It was so easy to fill out the forms and best prices

It was so easy to fill out the forms, it only took about five minutes. I got the same cover for what I was covered for with my previous boiler cover for a lot less so I saved quite a bit. And in this day and age with everything that's going on in the world when things are getting harder for us pensioners it's great when we get a good buy when you have to watch your money. Thank you

Avoid this company at all costs I have been with certi for about a year…

I have been with certi for about a year avoid this company we have had trouble with our boiler it’s been intermittent certi are Denying this we was paying for there so call top notch policy 35.00 a month then 50 pounds each call out they took 35 pounds out on the 5 of this month then 3 days latter they terminated our contract with out any warning refused to give us our 35.00 back we still got no heating or hot water it’s disgusting just got an email Denying any responceabily I have a young adult with autisam and one that’s a server Asthmatic if he catches a cold it puts him in hospital be Warned

Avoid. The first year with Certi we had to chase our service but they came eventually. We had switched from British Gas who were always very efficient at providing a service but kept putting their price up.

The second year was far worse. Understand that you are talking to a central admin office, who requests a service from an engineer local to you. Which should be a good thing, if the local engineers contact you to arrange the service, which they didn't in spite of me phoning many times. The lady on the phone apologised every time but was not allowed to give me the number to chase the local engineer myself. She "reassured" me it was highly unlikely my boiler would be dangerous even though it was in my son's bedroom and the service was well overdue. I Don't think she was a qualified gas engineer but I may be wrong. I could not leave until the end of September, unless I paid up the full amount even though the boiler has not been serviced. So I kept chasing.

At the beginning of September, I had an email to say my contract was up for renewal. Still no service. Obviously I wasn't going to renew, but I was frustrated I had paid a whole years contract for nothing. I rang to say this and the same lady told me I could organise my own service and send the invoice to them, they would refund a maximum of £60. I did this, a local company with excellent reviews, said they could come the following week. I was annoyed with Certi but prepared to chalk it down to experience.

When the engineer came they found combustion fumes where they shouldn't be and declared the boiler unsafe. The following day they came and fixed it. Mercifully it was not an expensive job - £97.50 in total.

I forwarded the invoice to Certi, requesting that as they had left us with a dangerous boiler they refund the whole amount. No response until I chased few days later, when the said they would pay £60 as agreed and not a penny more. I've have responded but not surprisinglythey haven't answered.

Avoid.

Stay clear of them they are expensive…

Stay clear of them they are expensive compared to others and always have a excuse not to carry the repair work out but still take your excess money and don’t refund when they don’t fix the problem, I’ve wasted hundreds of pounds with them and I would not recommend them

Unfortunately your last claim leading to this review was declined due to an extremely poor installation of the part requiring repair.

please dont join this company.its easy…

please dont join this company.its easy to join but once you have problems you realise how much they lack in providing a service in there own time..they are not 100% bad but 90% i would say on most heating and plumbing repairs.they were reliable on there servicing of my boiler.

Avoid like the plague!
I signed up for this company as it was the cheapest, apparently it's cheap for a reason. We have tried to get an engineer out twice, the first time they said it wasn't an emergency and wouldn't send anyone. The second time they said they wouldn't fix our broken boiler because we couldn't find a copy of the service document. Now they want to charge us to cancel our service (despite them providing no actual service for 2 years!). Avoid this company.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service provided by Certi. Where there is no boiler service included within a contract, we would require a service document dated within 12 months of the claim date, to ensure the boiler has been maintained as per the manufacturer instructions.

Service is everything

Quite a simple process and a helpful agent when i had a question. Cover cost is competitive and i hope the ongoing service will be as good as the set up. Service everything in my opinion.

Very poor service. I have 3 properties covered with this…

I have 3 properties covered with this company it’s home emergency so they call it, so far I’ve had a very bad experience with them, they need to know what the wording home emergency means, I had a leak in a kitchen and months later they have not been able to fix the issue but were quick to take an excess amount to get an engineer out, this took them weeks after several chases and calls, eventually they came without letting us know a date and time, we were told that parts are needed to fix the issues. Months later no second visit and no fix. I eventually contacted a local plumber to sort it out. I’m still waiting for a £50 refund and had nothing. I have been promised a call back so many times and no call back. I always get through to the same person in customer service won’t mention a name but not sure if she know what’s going on, she just apologises but this does not fix the original issues. I’m hoping this review is not ignored and the business does get back to me or else I’ll be cancelling my direct debit with them, I certainly would not recommend this company.

Refreshingly Helpfull Customer Service

While the online system for purchasing boiler cover did not fully explain the process. E.G. It didn't explain that once you had purchased the boiler cover you received an email instructing you how to arranged your boiler service and CP12 cert. The customer service person i spoke to was very friendly and helpful. She answered all my queries and explained everything very concisely which I felt made up for the shortcomings of the online system.

Very simple and easy to use site

Very simple and easy to use setup experience .. set up an account in a matter of minutes ... only slight concern was that I was being asked to put in my Card info. for payment (with the CVV) in a website page that I was not 100% sure was https: Hopefully there won't be any issues
