Costumer service, instructions 0 to none
Hi, The product was bought on Amazon stating a delivery day, but as soon as I purchased it, I started receiving messages from the seller saying the dates are never the same as Amazon. Then, a tracking code was never provided. The one on Amazon was wrong, and even though the seller said it was wrong too, I asked multiple times and they never provided a correct one. All they said was that someone would call me. I have a very time-consuming job and I can’t be answering calls from unknown numbers. In the UK, it’s very common for me to receive several spam calls weekly, so I wouldn’t know which number was the right one.
Nothing was provided, and I kept following up about where the furniture was. Even though they wasted my time with back and forth, they never provided the correct tracking number.
Finally, someone called and luckily I answered during my work time on the 9th of April. We agreed on delivery for Monday, 13th of April, because I was not going to be home on the weekend. It was absolutely useless to schedule a day, because to my surprise, the following day (10th April), someone knocked on the door while we were still in pyjamas, and it was the furniture. Our preferences and scheduled time were completely ignored.
Also, I went through the full listing, and the seller states it is curb collection, not delivery. For those who don’t know, please start checking their cheeky way of hiding this detail. It was inside a button saying “details”, not in the visible description or fine print—just a button that normally no one sees or presses.
Both me and my partner have back problems, and with no information about this, we had to carry the furniture with the delivery man to the garden, which is just a few steps away from the curb. The delivery man was nice, but regardless, it was not his place to make cheeky comments that it was me, the woman, who purchased it and not my male partner.
Lastly, during assembly, there were zero instructions showing which piece goes where. I had to use the advert photo to understand, and even then I initially put the L-shape pieces the wrong way around. The only instructions provided were how to put a few screws in the table to secure the top, and a few screws in one of the seating armrests. When I raised this with the seller, they said no instructions were needed because it comes assembled. This is a completely non supportive answer, since I had to figure out positioning from a photo. Any item should include a clear representation of how parts should be positioned.
Their customer service replies, but they are extremely vague and show no intention of properly addressing concerns—only superficial responses to appear helpful.
The boxes arrived with several holes. During assembly, I also noticed strips falling off when turning pieces around, which raises concerns about quality.
After all the stress, time wasted, back-and-forth communication, back pain from carrying items (which should have been clearly stated as curbside only), and failure to respect the agreed delivery day, I asked for compensation. They initially offered £40 and clearly stated that this compensation was only for the delivery driver’s error on the date, nothing else, which shows they do not care about any of the other issues. I explained that for the amount of stress, physical issues, lack of information or instructions, and the amount of back and forth required, I did not agree, and I believe a fairer amount would be around 10% of the total price, which is only slightly more than £40 but not significantly higher. They did not say no, but instead went ahead and refunded the £40 without my consent.
Since it has been raining a lot, I haven’t had the chance to go outside and take more photos of other issues, as I barely had time dealing with everything and assembling the furniture so I could cover it and protect it from the rain.
There are also two black pieces that I assume are meant to secure the two parts of the L-shape, but we couldn’t fit them in any way, and again there were no instructions. I asked about this and was ignored, never receiving an answer. This means the two parts of the L-shaped sofa will move around easily.
I will be trying to take this further with Amazon directly to see if they can help. I would not buy from this seller again if you want to save yourself time and a headache.

Quick delivery , pleased with the furniture, ordered sofa set with Coffee table and a recliner chair , was put in our garage ready for hubby to assemble. What I didnt realise was that the Coffee table was arriving separately which I didnt know , thought message was a scam when it said I had a parcel being delivered a few days after first delivery.
