Both uplift and delivery went without a problem. The guys both in Townsville and Toowoomba were friendly and professional. Thank you to all the guys for making my move go so smoothly.

I have used conroys twice now BNE - AKL and AKL - BNE my experience was wonderful. Communication was great their Staff handled my property with care and were lovely . I was also kept up to date with the shipment process . I will definetly be using them again if i need to ship my household items .overall experience was amazing. I highly recommend :)

Following a long process (caused by us) we were finally able to accept a quotation for our move from Batemans Bay in NSW to Invercargill in NZ.

The whole process flowed through from the initial contact, the pick-up including the final wrapping and packing.

We were then kept updated on departure and arrival in NZ followed by customs and quarantine. Then the expected and final delvery.

All of the Conroy team were very friendly and professional in
their contact with us.

The only team members we met were the guys at pick-up and delivery. All very professional, quick and friendly.

We would not hesitate to recommend Conroys to anyone contemplating an overseas move.

Conroys came in cheapest of the proper quotes (not the cowboy,by-the-hour quotes that most removalists try to con you with), and they seemed very efficient in the planning stages.
As both my wife & I are in our eighties, we wanted it all - pack, removal & unpack. Unfortunately, there was some misunderstanding, and the quote I was given didn't include unpack, which led to some pretty nasty language from me on the phone with the office (which I'm not proud of, but it was a pretty stressful time for us, as you can imagine, at our ages).
We eventually sorted it out with an extra $440 for 4 men for 2 hours to unpack (which proved insufficient).
Howard, our packer, was amazing. 3 hours to do our full house! And we had no breakages of the stuff he packed. Both he and the removalists the next morning were on time and got straight into it.
The removal went well. We only had a few small breakages, and the boys were very quick with their workload.
The unpack was a waste of money, as they just piled items up on counters, shelves, etc, and it took the help of our daughter & son-in-law the next day to make sense of everything. My poor little 81-year-old wife nearly killed herself trying to make sense of our new house - something I was trying to avoid by misunderstanding that we were going to get unpacked.
On the whole, I am quite happy with Conroys & the move ... despite two broken backs for my wife & I ... and I would use them again (though, this time, with absolutely clear instructions on what I wanted and what I was going to get!)

I moved from Aussie to Marlborough. The Australian side of things was perfect. A great pre-packing team, packer and uplift team, so 5 stars....then I arrived in NZ and the service fell apart!

Once the container was ready to be delivered, I advised a manager at Conroy's Nelson about road closures, but the drivers were sent too late so sat at a roadblock for 90mins and when the 2 guys arrived, they were not happy and kept saying they had an hour to unload. I told them the road was re-opening so they were OK. That fell on deaf ears.

The driver raced up the driveway before even having a look at how he'd navigate a turn halfway up. His "spotter" stood there and did and said nothing as the truck hit garden edging.

He said he was going to reverse up, I said no way, you'll spin your wheels. He ignored me and gunned it in reverse, sliding into the draining ditch and putting ruts in the gravel and breaking 2 taillights. He turned around and drove up, parked it from the house and said they'd carry it.

I just wanted it all in the garage of living room, and with all boxes labelled either tools or other like kitchen/art etc.

As the driver passed me with a box that was framed prints, I said "all those can go in the house" I got nothing, and he put it in the garage! After the 3rd time telling him, I gave up.
The other lad put 2 mattresses in the living room when I clearly said in the bedroom obviously.

The driver tried to lift a very heavy and full 5 drawer toolchest, prob 60kg, to which I said that defo needs a dolly....he ignored me and dropped it, then got the dolly! Not a word of sorry.

I was helping them during my lunch break as at this point, I wanted these 2 off my property. Once done, the lad handed me forms to sign and without a word, got in the truck and drove off.

I unpacked the toolbox and it was dented at both ends, making the drop down ledges unusable.

I emailed a manager about this on the same day. I got no reply so called the head office to lodge a complaint. Someone called me back. He was very apologetic, and said it pained him to hear that at the very last step, things had gone wrong as they work so hard in a very competitive market to win business. I thought it was a very fair and honest conversation, but it ended up just being hot air and empty words.

On the 24th Nov, he sent the below, wiping his hands and asking me to make my own insurance claim as they had met their obligations under their conditions of carriage.

Dear Adam
We would like to acknowledge that you have the need to make a claim for loss/damage sustained to your goods. Please let us take this opportunity to offer our sincere apologies for this and any resulting inconvenience.
On checking our records, we note that you instructed us not to arrange insurance cover on your behalf. Your removal was carried out as per our Conditions of Contract for Removal and Storage under which we are not liable for any loss or damage.
If you arranged insurance cover with another insurer, we recommend you contact them immediately to lodge a claim.

I replied with the below on the same day. No reply has been sent and it's considered a close case.

I haven’t asked for a formal claim to be made formally, but complained about the overall service on the delivery day, that clouded an otherwise good experience.
Seeing as the damage was due to total negligence, surely this is covered directly by Conroys. The fact the staff member thought he could carry an 60-80kg metal toolbox on his shoulder up a steep driveway is beyond belief. I am convinced he was on drugs and he just didn’t listen to anything I was saying and was all fidgeting and over energetic.

At the end of the day, Conroy's took zero accountability for the actions of a clearly untrained, or perhaps uncaring staff member and I'm left to deal with my own repairs and claims.

I'd strongly not recommend Conroy's Nelson team to anyone, and probably not Conroy's NZ as management showed they just don't care and are all talk.

Great communication and helpful from the first contact, Liz explained everything well and let us know when something needed doing.
Delivery was easily planned and my goods were delivered on time and at the correct address.
i can certainly recommend Conroy to anyone looking for a great Removalist firm

I went from a house northern NSW to a storage room in Sydney. The pickup guys (2) were friendly and very helpful. Five stars there. The Sydney guys (3) were also fantastic. I did get a broken base on a pedestal fan but not too concerned about that. Five stars for them as well.

Conroy removals was absolutely amazing. My contact details were incorrect but Liz still managed to contact me and arrange delivery as well as helping me fill out all the forms. The delivery arrived on time and everything was very well taken care of. So grateful and appreciative, cannot recommend enough!

On time arrival, efficient and pleasant to work with. Very considerate of my property, handling goods with care.

Very happy with the prompt collection of our table. Unfortunately the delivery timeframe was extremely short notice (less than 24 hours), and the recipient was not in town.
We had to arrange someone else to be at the delivery site otherwise we were going to be charged storage fees.
Whilst we understand storage costs, some more notice would have been good, or even an estimated date.
Also, it was collected as a single table, and at some point had been dismantled, but was not delivered as a single table. The recipient of the table was not personally able to put it together by themselves, so had to arrange someone to assist.

We recently had two moves with your company one delivery last week and one delivery this week. Our international move was booked through Anglo Pacific in the UK. The 2nd move we booked with you interstate from Qld to NSW. We had fantastic communication from your office in Qld and also in Sydney in NSW. The trucks were both here on time and provided great service. The driver and offsider were really friendly, attentive, and hardworking and really careful with our furniture. It was the most cautious we have seen in a moving company. We live in a new apartment and they were very careful in the lift and the hallway with our larger items. So appreciated. We move quite often and it really was one of our best. Thanks Conroy removals

We had a great experience moving about 39 cubic metres of household items from Auckland to Melbourne. From quotation process to delivery, we encountered friendly and professional staff, except when the initial packing team leader, who was neither friendly nor professional. This was quickly sorted by the management. The next day a team of 6 very professional packers with the sales manager came and did the job very well. Hiccups happen, and not all people are same, but the actions by the other staff and management took away the negative experience. We received our items within the agreed timeframe in good condition. I would use Conroys again and would recommend to others making the big move.
