Although I have been a music director…
Although I have been a music director for decades, I only really discovered the site late last year. I couldn't believe the vast amount of songs. I ordered a song quickly to have ready for Christmas rehearsals down the line. I spot listened to a track or two to confirm the arrangement was the same. (I had no reason to believe any other issues as long as they played and were the correct arrangement).
After eventually giving the tracks out (though some didn't want them), I listened more thoroughly to double check something I was working on and that is when I discovered issues.
One word was made plural, but that was something I would have overlooked. One track had incorrect rhythm on a part, and the members had been practicing it wrong. Two tracks had sections reversed on which part belonged where. Another had rhythm issues. One track skipped a section of the song entirely. (that was one that the two members on the part didn't want tracks to practice with or I may have been tipped off earlier).
I emailed with a list of where the problems were. Matthew Curtis answered quickly and said he would have the corrected tracks sent ASAP. It didn't happen.
Fast forward 11 days later, I decided it was best to get the accompaniment track from him instead of making my own because we had been practicing with them at rehearsal. I figured surely more care and quality control would be taken on performance tracks if not rehearsal tracks. I was wrong. It entirely skipped a section. In frustration I reached again and told my dilemma and how I had needed the track for rehearsal that night, It was crickets from that point out until I filed claims on our credit card.
Then he replied to them (still not to me) saying that I hadn't reached out to him which wasn't fair, and that he would have fixed things and maybe even issued a refund (my question is if he was so willing to issue a refund, then why complain about it then). While he MAY have been referring to the second one (I had not sent in the correspondence for that), I indeed had.
So, I had to pay to fax all correspondence with him and as of now he never responded to the credit card company. I had sent him evidence of my interactions with him as well.
The website is also very buggy. I don't know if the master copies of the tracks are messed up, or if it is a problem with uploading or files corrupted, but it is a mess. I may well have been a future customer (I intended on looking through the vast library closer) and would have recommended him to other directors I interact with. Instead, I will have to not mention it at all, and share my experiences to anyone who brings the company up. I wasted a good amount of time on this, but feel responsible to be a good shepherd of God's money. Plus, people just letting it go enables him to keep earning money for defective product and lack of communication to fix it.
I have just today seen other sites who seem to be doing the same type of thing, but spot checking shows way less variety, and I have no idea on whether they would have similar issues or not.
My suggestion is that anyone with issues do the same. The date provided was the last order, but most of the problems were from a 10/16/25 order.
