Premium price, poor durability and weak support
I purchased an Iron Man Front Bumper for my Jeep Wrangler JL from Chelsea Truck Co in January 2024.
After just 2 years of normal use, the bumper has developed significant corrosion, not only around the bolts but also across multiple areas of the surface and edges. For a product positioned as premium and designed for external/off-road use, this level of deterioration is unacceptable.
I contacted the company and, while they acknowledged the issue, they relied on the 12-month warranty period to deny responsibility. A replacement was initially offered as a goodwill gesture, but only if I covered all shipping and import costs (which are substantial due to UK–EU customs).
When I tried to find a reasonable solution, I was informed that the offer had been withdrawn due to time passing and lack of stock.
Overall, very disappointing experience. The product quality does not match the expectations, and the after-sales support falls short when issues arise outside the warranty period.
I would expect better durability and stronger customer support from a brand operating at this level.

We’re sorry to hear your concerns, however it’s important to clarify the full timeline here. Your bumper was purchased in January 2024 and is well outside of our 12-month warranty period.
Despite this, in December we offered a replacement bumper free of charge as a goodwill gesture, with the only condition being that shipping and any import-related costs would need to be covered. This was a fair resolution given the product was no longer under warranty.
That offer remained open, however we did not receive any response from you for over three months. By the time you came back to us at the end of April, the final available stock had already been allocated and we are not planning further production of this item.
As a result, it was unfortunately no longer possible to honour the original offer. Goodwill resolutions like this rely on timely communication so that stock can be reserved and actioned.
We always aim to support our customers where we can, including beyond warranty where appropriate, and it’s disappointing that this could not be concluded when the solution was available.

Overpriced Plastic
Overpriced Plastic. I didn't realize how expensive it would be to order this part. It was $700 or so online and I ended up paying $1,400 for an ill fitting piece of plastic. The part came in still requiring paint and adaptive hardware to mount. By comparison, I recently ordered a grill and light guards from Plumb/Stark. It came in at the same price but were made from heavy duty metal, that was painted and ready to install. I would never order from this site again.

The product you ordered is supplied exactly as advertised. It does not come painted or with mounting hardware included, and this is stated on the product page before checkout. Our parts are manufactured in a completely different way to the mass-produced metal items you have compared us to, and the pricing reflects that design and production process.
As you are based in the USA, any import duties, taxes or local customs charges are outside of our control. These are standard for international orders and are the responsibility of the recipient.
If the part is not fitting correctly, please contact our customer service team with photos. We will always investigate and support our customers when something is not right.

Not only was the shipping for a hoodie $80. But then I had to pay import fees of $30 once it got here.

The shipping cost you paid was the rate quoted directly by our courier at checkout, so it was fully transparent before you confirmed your order.
As outlined in our terms and conditions, any customs or import duties are the responsibility of the recipient. This is standard practice for international orders and is applied by the destination country’s customs authorities, not by us.
I hope that clarifies things, but please let me know if you’d like a copy of the relevant section from our terms for your reference.
