Received an email about some concerns, called the line and Matthew was very helpful to clear up all concerns and easy to talk to.

I spoke to Shehzad today who was an absolute star and sorted out … which was a major problem for me, in no time at all he made me feel totally at ease and confirmed my cancellation of the company acting my behalf with no fees, he has really made my day and I would recommend him anytime to sort anyone’s problems big or small. Well done Shehzad an amazing and really friendly young man. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have just received a call from some plummy voiced fellow from Cormacs - seems the many cases on here referring to people not signing up to have them represent them has happened to me. I have been telling them I cannot recall instructing them, but they send bogus documents claiming you have signed up. Weirdly, I am not sure how they managed this as I have certainly never received anything physically from them - just a barrage of emails saying someone else is deciding the outcome whilst these vultures collect names to cream off any bunce that results. These are the lowest form of ambulance chasers increasing the cost of living for everyone by hounding legitimate companies to line their own pockets.

UPDATE:

Following my comments on Trustpilot, and having requested Courmacs Legal to cease my case, I have today received a communication from Courmacs.

Interestingly, after telling me that I have racked up £350+ in 'fees' for 'work done' (although they have failed to explain exactly what they have done) I received the first communication that isn't telling me nothing is happening whilst others argue the points.

I seem to have provoke them into actually doing something, presumably to try and support their claims for money. However, it seems to be a fairly mundane bit of admin, done by some office junior. Here it is:

For Case ********** (Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Limited) in status "DSAR Rqst Emailed":

We are writing to let you know that we have now submitted a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) to your finance provider. This request asks the lender to provide all relevant information
they hold in relation to your agreement, including any documentation and details that may be required to progress your complaint.

And this after I have requested they close the case as I think I have been phished!!

Even more of the scam exposed - VW have told Courmacs to Go Figure as their 'Authorisation' has lapsed!! Couldn't even scam efficiently apparently as having racked up £350 in charges for work done it seems their first actual action has backfired. Here's their email from today and my reply.

Well, this rather goes to show that despite trying to tell me I have accrued over £300 in charges for ‘work done’ it turns out you have done nothing.

Therefore I will be paying you the same - nothing - and will not be providing you with any authority.

Whatever your scam was, your lack of action seems to have shot you in the foot.

Please close your (somewhat empty) file and do not hassle me further.

This communication will be added to Trustpilot, along with a mention that you have not replied to my request for a detailed explanation of the work you claim to have done for which you were trying to charge me hundreds of pounds.

Hopefully others caught by you internet - see how much you are owed scam - will take note and bin you accordingly.

I called Coumacs and spoke to Mohammed as I had received a scam call from someone claiming to be the company dealing with my claim. He explained that I had done the correct thing and ending the call and contacted Courmacs where Mohammed was able to put my mind at rest regarding the call situation

I have just spoken to Mohammed Sirtaj at Courmacs legal regarding multi representation for motor finance claims and he was very kind and helpful concerning my concerns.
I was very impressed and grateful for his professional advice.
