Engineer tried the door of our flat after testing a neighbour's property
My neighbour booked a certification in our block of flats. I was at home with my new baby and heard someone push my front door which was fortunately locked.
I opened the door and heard someone leave the building. I then looked outside the window and saw someone get into a branded 'Certify My Property' car.
I contacted the company to tell them what had happened. Someone on the phone said a manager would follow up, but I never heard back. I then wrote a follow up email but again got no response.
It was a little disturbing to be honest. I was hoping there could be an explanation or an apology. I can't see how it was a mistake as the engineer seemed to be leaving having already tested the property.

Just to respond to the company review… my door was tested on the way down the stairs from certifying my neighbour’s upstairs property. Not on the way back up. There was no misunderstanding about whose flat it was. The engineer wanted to see if my flat was secure or not! I’m pleased the door was locked.

I understand you are not a customer of ours, our engineer carried out works at a property next to yours and had gone to his vehicle to drop off his equipment to the vehicle then collect the remaining, when he came back to your block he thought the door to the original property was yours and realised it was the wrong door. Please feel free to check with your neighbour to be sure there was no ill will.

A brilliant experience using Certify my property. We booked for an emergency Gas safety and EICR test and the company ensured an incredibly quick turnaround and returned all reports to us promptly. I have a wonderful Fire Alarm panel…
I have a wonderful Fire Alarm panel system installed. Zoey organised a Fire Risk Assessment. The process was very easy and the Engineer explained every step. I will definitely used certify again.
