full day and out of pocket for the cost of taxis there and back.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your experience, as customer satisfaction is always our top priority.
We have successfully completed numerous Apple CarPlay integrations on Land Rover Discovery Sports from 2016 with Harman operating systems, and we even have video demonstrations of these installations available on our YouTube channel.
When you brought your vehicle in, we proceeded with the installation as we normally would and conducted our standard testing process. Unfortunately, during demonstration, we encountered an unexpected issue, which caused intermittent screen flickering when switching back to the factory system.
After consulting with our CarPlay suppliers, it appears this may be due to your vehicle requiring a software update from Land Rover main dealer. This is a situation we have not encountered before, and unfortunately, it prevented us from delivering the seamless integration we strive for.
While we deeply regret the time you spent with us and understand the inconvenience caused, we ensured the car was returned to its original state and issued you a full refund despite the significant time and effort our engineers spent on your vehicle.
We value your feedback and are working to identify better solutions for these rare scenarios.
