Great Experience

Next time we need this kind of help, we're making one call.
Our experience with Comfort Keepers (near Trophy Club/Argyle, TX) was great! We thought we would need a high level of care for a relatively short time, but we didn't have a clear sense of when the first day would need to be. EVEN WITH THAT, Vicky Whitington made it look easy! She came out to the house, assessed the situation, and found the perfect carer for us. That carer, Susanna was great! We had no experience with this sort of thing, so we really didn't know what to even ask for, but Susanna's initiative and creativity made up for that. Excellent service from start to finish.

Comfort Keepers in North Dublin were…Excellent

Comfort Keepers in North Dublin were excellent at minding my mother, who had dementia. Some of the carers were really gifted. All were caring. You could sense they really loved Mam. The management were excellent despite typical family conflict, calm and professional, communicating well. As an experienced gerontological nurse, I have high standards of care and overall, i was very happy with comfort keepers and their reliability. everyone knows there is a crisis in home care nationally but Mam was well looked after. I am very grateful to Comfort Keepers

They Looked for the same documents like…

They Looked for the same documents like cv proof off address & photo ID over & over they are wasting my time I wish I never applied here stay clear from this company wouldn’t recommend i feel like I was being lead to believe I passed the 1st stage sheer waste of time ….. no response after I sent the documents twice ridiculous carry on..

Very unprofessional.

I was contact by one of the Lead generation Team
Comfort Keepers for a job application as a Live-in Cariergiver by email, and was told to send supporting documents for my application. I told them that will need two days to colect the nesesery pepper work. A day letter I resived a email stating that I'm supposed to send all the nesesery things. I was able to email everything a day after. I had to collect a letter from my bank as a prove of address, normally it will take a few days the bank to provide the letter. And then keep in mind that things has to be in English. For my surprise I resived a email shortly after that, stating that my application was unsuccessful. Without any reasonable explanation why when I emailed all the nesesery things my application was "unsuccessful"?!

Very disappointing and unprofessional. There is miscommunication going on between them and you very much.

DON'T recommend them. It will be a headache. There is many other company's that are more reliable to work with.

Terrible company

Terrible company, I would not trust them with a dog never mind a vulnerable older person. The carer's overdosed my fathers medication, then tried to blame him, even though I had personally given clear instructions, wrote them down, got the hospital to email them too, they let him miss medication also and my Father took very ill after two days of incorrect medication taking. When I pulled one of the carers up on it he showed no remorse, blamed my Dad and told me I'm not a good person. They also wrongly told me my Father was end of life palative care, he had organ failure and a palative team will be coming to him, NONE of this was true and caused a lot of distress to my family and I until I found out from the hospital this was not the case. Its very hard to get them to admit anything, they prefer to try blame somone else. The times were not adhered to, they sent people out that didn't seem to know what they were doing and my Dad has been extremely upset with his experience. He was in hospital for four months and should have come out to recuperate at home, we are only with them six days and we are now in search of a different company, two of the carers were excellent but the company as a whole, I would avoid like the plague. If I could leve minus stars I would, disgrace of a company. Avoid, avoid avoid

Disorganised process and poor communication- Disappointing Candidate Experience

I initially had a positive impression of this company during my first interview, but unfortunately my experience quickly changed.After being accepted for training, I had to wait two months for my scheduled session. On the day, I struggled to find the location due to a lack of clear directions, and no one answered my calls. I even emailed them, but as a result, I missed the scheduled time. They rebooked me for another interview — again after another month of waiting.

When I finally attended training, day one felt more like being back in school than practical job preparation. We were asked to take notes and then told at the end of the day that there would be a test the next morning, based entirely on that day’s material. We were given very limited time to prepare, and no one was informed in advance about the test. The questions were challenging to learn in just a few hours.

After completing the training, I received no update on my results or next steps. Two days later, I had to contact them myself, only to be told I had not been accepted.

In my opinion, this experience showed a serious lack of communication and respect for candidates’ time. I turned down other opportunities to attend, and I left feeling disappointed and undervalued also they knew that they don't have work in the area but they choose to waste mine and everyone's time

Not sufficient time

My parent is been looked after through this company. The process has now changed to 2 carers at a time meaning that if one arrives early they can not enter the house until the second arrives, which could be 30mins later. This results that they are rushing to get to the next client.
What assistance can be done in less than 20mins. The service is very poor.

Worst experience. I've had complete dissatisfaction with the supervisor and staff they sent me. Some situations I had were arriving over an hour late but agency does not have them make up the time. Dirty greasy dishes, etc they left unwashed, being told they did my dishes only to see that dirty dishes were left after checking when they leave, one worker told me she couldnt lift my garbage can so i had to throw out my garbage, one refusing to go into my befroom for supplies in my closet. Putting dirty and greasy unwashed pots etc back into cupboards and under sink cabinets, disrespectful, dishes washed that contained food and not washed properly,
complaining, not following directions, displaying an attitude, orders and instructions, new workers scheduled and not showing up at all, agency not notifying me that workers wont be coming in that day, agency not meeting the times scheduled for workers per week, turnover of workers, walking off the job without explaining why, on their telephones conducting their personal business, not wearing any uniform or badges, not wearing their seat belts when I was in their vehicle, asked for personal possessions that I was throwing away. Being told that they did take care of something when they didnt. Being lied to, not making my meals, Unprofessionalism and poor communication and no empathy with supervisor I was assigned to over their workers. They dont care when i addressed all my complaints. Finally they wouldnt send me anyone else. Told me to find another agency. Because i had too many things. I of light housekeeping but the workers they didnt do that. They did not do their job.thats why they were hired but I had laundry stacked because their workers wouldnt wash it. Misc not put in proper places. And i didnt have enough hours for them to do it as this company never gave me workers to fulfill my schedule. Today after many months being with this company i was told my house is too messy. That it requires deep cleaning. I looked up the definition of it and my household didn't require it. It is a bit messy but nobody arranged my stuff to make it tidy. Also because they didnt send workers in the first place to meet the schedule and all the trouble that i indicated here. Kept getting workers to do their job correctly etc.Today one worker just walked off. Note this has happened before with other workers.. Nothing was said to me when I was on my phone. She was here and walked out after a day working here. I asked her to clean my bathroom and she took the supplies left them on the floor and was gone. She left a broom and pan in another spot which didn't belong there. I tried calling her but she didn't answer her phone. This company and workers had a total lack of respect for being a senior disabled person to sum it up. I was mistreated and this agency was poor. They caused me much stress. I also question if these workers are even trained for the job they were hired to do. Like I said today I was told by the supervisor to find another agency. I shouldn't be dealing with this. They created it for me. I wasnt responsible. All I was seeking is help. The workers didn't do their jobs.

abandoned me during their shift

I am a disabled Veteran with a severe anxiety disorder and ptsd. The other day I had some difficulty breathing through my nose and I needed more air and I needed medicine from the cupboard and my helper started dragging all kinds of things out of the cupboard and my anxiety went up and he left. He just left me and when I called Comfort Keepers to find out why he never come back, they said he said that I yelled at him and if all that is so, I thought it was against the Americans with Disabilities Act to cite the symptoms of somebody's disability as a matter of blame or personal fault, and certainly not to deny anyone's services. In any case they immediately discontinued services to me without even asking me what happened or if I'm all right even. And by the way I don't know why I would yell at him, I don't talk to people like that. My voice have been up in my severe anxiety which I was even having trouble trying to speak as I didn't have my voice box unit handy. They never were interested or attempted to find out from me what happened. It was one-sided and it was their side only, the guy was kind of lazy anyway; most of the time he wanted to sit around and talk. He just vanished and left me when I needed him the most, in a vulnerable moment left alone and no call back from comfortkeepers.
Of course I'm not being made privy to any of these things or claims or writings so where's the Justice in that? There isn't. It's a sketchy organization made of basically sketchy people who can't seem to hold a job for very long. The workers constantly complain about the amount of money Comfort Keepers gets from the Veterans Administration per hour compared to their hourly wage as workers. The workers can't stand Comfort Keepers because they get their schedules moved around so much and often don't even get 32 hours a week which they State they must have to keep their households running. For me the bottom line in all this is that they cite the symptoms of my disability as the reason to disqualify me from receiving services. That is directly against what the Americans with Disabilities Act which states that its illlegal to cite the symptoms of someone's disability as a basis for rejecting them from receiving government services, as well as government subsidized services.

Raleigh/Durham Area

Raleigh/Durham Area - Caregiver left my parents without a replacement for a day and a half during which time my elderly mother fell and suffered a head injury. She is now in rehab, where she has been for over a week. Not to mention, one of their caregivers “persuaded” my dad to loan her $1200 which has never been repaid. Buyer beware! Complete lack of compassion and care.

AVOID Denver Comfort Keepers

This is for the Denver team. I would avoid this at all costs. The care givers are sweet and competent (when they show up) though the office staff is AWFUL!

I can't even begin to address the lies, weirdness, rudeness, negligence (sending unvaxxed people to an elder with lung disease at the height of the pandemic????), and overall inability to send staff reliably.

I get that we are experiencing deep staffing shortages, and we tried to work with this, but the rudeness and unreliability were completely uncalled for.

As a former employee

As a former employee, I must say that this is not the place to you want to work for.
HR manager will spend 4 weeks jerking you around for the onboarding. Onboarding is filling out the application, filling out the background check information, filling out the tax forms and completing orientation and training.
Very poor communication, cannot be bothered to call you back more than twice in one month.
Then HR manager will send an email "letting you go" because you "failed to send proper documentation" in a "timely manner" even though you called them at least three times a week in 4 months, asking what you need to do next and when.
Poor communication, poor management. And then when you call corporate for resolution, HR manager will harass call you and leave angry voicemails.
If this is how they treat employees, how do you think they will treat customers?
DO NOT work here, it is a waste of your time.
