Excellent place to get timber, especially Douglas Fir. Much better wood than the crap imported by B&Q etc. and a better price. Trees are grown, felled and sawn on the site, 100% Dorset Wood.

Dom was absolutely full of knowledge and willing to help and advise.
Genuinely lovely so helpful, extremely knowledgeable and skilled.
I made a 585 mile round-trip to pick up all the freshly saw Douglas fur waney boards that Dom milled for me, and I loved every minute,what an experience.
He welcomed me onto his family run sawmill and Timber yard and gave me a full tour of the forest.
This Timber is stunning. I am in love. I will certainly be coming back.

We needed a new garden shed and saw Conygar at the 2025 Oak Fair and liked their stand, the timber and their knowledge of timber. Dominic visit us to discuss what we wanted in more detail and quickly came up with drawings and a quote. We visited the yard and saw more examples of their craftmanship and placed the order. Few months wait, but Dominic kept us informed and in February he and his crew came to build it. No flimsy pre fabricated panels, everything was constructed on site from heavy Douglas Fir and was built to last. It looks great and smells great and most importantly, after two storms, is wind and water tight, unlike our old shed. Conygar are a great local firm using locally sourced timber.

A very friendly team who were prepared to give suggestions and not sell you the most expensive but offering the right value for money for my requirements! Tho they did have a vehicle issue on the original day they kept me informed and delivered on another day to suit me! I will have the poshest raised beds on the allotments but it didn’t break the bank!

Excellent wood yard and friendly helpful service

I am making a bower in our garden and Conygar has been supplying the wood for that. Not only have they been doing that but they have also helped me immeasurably with the design, free and gratis. I have made one or two mistakes on ordering the wood and again Conygar have been very helpful in swapping wood over. All in all, a great service.
