Even though I had booked a different hotel, he kindly accommodated me and even provided transportation to and from the other hotel with a warm attitude. His explanation of the tour was very detailed and easy to understand, and I was already full of gratitude even before the tour began. Thank you so much.
Even after the tour ended, he continued to check if everything was okay and offered support, and I truly appreciate his kindness.
Needless to say, the safari was absolutely amazing. We were able to see all of the Big Five perfectly. It was a wonderful experience that made me feel grateful to be born in such a beautiful world where animals and humans coexist.
The food was delicious, and the guide was very professional and made the experience so enjoyable for us.

Safaris and explorer tours in Craters An extremely unpleasant trip. After taking $2300 from me, they move to a better position. Terrible behavior and service are displayed when they behave rashly and fail to respond. I implore you all not to associate with them. A one-star rating is not appropriate for them. The cuisine was awful, and I didn't go. Overall, the Crater Explorer Safaris and Tours None of you should make reservations with the terrible Arusha, Tanzania organization.

Crater explorer is a locally owned professional tour and safari company. They have an excellent team that would make your safari experience superp.
Emanual who made the arrangement covered all aspects of the safari clearly and in detail. John,our guide, was very experienced and had the right temperament and patience of a great guide. Emanual, our cook, made five star meals every day. This team made our experience pleasant, memorable and. Educational.

I can’t recommend crater explorers highly enough, if you are searching for the best place to book your safari trip on a budget look no further.

Emmanuel was kind, helpful and answered all of my queries promptly. The trip was well organised, with everything taken care of for you so you don’t have to stress and can just fully enjoy the experience. We saw 4 of the big 5, including some intense encounters with elephants and lions, whilst always feeling safe. You can’t believe how many wild animals you see in the Serengeti and Ngorogoro is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been

The campsites were ideal with the tents pre erected with good facilities. The food was plentiful tasty and clean thanks to chef Titus. Our guide Lewis was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying it.

I think the pricing is with crater is very competitive, I was worried that it might be cheaper to book in Tanzania itself but I checked with a few local places once I landed and was only quoted much higher prices than paid with Emmanuel. Also from asking around whilst on safari it seems crater explores do the best deal

Emanuel from Crater Explorer Tours and Safaris worked with my schedule and ensured everything went smoothly. From airport pickup and drop off to amazing game drives through 4 parks. Our driver guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We saw tons of animals! The lodges and daily meals, including a picnic lunch each day, were outstanding. I was in good hands. Hakuna matata! No worries!

They provided us wonderful safari experience. We had 2.5 days safari tour with hotel-stays before and after. We were satiated by their hospitality. They keep time. And the driver tried to find various animals. We saw Big Five except rhino. That was amazing for us. Also, the chef served us very well. The amount of foods was suitable, and the taste was nice. He also served punctually.
Their tour is very nice. I will recommend this tour company to my friends.

Organising the tour through Crater was super easy. Emanuel was very communicative and easy to deal with before we arrived.

They arranged pick up from the airport and a hotel on either side of the tour, which took all the hassle out of travel.

We did the 3 day tour which included Ngorongoro crater, manyara lake and tarangire national park. What an experience. Our driver knew where to go to get the best views of the animals, plus we had a bit of luck on our side.

The hotel we stayed at during the tour was amazing, really luxurious. A special treat overlooking the lake.

My kids and I had the best experience, once in a lifetime. Crater were brilliant value for money, starting out as an organisation and tried hard to ensure we enjoyed every minute. Relaxed and easy going too, which was a bonus.

Unforgettable experience
We visited 4 national parks in 4 days and it was indescribable. Both the organizer Manuel and our driver Charles were well organized and knew everything very well. We saw a lot of animals and great nature and spend the night in very nice accommodations. Simply highly recommended

From the start to the end our expirience was good. Everything that they promised they fulfilled. Staff was reliable and kind. Our driver Emanuel was amazing. He was always in a good mood and with a lot of knowlage about animals and national parks. He answered all of our questions, was very interesting to listen to and he stopped whenever we wanted to take pictures. Cook was amazing as well. He made tasty meals that were always different.

We went on a four day four Park safari with crater explorers after being recommended by friends who had gone on their honeymoon.
Communication with emanuel was second to none, he would reply at any time of day.. I'm not sure if he sleeps! He managed to sort out some belongings we had left at one lodge and bring it to our next stop to prevent a detour and time away from safari.
Our tour guide Charles was terrific. With over two decades of experience we could tell he knew his stuff as soon as we met him. With the right balance of being informative without being scripted or overbearing, as well as driving around a good and safe pace with our three year old. If I went again I would definitely want charles to take be my guide. His English was also superb and my son loved him.
However, the stay in the serengeti was a let down with our 'upgrade' from the tented Lodge was really not upto par and if I went again I would definitely want to choose better accommodation even if the cost was slightly more.
However, as as the other stays were above expectation I felt the tour was excellent value for money overall.

We hebben een safari geboekt bij Crater explorer van 16 t/m 20 maart 2024. Onze gids/chauffeur David deed alles binnen zijn mogelijkheden om het ons naar de zin te maken….. en dat is gelukt! Hij heeft ons alles (the big 5), en meer laten zien! Hij heeft heel veel kennis over alle dieren en geeft je ruim de tijd om dat alles te fotograferen. De contacten tussen ons en Crator Explorer verliep soepel, met een duidelijke briefing en de-briefing van Emanuel. We hebben een geweldige week gehad, Crator Explorer, bedankt!! En dikke 10 verdiend.

We were able to spend four incredibly exciting days in the wilderness of Tanzania. Even today, a few days later back on European soil, we can hardly believe the amazing impressions. The unreal beauty of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater moved us to tears. We would never have thought that we would get so close to so many different wild animals. A lion even peed on our jeep. But thanks to our clever and funny guide Frank, we never felt unsafe. Frank is a safe driver who always had the right instinct with his impressive knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for nature. Our cook Emanuel was also a treasure. He cooks incredibly tasty and conscientiously, even vegan meals were no problem for him. They both deserve the greatest possible support!
Of course, if you book the budget tour, you shouldn't expect luxury accommodation; it was much better: camping among hyenas and wild buffalo - where else can you experience something like this? The safari was also an impressive experience for my 5-year-old son. Frank and Emanuel did a great job looking after him.

The only thing we would do differently next time is the hotel in Arusha: it is noisy, dirty and moldy in all the rooms. We would also have liked more flexibility with payment, e.g. by credit card or bank transfer.

Nevertheless, we absolutely recommend Crater Explorer because of the well-planned tour, the lovely people Frank and Emanuel and the unbeatable value for money!

Had a fantastic safari with our family. The driver/guide Charles is the most experienced guide you should have, together with the chef Emanuel who always surprises you with the delicious food. nothing is too much for them and we have seen the most special animals up close. So we can only say if you go on safari you should go to Crater Explorers.

Reliable team, everything was well organised and explained for us. The food was tasty and the safari car very comfortable. Overall we had a great first safari experience!
