The wort company ever, they even didn't feel shame to reply to my review and to lie that people can see how good they are, and they do not work in retailers favour. They do not feel shame to lie that... Ver mais

As most reviews have stated, CDRL have sided with Curry's PC World. Techscheme issue before Xmas, false information given by Curry's staff, funds taken - no goods received. Used own credit card, said I would get this refunded as per staff in-store. Found this not to be the case, complaint raised, deadlock received, CDRL complaint logged, Curry's offered refund plus 10%, I'm wasn't happy with this as they didn't admit guilt or or wasting my time, CDRL now have found this to be reasonable, Arbritrator findings very poorly written and not balanced.
PLEASE DO NOT USE CDRL OR CURRYS.
SHAMBLES.
Terrible communications. No use at all.
Web site poorly designed and almost impossible to navigate.
Phone lines open a few hours Tuesday and Thursday.
When "open" nobody answers anyway.
Problem tickets can be raised by they don't respond.
I got nowhere complaining direct with Easyjet/Tui but in the end a TUI rep recomended Aviation adr/CDRL. i put so much effort into providing them with details such as receipts, LOA documents, flight details, etc but it has all been a waste of time. Their system is so complicated to use and if you try ringing them for help or advice no one answers. Out going mails appeared to be lost in Spam folders without me knowing so deadlines were missed. They had all my phone details and no one called to speak to me. They just want to hide behind their faceless complicated software. Do not use.
I had already been awarded compensation by the ADR but had not received it so 12 weeks later I contacted this company. I have left several messages but still not received a reply in 4 weeks. My friend who was on the same flight as me and in the exact same position, logged a ticket with this company and received her compensation the same day!
So her review would be 5* however mine is definitely 1* and only because I can't score them a 0
A total waste of time I had a case against Ikea, I have been waiting for the so called adjudicator since the 31 January 2023 .I don't think this organisation is fit for purpose and does not do anything , you probably need a mediation service to police the mediator.
Can only echo 93% of reviews - total waste of time, paid for by retailers and presided over by some pompous idiot Sir Somebodyorother. It is a trade body, set up to support retailers, do not think for one minute it will support customers - you will be disappointed. Government should step in and close this immoral organisation. All retailers have to do is lie or distort the facts and get a determination in their favour. You have no right of appeal.
Unfortunately, there isn't any negative rating option otherwise it could have gone the infinite negative. Clearly CDRL works in favor of companies and not supporting even the right complaints of consumers. This is why retailers probably refers to cases to CDRL. I wasn't having any good feelings about CDRL and it prooved to be tru today. Contacting CDRL was anyways a big mistake.
Really don't waste your time, waited 5 months for a outcome for my complaint about being mis-sold battery storage for my solar from E-ON. I went into great detail as to why my complaint was valid and said if EON could provide calculations as to how the battery storage could be used fully would be happy and drop my claim. Simply got a response saying my complaint was unsuccessful, no reasons apart from a obviously templated letter.
Despite no response being lodged by IKEA to my complaint the adjudicator still found against me on the basis my claims were unsubstantiated. The ONLY evidence to consider was my written evidence. A complete waste of time and in my view unethical. Some people would fall for this believing they did not have a case. Do not waste your time. It also took months.
Honestly don’t bother, they are all crooks. Curry’s laughed at me when I said i would take the matter further, they said CDRL will never dispute them and always make a decision on curry’s favour. They were right about that.
Waited 3 months for a decision due to an awful sofa from SCS, which SCS admitted was faulty. They then blamed it on me being pregnant. I then had to chase for my ‘findings’ twice. Suddenly got an update finding in favour of SCS.
Don’t waste your time, go straight to small claims court.
This outfit has no interest in correctly applying law or fact. It refused to consider evidence or a response to the defence without any justification. My case was clear cut in that the retailer was in breach of contract and negligent, and yet it ruled in Curry's favour. It has no regards to timescales provided and the decision was issued one month late without any updates in the meantime and ignored entirely requests for the same. It is reprehensible that people like the CDRL are authorised to issue legally binding decisions and I will be filing a complaint with my MP and the relevant authorities as they clearly have no respect for the rule of law and are inherently biased towards the rogue traders. Such conduct is giving a terrible name to ADR which is not only professionally irresponsible, but is foolish. I will now have to appeal to the High Court and will clearly avoid this entirely inept and immoral organisation like the plague going forward. When retailers and banks etc (the Financial Ombudsman) feed reprobate arbitrators, like this one, their crust, there is clearly no independence at play and this is something we should collectively take up with our MPs if we want real change. Best of wishes to you all in obtaining justice.. the individuals working here are clearly in this profession for a very different reason and that’s on their conscience.
I believe this system is endemically corrupt. It is clearly not impartial and set up to deflect complaints for business. Currys sold me a junk tv that failed after 18 months and when I complained they told me to go to this shower, CDRL. I stupidly assumed they would be impartial. Just a waste of my time. Dont waste yours, you will get nowhere.
Extremely dodgy company in my opinion. Had to threaten court action against them as they refused to give me a resolution after 4 months. They then bombarded me with 14 emails telling me to check my online account. No surprise to say they ruled against me. At no point did they give me an explanation or any evidence or information from IKEA who I was pursuing the claim against. I did smell a rat when IKEA fell over themselves give me their details a while ago. They say they won't do anything if you disagree and have the go to court instead. Please don't waste your time. Take the company that you have a problem with to the small claims court instead.
Took 180 days after many tickets raised to get a resolution. Put a complaint in around end of October and got a reply tonight,28th December. Don't waste your time, go straight to small claims. Retailers pay this company for their service.
E.ON domestic installation of PV panels in May 2022 was badly managed and resulted in a complaint. E.ON failed to respond so I contacted CDRL on 18th July and described what went wrong in great detail. CDRL promised to reply within 90 days but went over without notification. CDRL's final determination on 8th December simply said: "Dear Claimant, I note that in this instance your claim has been unsuccessful and therefore there is no remedy awarded..." CDRL should have at least explained in outline why my claim was unsuccessful. I looked at the CDRL website but couldn't find anywhere to offer feedback which might help them to improve their process. After all the effort of making what I felt was a justified claim I get the feeling that CDRL have "given me the brush off."
Dont waste your time, if you have a dispute ,they will always back what you have been told already by the people you disputing against , that is why retailers especially, tell you to go to these companies, they know they will be backed by them , and we think we are getting independent judgement, when obviously not !!
Can't give zero stars! I read these reviews before making my claim and I still wasted my time anyway thinking mine may be different. Spent hours writing my case and providing evidence; it takes them 4 months to make a final determination (and that's only after I email them) and all they write is "null"... all the effort I put in (as they require so much) and they don't have the decency to explain why. Waste of time and effort, this company is only there so the companies who sign up their service have somewhere to fob their complaints off too.
I agree with other messages - CDRL is a complete waste of time. They took months to reply to my complaint and eventually ruled in favour of the retailer without any clear and logical explanation as to why. Don't bother using their service.
As I suspected, the reason the company were keen for myself and my wife to use CDR is that they funded this ombudsman in the first place . Just a massive waste of time and effort and licence to get out of taking any responsibility. How many companies offer to train you to shut a uPvC door as the fault is in the user shutting it too hard. And the Ombudsman agrees !!!
