I honestly can’t recommend CJ Performance Cycles Cramlington/Giant Newcastle highly enough!!

As a young female cyclist, I’ve unfortunately had some really negative experiences in bike shops elsewhere. I’ve been dismissed or made to feel like I don’t know what I’m talking about, from being told I don’t need a high-end bike to being questioned about whether I’m capable of doing basic maintenance myself. It can be incredibly frustrating when you’re passionate about cycling and simply want to be listened to and treated with respect.
This shop has always been completely different. They take genuine pride in their work, listen carefully to what I have to say, ask the right questions and take the time to understand what I actually need or want. They never make me feel like I’m asking a silly question, and they’re always happy to explain things and help me learn along the way.
They consistently go above and beyond, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about the quality of their work and their customers. I now live at the other end of the country, but I will still always make the effort to come back to this shop.
A brilliant shop with brilliant people, and exactly the kind of place that makes you feel welcome in cycling. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

Fantastic service from CJ Performance Bicycles. I bought a bike for my daughters birthday and the whole experience was excellent.

There was a slight delay because they spotted an issue with the original bike before sending it out. Rather than send anything they were not happy with, they waited for a replacement from the factory, Tim contacted me straight away, kept me fully updated, and were very clear about when I could expect delivery.

When the bike arrived, it was in fantastic condition, really well assembled and packed extremely securely. I also called afterwards with a couple of questions about the final assembly at my end, and they were very helpful.

They also gave me a discount and sorted out a kickstand, which I had forgotten to order, with free postage. Overall, they were friendly, professional and very easy to deal with. It felt like they genuinely cared about getting everything right. I would happily recommend them.

I bought some Rapha bib shorts. Whilst the price was the best I could find when I ordered them it became apparent that they would not be dispatched for 15 days. This was a bit disappointing but to then be charged £6.99 for the privilege was, in my opinion, outrageous considering the package was a super lightweight pair of shorts. I emailed in to question this but never received a reply. On a positive note the shorts are excellent, which is why they get 3 stars not less.

Great Company, best price for the bike on the internet. Had delivery problems (DPD lost the bike £1700, yikes), but the staff always kept me informed & I received a replacement. The bike was virtually set up, just the handle bars to adjust & pedals to fit, it was also well packaged. I highly recommend this company & would absolutely use again.

Slightly disappointed that the original package box the balance bike came in was not wrapped up and sent. Having it arrived coverd in brown wrapping tap spoiled the Gift to my daughter for her baby .

Ordered a Coros Dura bike computer, great price and speedy delivery with DPD. Very pleased, thanks.

Needed some new shoes. Great to actually find somewhere where you can try them. Very good service from knowledgeable staff. Recommended.

Potentially this company is very good at face to face sales, and if that is the case they should stick to what they are good at.

The positive, I found the bike my wife wanted and the price was pretty good.

The bad, this company does not appear to believe in pro active communication, I believe if I hadn’t called them the bike would still be in their store.

It took 2 calls to get the delivery process going, and then we have the delivery company who didn’t collect the bike on time and currently have missed the estimated delivery time slot.

Not sure what the bike looks like as it has still not been delivered.

Possibly the best company I have ever dealt with! From start to finish communication was great and the bike arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Some major delivery hiccups with DPD but Stephen couldnt have been more helpful to ensure that we received the bike in time for my sons birthday. He went over and above and we are very grateful for all his efforts. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend CJ performance cycles to anyone wanting to purchase a bike and would 100% order from them again.

I have recently ordered a bike for my daughter and some spares for myself excellent click and collect service and staff.

I recently visited Chris to adjust the seat on my new bike. Although Chris has done bike fittings for me before, I needed to address the discomfort I was experiencing on extended rides due to perineum numbness. I decided to replace the original saddle with one known for comfort, featuring a gap to relieve pressure, but I didn't install it myself since the dimensions were slightly different. Reaching out to Chris was the right decision; he expertly fitted the saddle and even tightened my headset as an added perk. I consistently endorse quality service, and Chris provides exactly that.

Had an excellent bike fit session at CJ Performance Cycles with Chris. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain every adjustment and the reasoning behind it. The fit made an immediate difference to my comfort and confidence on the bike. Super friendly service and very professional throughout — I couldn’t recommend Chris and CJ Performance Cycles highly enPugh!

I was searching for a Giant Roam 4. Ordered it on Tuesday evening and it came on Friday morning. All the way from Newcastle to Dorset.
