CFI’s cancellation process feels intentionally misleading. I cancelled my auto-renewal, yet was still billed nearly $400. When I logged back in to cancel a second time, I received a confirmation email stating my account was set to renew again next year—meaning the system either ignored my original cancellation or flipped it back to active. CFI does not issue refunds, even though I immediately deleted my account the day it auto-renewed. Now I’ve been charged $400 for a full year of access (Aug 2026–Aug 2027) that I can't even use because the account is completely deleted. It feels like a deceptive trap designed to profit off mandatory auto-renewals and a glitchy interface.

I loved the fact that it’s practical and broke everything down in small parts that were much easier to grasp.
I am a much better excel and PowerPoint user thanks to the course.I would’ve loved a revision section or videos just before the exam to further prepare.Overall it’s an amazing course.

Hello everyone,
My name is Phong, from Hanoi, Vietnam. Over a year ago, I researched CFI after wanting to fully update my knowledge of Corporate Finance. I considered many training programs and consulted numerous reviews on social media, finally deciding to pursue both the CMA (U.S.) and FPAP simultaneously.

I noticed that there were many comparisons and evaluations of the certifications based on prestige, brand recognition, scope of knowledge, and many other criteria. Personally, I chose the CMA to systematize my foundational knowledge of Management Accounting, and the FPAP to understand how to apply theoretical knowledge to practice, using financial models from the perspective of financial experts.

Studying both programs simultaneously has been incredibly beneficial for me. I compiled a list of courses in the CFI FPAP program and linked them to specific subjects in the CMA program. Clearly, I've noticed a relatively strong connection between the two training programs.

In particular, through the perspectives and practical exercises in Excel Financial Modeling, I understood how to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world work situations; I understood how to utilize and maximize Excel (a tool I previously underestimated, honestly ^^).

I am very impressed and grateful to many of the teachers at CFI, especially Mr. Duncan McKeen, CFA, FMVA®, whom I often tell my wife: "He is my teacher." I was amazed by how quickly and efficiently Mr. Duncan demonstrated his Excel skills using the keyboard. At the same time, the slow pace of the language and the use of very simple English vocabulary were suitable for students like us whose first language is not English. Although I occasionally switched to Vietnamese subtitles, I could understand about 90% of the content the teacher conveyed in English.

In addition, the way the lecture content and practical exercises were designed in a consistent manner demonstrated that the CFI team had a very good grasp of Learning Design. As someone working in this field, I was truly impressed.

This morning, I woke up at 4:30 AM and started the final exam of the FPAP program. After about 2 hours and 30 minutes, I completed the exam and officially received my FPAP certificate.

I am truly grateful and appreciate the lectures from the teachers at CFI. I hope to continue learning and gaining practical knowledge and experience from future programs.

The FMVA course provides a well-structured curriculum with practical, real-world financial modeling exercises. The instructors explain concepts clearly, and the hands-on case studies helped me improve my Excel, financial analysis, and valuation skills. The courses were more than enough and on spot. The instructors were highly educated and very caring about delivering the information and explain the material in the best way it be explained.

The course is really structured in a way it keeps grabbing your attention making you want more, even the way the learning is so detailed that even if you didnt understand some of the terms or subject you would get it at the end of the chapter, I really enjoyed learning about financial modelling and valuations and have been applying what I am learning to my work.

I really enjoyed my experience with CFI. The content was practical and closely related to my day-to-day work in finance. Completing the FPAP program was a valuable addition to my professional development, especially in FP&A, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial modeling. CFI FMVA is the best course I’ve ever taken, the experience provided a deeper understanding of how finance professionals evaluate businesses and make informed decisions. But, I think if you give us more information about how you take the information(outputs). If you do the model from scratch by taking the companies information that could be helpful for beginners.

Extremely disappointing service. Took an annual membership out of my account and refuse to refund it despite me contacting them within an hour of the transaction and despite the fact I’ve never used any of their services over my last year of membership. I advised that I really cannot afford this payment now and they had no empathy whatsoever. Just responded with the T&Cs. What kind of organisation takes people’s money for a service they aren’t engaging with and refuses to refund and cancel the account? Not cool.
