Close Protection Academy is a great training provider for all types of training. I recommend Nick PLAYER as a trainer who not only has sound knowledge of the topics, he also has previous background in the Police. A very nice venue with modern facilities and close to a train station.

My course, (CP Refresher) was run in a most professional manner by Nick, who is a very experienced and competent instructor. I have no problem in recommending this company for any courses they run.

The trainer explained everything clearly and encouraged participation, The material were easy to understand and the learning environment was supportive and inclusive. I gained valuable knowlage and practical skills that i can use in my role.

The classroom size was small which worked really well for me as I'm neurodivergent and can get overwhelmed sometimes. The course structure throughout was great. Great company to compete your courses with. Location is perfect weather your commuting via vehicle or train, parking and cheap accommodation is also very close by. Instructor Nick Player was bang on with presenting and instructing the CP Top-up course, nothing was rushed and everything was explained and taught in detail and at a pace which was enjoyable. Will definitely be going back to CloseProtectionAcademy for future qualification requirements.

When you consider the security industry authority and their lack of acceptance around mechanical restraints and their ignorance of the usefulness for health and safety and preventing further public order, it shows. There are companies out there like this, who don’t only just provide a service, but also really enjoy the delivery of something that keeps some Security staff safe in both the close protection world as well as the night time economy.
This course is well delivered well received I would definitely book for another course again in another area of security.

Went to the handcuff training today with close protection academy. Amazing course, Nick is a great trainer, super informative and knowledgeable giving in depth details along with live physical interaction to give you a feel of how to apply the mechanical restraints correctly. I would HIGHLY recommend this course as it can be very useful and effective in the CP field.
