Chums may well be a good company if you’re FAT.
I tried looking for a quality pair of formal trousers only to find that whilst they stocked quality brands, Farah, for example , the smallest waist size I could find was 32” which was disappointing enough but to get any trousers 34” in length you needed to be 34” waist upwards. How about stocking sizes from 29” waist and 33” length upwards for the slimmer man? To be honest there are very few companies around that meet this criteria, SO, Come on “Chums” why not be one of those companies,I’m sure you will benefit greatly from this.
Placed an order..sent wrong colour...asked them to replace ..never heard back.
Avoid
I bought some boots and returned them for a smaller size I didn't get the smaller size after waiting a week for the boots! Then they say that they have refunded me. I will have to check. They are very vague. I don't know if I'm going to get the boots. Their emails take a week to reply. I'm not going to call them because their number is too costly. I feel like I'm in limbo :(
On the 20th October we ordered goods from Chums and paid by credit card. Six days later Evri emailed to say there were going to deliver. We waited and waited. Emailed both Chums and Evri many times and telephoned. Nothing. Not a word. Take your money and then do not deliver goods. Warning do not expect customer service from Chums or Evri. We are now taking legal action to recover monies
This has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with!!!!!
A very dear friend of mine placed an order with Chums in July this year and the cheque was cashed in the August. No goods were ever received and I was informed a refund would be sent out in the next 10 working days. Nothing arrived and despite numerous phone calls no refund was made.
I was then told they had never received the cheque however on contacting the bank I received photographic evidence that they had cashed it !!!
Given that I was getting no response I looked up the details of Chums on Companies House website. Having got a list of the Directors I emailed them regarding the situation. And guess what no response!!!
I then tried to get a telephone number of their head office and after some searching I managed to get one. Eventually after trying a number of extensions I got through to an individual called Tom who wasn't prepared to give me his surname!!!
I went through my complaint yet again which he was able to pull up on his computer. He then advised me to send a copy of the cheque that had been cashed by the company to Kendall Banks who is the call centre manager. This I did and to my surprise received a phone call a couple of hours later from a customer care operative assuring me refund would be sent in the next 10 working days. I'm not holding my breath!!!!
I raised the issue of perhaps Chums providing my friend with some form of compensation. The operative spoke to her manager and said as a jesture of good will they would offer free delivery on the next order they received!!!!
WHAT
Why would my friend place another order with this dreadful company given his recent experience

As Chums know my friend has terminal cancer so shopping is really not high on his agenda.
This company prays on the vulnerable and elderly. They need to be named and shamed. If anyone would like to join me in taking their experiences to the media weather that be the press or TV please let me know.
Customer services don't exist they are useless i have been trying to get a refund for over a month, excuse after excuse bunch of cowboys. I refuse to ring them on there expencife call ratesthey just keep you hanging on then cut you off it costs more than the refund i am owed. Avoid at all costs. Its a pity no onnfrom them moniters these reviews.
Items paid for and not delivered and have written several negative reviews and rung customer service and still no chocolates!!!! Iwill have to ask my bank to investigate this company as there has been no attempt to deliver goods or return money.

I ordered on 3rd September. Today 15th September I finally got through on the phone to them. The girl was lovely but she couldn’t help us. She checked and our items were in stock but we had heard nothing and got nothing from them. I sent 2 emails but got no reply. The girl said she could put us though to someone else but we decided enough was enough. We asked for our money back which she said she would do but it will take up to 2 weeks before we should get it. I will never use this company again. Their service is non existent.
Wrote a poor review on Chums so they asked me to send them contact details so they could put things right. So I did and got a email saying one of their agents will contact me within 3 days. That's was over three weeks ago!! For me it was just a ploy by them to try and fool everybody that they care - my experience tells me they don't!!
I have wrote two reviews about this company.the mattress topper is useless.They Said sorry leave your contact details and we will get back to you and sort it out.They haven't. I have noticed they say this to most complaints. I wonder if they ever contact anyone.
Chums itself is OK but they insist on using EVRI (formally Hermes) as. they're courier who are as much use as a chocolate teapot. They sent me an e-mail (under a no reply cover) to say that they had my parcel under a two day delivery deadline. Four days later I have received NOTHING, not even a note to say they are running late or how to contact them!
