Scam business. Long wait times, inferior product, expensive returns charge

Avoid this business and don't be fooled by the word Galway in the name.

I had already alerted Trust Pilot to Catherine Galway - a supposedly based in Dublin fashion company - as was not getting any response to several emails I had sent them regarding how to return an item I had purchased. The quality on the website looked much superior than what I received.
But when the company eventually got back to me they expressed that their warehouse is not is Dublin, but in an international destination, therefore to return the item would cost at least €50!
They suggested that it May be in my best interest to hold on to the item and that they would refund me 10% of the cost as well as helping with reduce carbon footprint….
Please beware ordering / purchasing any item from this website who claim to have opened recently in Dublin. It has been anything but easy or transparent and if you do purchase you need to be almost certain that you don’t want the option to return the garment - as the cost will be at least €50 +++ . I would be very sceptical purchasing from Catherine Galway again and I certainly won’t be ever engaging with this company in the future.

I took a shot on this one, stupidly. I was sucked in by the site name (I'm Irish), the very pretty pictures and the site looked good. I should have known better by the volume of ads for the site I saw on various platforms, and the lack of a physical site as far as I could find. I went ahead and bought a product. I waited about 3 weeks for the delivery, and the product I received looked nothing like the advert and was of shockingly poor quality. I'm not even going to try to get a refund based on some of the reviews here, and I don't have the time. Lesson learned! Please don't buy from this site

Beware! It’s a scam! The item arrived and it’s of a very poor quality. I asked for a refund and was sent this email:

Furthermore, by keeping the item or gifting it to someone else, you help us avoid the extra transit of a return. This supports our commitment to minimizing our environmental impact, which is a key part of our goal for CO2-free shipping and our shared efforts to combat climate change.

The Catherine Galway brand is a cover for a cheap, Chinese store with SHEIN quality clothes. Designed to deceive, and they deceive very well. No real boutique, no legacy clearance, just clever advertising for very poor quality product. They got me.

Scam please do not order as they take your hard earned money

This is a scam! I reported to get my money back! Item never arrived!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE SCAMMERS! Ridiculously poor quality & when asked for refund was offered 15%, argued back and forth and got that up to 50%. Company was reluctant to provide return address and when they eventually did it was in China! Wouldn’t even give the ‘clothes’ to the charity shop!

Ordered jumpers and blouses from this website. Nothing like what was advertised, of exceptionally poor quality and the sizes are all incorrect, When I asked for a refund was told would give me 15% back to order new ones and to keep the stuff i have. Was asked for additional monies to cover shippig and shipping came from somewhere not close to Galway. please do not buy from this website.
