Worst customer service experience
Worst customer service experience. The customer representatives were rude, nonchalant and unprofessional. I was left with a washing machine on my drive for days due to their incompetence. I would not recommend this company.
Absolutely appalling experience with…
Absolutely appalling experience with this company and their ice machine.
The unit has been faulty from the very first day we installed it – barely producing any ice, and most of the time the bin sits there 80% empty with zero ice being made. We’ve had multiple engineer visits (including one on March 2nd), yet every single time they blame it on “ambient temperature” or “environmental conditions” and close the job without fixing anything.
The ridiculous part? Our previous ice machine worked perfectly fine in exactly the same location for years with no issues whatsoever, even through hotter and colder periods. Now that ambient temperatures have improved (as they themselves admitted), the machine is STILL not producing ice at all. This clearly proves it’s not the environment – it’s a defective machine.
Despite clear evidence of a manufacturing/service fault, they’ve washed their hands of it, refused further action, and suggested we relocate the entire unit to a “warmer environment” (which is impossible and unnecessary in a commercial setup). No senior tech, no proper diagnosis, no repair, no replacement – nothing.
We’ve been left with a completely non-functional piece of equipment we paid good money for, during peak need. At this point, we’ve had no choice but to escalate as a warranty/consumer rights dispute and, if not resolved quickly, pursue recovery of our money through legal channels/small claims court.
Avoid this company if you’re looking for reliable equipment or honest after-sales support. Shocking customer service and zero accountability. 1 star is generous.

Poor service avoid at all costs, paid for items and asked to be given details of courier who would be delivering none of this happen. delivery was then not accepted now refusing to redeliver.
Also paid for the items one of them was out of stock they then attempt to charge me again for the whole order.

i have placed my order 10 days later i called them and they have not sent it out. they said i will get a refund, 10 days later i have not recieved the refund i called them and they said they will send it. now i am waiting. it sounds not good

I contacted Caterkwik by phone because I was looking to purchase an Igloo JF130WW server chill cabinet, a purchase of roughly £3,000. I chose to call rather than order through the website because I needed to confirm additional delivery options, specifically the removal of my old unit and unpacking/positioning of the new one.
Yesterday I spoke with someone called Connor from the sales team. He took all of my details — email address, delivery address, telephone number, and the exact unit I wanted — and said he would send me a quote including the additional delivery services.
24 hours later I had still not received any quote or follow-up. I phoned again this morning and spoke to another member of the sales team. She was immediately able to see on their system that I had spoken to Connor the previous day, so the enquiry had clearly been logged. However, despite explaining that I was still waiting for the quote, I still received no follow-up or response.
At that point I decided to take my business elsewhere due to the lack of communication. I contacted another supplier, Fridgeland, and the experience was completely different. Their sales team confirmed the unit was in stock, quoted for the removal of my old unit and positioning of the new one, and sent a pro-forma invoice to my email within about 10 minutes. I paid shortly afterwards and the process was handled quickly and professionally.
This was a straightforward £3,000 sale that Caterkwik lost simply because they failed to follow up on a quote that they themselves offered to send. Based on this experience, I found the sales process disappointing and unresponsive.

Had simple issue with deep fryer, they could’ve helped me through the phone, as fryer was under warranty one of their engineers visited us and fixed the issue like not even 2 minutes. Now I have £260 invoice, I called them they told me this is not covered by warranty. So please be careful with them, they’re always after something to charge you. I’m not going to use this company anymore.
Hot water boiler
I ordered a hot water boiler, it was the first time I had used the company so was really pleased to receive an email from Caterkwik who seemed genuinely interested and pleased to help. The boiler arrived on time, was well packaged and was very competitively priced.

Our top-loading washing machine arrived the next morning....
Our top-loading washing machine (3 years+ old) started to make terrible noises - we were able to talk immediately to a real person at Caterkwik about it, and he advised we needed a new machine (drum needed replacement). We verified this with an independent before getting back to them and placing an order - also done quickly and easily. Best of all, the machine arrived the next morning (we paid extra for fast delivery because of an incontinent dog!)
