My name is Fabiana Papaleoni and I am an Italian and Latin languages teacher and tutor. I grew up in in Italy where I graduated in Italian Language and Literature at the Universita’ di Lettere e Filosofia in Parma. Simultaneously, I pursued violin performance and music studies at the Conservatorio di Musica “Arrigo Boito” in Parma. I work as Adjunct Lecturer at the University of New Haven CT and I am currently an Italian Teacher at the AUX 3 POMMES, LLC Foreign Language School in Guilford and I work as Per Diem Substitute Teacher at the Guilford Public Schools. I offer Italian language courses, private lessons, book clubs and seminars about Italian Art, Music and Literature. I also offer private assistance to costumers in organizing trips to Italy. I design and develop each student’s program based on their goals, level, and interests, with the help of a variety of materials. I personally create presentations and handouts, and I get support from printed books as well as online digital resources after I assess their value for the course. The use of technology is an essential tool in teaching a foreign language, and I rely on websites that offer a vast range of language exercises and games, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and music, often easy and free to use, that can help efficiently with the progress of the learning, meet the student’s interests, and provide some entertainment. I offer my lessons in person as well as online, being aware of the invaluable advantages of distance learning.

Fast paced, very thorough.
The teacher provided an amazing amount of support material that was easy to use as an online "binder".

This was an enjoyable class
This was an enjoyable class, and I learned so much in just 6 weeks. I'm feeling more confident about speaking the language and will continue to practice so I'll be ready to parlo italiano quando io viaggerei in italia la prossima estate!

Outstanding Italian Lessons
Fabiana is a warm, organized, and incredibly effective Italian instructor. She provides her students with information from a variety of sources, including textbooks, movies, videos, and music. The result is a blast of exposure to the Italian language and culture. Fabi makes it both educational and fun, and I look forward to continuing with her.

Fabi is an excellent teacher
Fabi is an excellent teacher. Extremely organized and thoughtful regarding her approach to teaching Italian.
She makes sure you understand the each topic that is covered in a very supportive and encouraging manner.
The lessons are challenging and so much fun!

Fabi was wonderful
Fabi was wonderful. I took a beginner course and she was a fantastic teacher. I like that part of each session was dedicated to practical use in addition to structure. The beginner lesson was a great way to be introduced to the language.
