After being messed around by other large car dealerships this was so easy and quick. Really happy so far with my new car and service at the handover.

Great buy a car. Pick it up was just wrong. 1 out 10 crap.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Sandy for all the help and support she’s given me throughout this whole situation.

It’s been a really stressful and frustrating experience, but Sandy has always been kind, patient and understanding whenever we’ve spoken. She’s taken the time to listen, kept me updated where she could and has genuinely tried to help move things forward by speaking to the relevant teams.

Even when there wasn’t an immediate answer, I always felt that Sandy cared and was doing everything she could behind the scenes. That reassurance has meant a lot during a difficult process.

Thank you, Sandy, for your professionalism, empathy and persistence. It really doesn’t go unnoticed and I genuinely appreciate everything you’ve done for me. I hope your hard work is recognised because you’ve made a difficult situation much easier to deal with.

Great customer service, but Cinch missed a few simple pre-delivery checks

I’ve had my car for a few weeks now and wanted to leave an honest review.

Everyone I dealt with—whether over the phone, via email, or in person at the Derby branch—was friendly and helpful. I opted to collect the car from Derby myself to save on delivery fees, which gave me a 150-mile drive home to get used to it. As someone who isn't accustomed to all the modern tech in newer cars, the handover advisor was brilliant at walking me through everything.

That said, Cinch advertises thorough multi-point checks, but a few basic things were missed on my Kia EV6:

Data privacy: The infotainment system was still logged into the previous owner’s account with their details saved. Shouldn’t this have been factory-reset beforehand?

Interior prep: Driving back into the sun, the inside of the windscreen was covered in a film of grime. I had to pull over to clean it so I could see properly.

Fluid levels: During the drive home, I used the screenwash for just a couple of seconds and the "low washer fluid" warning popped on. Surprised this wasn't topped up as part of their checks.

Overall, the buying process and staff were great, but Cinch needs to pay closer attention to these basic vehicle preparation details.

Miss informed at purchase, not delivered when promised and ended up having to collect. I have reported issues will the car and still waiting over a week to get a response.

The depot in Avonmouth was hard to find even with a sat navigation.The hand over was easy the people were very polite.I love the car in perfect showroom condition.I am very happy with Cinch.This is the second car I have bought from them and both sare brilliant.Many thanks Cinch.

My experience with Cinch was completely unacceptable from start to finish.
I purchased a Ford S-Max, arranged finance, insurance and everything needed to collect the vehicle. I then set off on a 2½-hour journey to collect it. It wasn't until I was already over two hours into the journey that I received a call telling me to turn around because the vehicle could not be released due to an outstanding manufacturer safety recall that had not been completed. This should have been identified before the vehicle was advertised, sold, finance activated and customers were expected to travel.
What followed was over a month of delays while Cinch attempted to make the vehicle fit for delivery. During that time, they damaged the vehicle themselves, breaking the passenger door handle and other trim while carrying out repairs. I was then expected to wait even longer and accept a repaired vehicle that was no longer in the condition I had agreed to purchase.
To make matters worse, the vehicle was also misdescribed and did not have the advertised Sony sound system, one of the key features that influenced my decision to buy it.
Communication throughout was appalling. I constantly had to chase for updates, calls were transferred or disconnected, promised timescales came and went, and I was left with no clear information. Even after waiting over a month, the vehicle was still not delivered.
In the end, I had no option but to reject the vehicle. Black Horse upheld my complaint in full, unwound the finance agreement and refunded the transaction.
Despite this, I am still out of pocket as a result of Cinch's failures. I have incurred transaction-related fees and other costs directly arising from this failed purchase, and I am still pursuing reimbursement. A straightforward vehicle purchase turned into months of unnecessary stress, wasted time and financial loss.
Based on my experience, I have no confidence that vehicles are properly checked before being advertised for sale, and I would not recommend buying from Cinch.

Devina our contact was supremely helpful and guided us through the easy process. Very pleasurable and seamless. Ian released the car to us and again courteous , funny and easy.

Car delivered to me with broken audio knob, dead battery in1 key fob, rear tyre split all round, badly scarred front brake discs, on 2026 MOT (done by Cinch)not mentioned but high lighted on 3 previousMOTs. Cinch inspector condemned the car as unsafe to drive.

I waited and got the model and reasonable mileage I was looking for in a used car. I was given a decent part-exchange offer. The whole process was straightforward and well explained. I'm really happy with me new vehicle.
