Got a weird email from this company today about advertising in "Women's Health", what's strange I'm not even the business owner just the site's developer! I strongly suspect this business is getting email addresses that have been harvested by automated bots seeking any and all email addresses on a site because my email address isn't directly visible unless clicked on or the website code is checked.

But even if it was an actual human who supposedly clicked, they would've seen I am not the business owner and more importantly my client's business is totally unsuited to this advertising they're flogging in this shotgun approach. It seems I am not alone as I also did not consent to being contacted unsuitable and unrelated to me, as a result I have warned the actual business owner about this 'opportunity'. I have emailed back to request my email address removed, if it continues I will be contacting the ICO to complain.
