Thanks for taking the time to review us — glad the free plan gave you enough to work with, and good to hear the 1 GB didn't feel sluggish.

The player slot count is the main trade-off on the free tier. If your group ever outgrows it, the paid plans lift that limit and add more RAM for a couple of euros a month — open a ticket and we'll point you at the right size.

Thanks for the review, Byron - glad you and your friends are having fun on the servers! On the mods breaking: that's usually down to BeamNG updates. When the game developers push a new version it can break compatibility with some older mods until the mod authors update them, so it's not the server itself playing up. Re-uploading an updated version of the mod normally fixes it, and if you're ever stuck just open a ticket and our team will get it sorted for you.

Hi Chris,

Sorry for the rough start — that isn't how it should run. Taking your three points separately, because they have different causes:

The server not starting again after you shut it down is on us. That's a node-side issue and normally a quick fix once we can look at it.

The wrong map loading is almost always the ServerConfig.toml still pointing at the previous map, so the panel dropdown and the config file disagree. We can correct that for you.

Not appearing in the BeamMP search list is a different thing again: the public server browser is run by BeamMP's own backend, so we don't control indexing or availability within that list. What we can do is confirm your server is online and communicating correctly with BeamMP — if it's healthy on our side, the listing problem sits with BeamMP's master server rather than the hosting node.

Open a ticket on the site or ping us on Discord mentioning this review, and we'll work through all three with you.

Really glad to hear it — stable servers, fast mod uploads and instant connections are exactly what we're going for, so thanks for that.

That's a solid suggestion too. In-server admin tools — like a player list you can select from to teleport or manage people — would make running a BeamNG server much smoother, and it's the kind of quality-of-life feature we'd love to add. Thanks for the kind words, and for flagging this. To clarify: the server itself is online and operating normally. The public server browser/list is handled by BeamMP's backend, so Connect Hosting doesn't control the availability or indexing of servers within that list.

We can verify that your server is running and that it's communicating correctly with BeamMP. If the server is healthy on our side but isn't appearing in the browser, the issue is likely with the BeamMP master-server/listing service rather than the hosting node.

If you provide the approximate time it disappeared, we can check the server logs and confirm whether there was anything abnormal on our side.

Köszönjük, hogy eddig elégedett voltál a szerverrel — és nagyon sajnáljuk, hogy most nem tudod leállítani, így a mapot sem tudod lecserélni vagy modokat feltenni. Az, hogy a ticketen többször is azt a választ kaptad, hogy megoldották, de mégsem változott semmi, egyáltalán nem elfogadható, és elnézést kérünk érte.

Ha megadod a ticket számát (vagy nyitsz egyet a Discordunkon, és hivatkozol erre az értékelésre), személyesen eszkaláljuk a technikai csapatunkhoz, hogy a szerver leállítása és újraindítása végre rendesen működjön. Szeretnénk ezt mielőbb helyrehozni neked.

Hi Cliff,

Thanks for the fair review — and sorry the pink spheres have been spoiling it, because "more times than not" isn't good enough.

That one is BeamMP's mod syncing rather than the server itself, but it's fixable and we should have just fixed it for you. Two things sort it in almost every case: clear your BeamMP client mod cache so it re-downloads clean, and make sure every mod the server uses is uploaded into the server's Resources/Client folder — that's the folder BeamMP pushes to everyone joining, and when a mod is missing from it people load in as spheres.

Happier still to just do it: message us on Discord, mention this review, and we'll go through your Resources/Client folder with you and get it syncing properly. If it's running the way it should afterwards, we'd be glad if you updated your review — and if it isn't, tell us and we'll keep at it.

Hi, I've gone back through this and I can't match it to anything on our system.

We have never sold a "Startup Package" — not at $7, not at any price. It isn't a product we've ever offered, so there's nothing I can find that was bought or left uninstalled. Our records also don't show anyone being removed from our Discord for making a complaint.

If you did buy something from us I genuinely want to sort it. Send us the order reference or the email address the account was under, either on Discord or at connecthosting.net/support, and I'll look at it the same day and refund anything that shouldn't have been charged.

Hi Daniel, I'm sorry you had to chase this so many times — you should've been able to cancel in a couple of clicks, and we'd have cancelled it and refunded those charges for you.
