Composer is a scam
Composer is a scam. Here's why. Composer allows you to deposit funds with not issues at all. The funding is smooth and quick. The automated trading fun, usable, and profitable...at least for me. When you go to withdraw your funds, this is where everything breaks down. Your bank account that was used so easily to add funds all of the sudden has issues when withdrawing. Though ALL the criteria for a withdraw was met, I still cannot withdraw. T+1 satisfied, verified account satisfied, settled funds satisfied, ACH Transfer hold for 6 days satisfied, withdrawable cash balance is satisfied -- yet I cannot withdraw my funds with the easy click of a button that allowed me to so easily deposit my funds. For this reason, they should be labeled as a scam and reported. If I were you, I would say away if you value quick liquidity and fast withdraw of funds. If you don't care that a "company" holds your funds hostage for random reasons that don't make any sense, and even after all criteria for withdrawal of funds have been met, then by all means -- gamble.
I’m getting increasingly frustrated…
I’m getting increasingly frustrated with Composer’s Discover / AI usage limits.
Tonight I spent a serious research session building and testing a strategy family. This was not casual clicking around. It took about 10–12 attempts to work through the logic: Top 1 vs Top 2, SPY MA200 defense, removing a ticker, Top 3, shorter lookback, different defensive logic, and finally a fast-defense version that actually looked promising.
That is how strategy research works. Most of the early attempts are supposed to fail. The failed branches are what teach you where the real signal is.
The problem is that by the time I finally found the promising candidate, I hit the Discover / AI limit and could not continue evaluating the symphony until the reset.
That feels completely backwards.
The limit gets consumed during the messy exploration phase, then cuts the user off right when the work becomes valuable: checking the final logic, reviewing holdings, comparing the surviving version, and deciding whether the strategy is actually worth watching or buying.
I understand having limits. What I don’t understand is blocking review of symphonies that were just created because the failed research attempts used up the allowance.
A better system would separate building from reviewing. If I hit a creation limit, fine — stop me from building more. But I should still be able to evaluate, compare, and inspect the results of what I already created.
At minimum, Composer should show a clear remaining-use counter and give serious users a way to finish the current research session.
Right now the limit interrupts the process at the exact moment the research starts to matter. For a platform built around strategy discovery, that is a major workflow problem.
They charge a $30 "clearing fee" on all…
They charge a $30 "clearing fee" on all deposits. I made a deposit of $50 to open an account, now I owe them $25 for some reason? They literally stole my money
Faster and more intuitive than anything else I've used.
I've been using Composer almost daily for my automated trading, and honestly, it's a breeze compared to other platforms I've tried. The interface makes the transition from complex "low-code" setups to a visual, logic-based workflow much smoother.
The most "addicting" part is the speed of the backtesting—being able to build out a strategy and see the results instantaneously makes iterating on my ideas really fun. I’ve also picked up a lot by searching through the Symphonies others have created and staying active in their Discord community; there's a great exchange of knowledge there.
On top of the tech, the customer support is awesome. They usually get back to me very quickly whenever I have a question. If you’re looking for a powerful way to manage automated strategies without the usual headache, I highly recommend giving it a shot.
Made a ton of money investing in solid, reasonable strategies
I’ve been using Composer for about two years now, and overall it’s a really solid product. There honestly isn’t anything else on the market that offers this kind of functionality with this kind of simplistic UI at this price point. This year especially, it feels like they’re prioritizing the right features on the roadmap and continuing to improve the platform in meaningful ways.
Also, shoutout to Mike on the support team — he’s been fantastic. He usually responds within an hour and has consistently resolved any issues I’ve run into.
Best at what it does
Been using Composer for ~2 years now. After doing a (fairly extensive) review of competing platforms (no-code automated investing) I'm still firmly in the "Composer is the best middle ground out of everything that currently exists."
Customer service has been quick to answer any questions I've had and the platform does 90% of what I need it to. It could be better at helping power users with strategy analysis, but frankly more numbers and data would hurt the new user experience due to data overload.
I have been trying to withdraw funds…
I have been trying to withdraw funds for over 2 weeks. No one ever responds and my previous conversations disappear. I will be filing a complaint with FINRA and Alpaca Securities
Collecting SSN to use a software…
Collecting SSN to use a software product when you are not a broker is not legal.
The idea is noble, BUT!!
The concept behind Composer is compelling, but releasing a financial product that is clearly not ready for real users feels irresponsible and borderline deceptive.
I deposited a substantial amount last year and deployed a user-tested Symphony that initially appeared solid. However, immediately after funding the account, the strategy dramatically underperformed—literally the next day it began to drop.
I contacted Composer right away to cancel, but they took two full days to respond and there was no option to stop or unwind the position myself (at least at that time). During those two days, my portfolio lost approximately 30% of its value.
Composer is now refusing to provide their internal records and is denying responsibility. I am actively considering legal action to recover my funds.

It was exiting at first. Only untill , I saw 1 review positive posts. That tells me that system run on empty bots. Trying to get people in.
1 review negative posts is fine as those people got trapped or lived a bad experience and decided to act based on their experience to help others like me to stop.... 🛑
Respect to them.
I opened account today. And closed it without finding.
At this point, I say no .....
I've made good money with Composer
I've made good money with Composer. You can benefit from other user's strategies which was really interesting. I used a strategy with TQQQ that invested and sold based on a 200 EMA. Great for those you want a little more advanced investment opportunity. I will likely move my Roth to them.
WORTHLESS P.O.S
WORTHLESS P.O.S. Not user friendly the tutorials don't tell you how to get your money back out. I deeply regret ever finding this poorly designed website and can't seen to get my money back out DO NOT USE
They require your SSN
They require your SSN. They advertise themselves as being a trading bot website, but seems like they're actually a brokerage. Misleading.

I wouldn't invest in Composer with a 10-foot pole. I tried signing up for what I thought was a free trial with Composer, only to find out that my checking account had been charged $288 for an annual "Membership Fee." When I contacted Composer the same day to inform them about the issue, the representative essentially told me "tough luck." My bank, however, reversed the transaction. Apparently, as retaliation, Composer prohibited me from conducting any trades/business, and without notifying me until I had deposited over $13k. Now it seems that Alpaca, Composer's broker partner, is also blocking me, again without notification or justification. Sound like a broker you want to do business with?
Legit game changer
I've been trading with Composer since its early days, and watching it evolve has been fantastic. The ability to have algorithms trading for me is a huge plus. I usually check on trades and performance every few days, but otherwise it’s hands off.
Great investing tool
I had my doubts, but it's been very useful to me as an investing tool, and the team is quick to respond to questions

It's just totally different from everything else. Much friendlier UX than other trading apps. Let's you automate strategies without being technical.
Best AI-powered trading app!
Composer has completely transformed how I approach trading. As someone without coding skills, I appreciate how easy it is to create and test trading strategies using AI. The platform is intuitive, and the ability to automate trades has saved me so much time. Highly recommend for anyone serious about improving their trading game!
I have subscribed to Composer.trade, it doesn't work as they claimed, I want out.
I have subscribed to Composer.trade, I don't believe that it is what it claims to be automated trading app, all it does is loose your money, I want to withdraw my remaining account balance, they will not grant my withdrawal direct to my bank account, I have given them all proof of my bank account, and all information that i opened the account with, still they are holding on to my little money, I am ashamed and surprised for a company or business to act like a ROGUE.I just want the rest of my money and close the account, they can have the subscription fees.
Up 6% in the month I've been using it
I've been using it for a short while and I couldn't be happier. I'm almost every market the symphonies (trading strategies) I'm using are making money. I will show some loss on really down days. I'm up a lot more here than I am in my other brokerage account that I've been following Motley Fool recommendations for years.
They have recently added "regular" and ROTH IRA's. I'll be converting my IRA over to there as fast as I can.
