I have only been enrolled in my DMP for 2 months…
I have only been enrolled in my DMP for about 2 months, so it is hard for me to give a solid review on how the process is going. But I can tell you my experience so far.
The enrollment process was simple, and the gentleman who enrolled me was very knowledgeable, and informative on all the details on how everything works.
somewhere between 4 and 5 weeks after enrollment, I have received letters from all creditors, informing me that they have excepted the terms. I just had my second payment taken from my account.
Up to now everything has been smooth running. I would also like to point out that your fee for each account is only 7 dollars a month, so the majority of your payments are going to your creditors.
Basically you are paying off all of your debt, at lower interest rates. The savings are huge, and your credit will not get destroyed. my program is for 53 months and 26,000 in credit card debt.
According to them, at 403.00 per month I will pay 21,344 over 53 months, saving me thousands of dollars in interest payments, and becoming debt free in 4 1/2 years, as opposed to over 20 years.
The best part, you don't completely destroy your credit. All of the debt relief companies I reviewed all charge 25 percent fee for each account. for me that would be around 8000 in fees.
I have spent a couple of hours reading reviews from all the debt relief companies, and they all have horror stories from clients, grant it, they all have a majority of 5 star reviews, but they also, all have the same poor reviews. American consumer credit is a non profit!
