Brilliant Service
From the first visit to the showroom until the completed job the communication and service provided was excellent. Even when we did experience a slight hiccup during fitting, this was quickly sorted. Our overall experience of Cheshire Stove Shop is one of professionalism and we would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Heta 45 with log store installation …
We had the heta 45 with log store fitted by the team and are over the moon with the installation. The guys worked very hard and attention to detail was second to none. No mess was left and they were very tidy throughout what we thought would be a messy job!
Would recommend highly to anyone, thanks again.

Great product and excellent …
Great product and excellent installation. A couple of down points, carbon monoxide detector simply handed over at the end of the installation. I believe this is a strong recommendation from a safety perspective so I would expect this to be part of the install. Selling add-ons on the day, you budget for the unit cost and installation so to be presented with an additional cost on the day isn't good.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, I'm glad you are happy with the stove and the standard of the installation.
With regard to additional cost on the day, these are only ever optional products which any customer may or or may not choose to have. They are not mandatory items. Optional products are clearly priced separately on the quote from day one and there is certainly no pressure for you to use any of them. Anything that is a legal requirement for the installation is included in the original quote.
The only optional item I can see on your invoice was for the supply of a heavy duty cowl with integrated bird guard which as above was priced on the original quote as an optional product and purely offered at the time as the cost of supplying one on the day would be around £20 cheaper than getting someone else to go up and fit one at a later date.
The carbon monoxide detector is a stand alone unit with no batteries or wiring so installation isn't really a factor. If you would like us to pop back and stick it to the wall for you with some self adhesive pads I'm more than happy to - most people tend to just stand it on a book case or shelf.

Five star job from start to finish - Highly recommended
Great service from start to finish. Cheshire Stove Shop fitted a log burner for us and they did an extremely good job with thought and care. It looks fab and we love it! Would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Listened to what we wanted and described the options that resulted. Obtained all the parts and installed to the promised schedule without creating dust and dirt around the house. Very willing to correct the few outstanding snags. A very good job done and we're delighted with the result.

Wood burner, hearth and mantelpiece -- mostly good ...
Wood burner and hearth great. They didn't do a great job with the replastering above the mantelpiece but did some round to fix it (rather grudgingly, it must be said). The wooden mantelpiece developed a >1cm gash along most of its length after a few months. Shop referred me to the manufacturers' aftercare instructions which say that some cracks are inevitable and add to the natural beauty. My view was that a massive gash along the whole length is not normal and does the opposite of adding to the natural beauty. I lost the argument. I guess it's a matter of taste, but still .... I wouldn't anti-recommend CSS, but I definitely wasn't completely satisfied.

Thanks for the review Mrs Beebee, We are of course very sorry to hear that you did not feel completely satisfied. Ultimately I do feel that we did everything we could in the situation and as you say it is very much a matter of taste.
Customers are always advised that each beam is different, some have cracks and others don't - There is no way for us to control this and we always advise this at the point of purchase and leave an information sheet telling customer what to expect from their beam.
I would also point out that initially the opening was altered so that the beam could be fitted 450mm above the stove which is standard practice. You requested that this was made lower so that you could hang a piece of art above it and despite the alterations already having been made, we removed works we had already carried out and relocated them into the position you had requested. The closer the beam is to the heat source, the more possibility there is for growth / shrinkage due to the heat extremes.
We came back to survey the reported problem, and sent pictures to the manufacturer of the beam. Everyone concerned, the installers, the sweep and the manufacturers all agreed that a small amount of movement is to be expected in this situation.
I hope you are still enjoying your stove.

We recently had a 3 day job taken out by the Cheshire stove shop, Martin came to survey our house, made sure we knew exactly what the job intailed and helped us choose our stove, halve and oak beam. It looks increadible. No mess left what so ever. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking ar having a stove installed. Professional through and through. Top job guys and thank you.
