I can't say enough about the unexpected support and encouragement from the Crowdfundr Platform and Staff. First the platform is super easy to use and allows me to add a lot of information about myself, the project, updates, and it is all broken down into easy to navigate tabs that holds readers attention. It offers a seamless and easy way to add perks or donation options that allow people to choose denominations or items for purchase. I have added over 100 photos of my project and love that my whole piece is showcased in one well organized place!
As for the continuous support the team offers to help showcase and promote the artist with links widespread and opportunities to be featured in areas well beyond my reach has been the coolest part! I have said YES to everything they have offered in terms of promotion and it has been surprisingly helpful. Thank you Deena Sa for being my angel I didn't know I needed!

Shannon asked me for some information about my problem, I then provided. Before the day was over my problem was solved with just one simple email exchange. This is the best customer service I have ever gotten on any website!

I ran a campaign that doubled its small goal pretty easily. I got all the help I needed setting up the campaign and most of the features were intuitive enough I didn’t need to ask for help at all. However, I did run into some difficulties when I first launched. Firstly, I had my campaign set on invisible since it was a few weeks between when I created it and when I was able to edit it and launch. I forgot to set it back to visible so when I launched a bunch of people clicked on a link that didn’t work. Fortunately a few people wrote me about it. Similarly, I had only set up a PayPal option for payment. I thought it just meant the money would go through PayPal whether the used a cr dot card or PayPal, so between those two slip-ups I think I might’ve lost a couple customers. However, the customer service lady I worked with helped me iron out those issues in a very short timeframe and was also there to hold my hand through other issues. Overall I’m very satisfied and will be using the service again.

If I had unknowingly violated a rule, I would have appreciated the opportunity to rectify it before my campaign went live which I had planned to do in a few days. The lack of communication is concerning, and in hindsight, I wish I had heeded the warnings in previous reviews.
Very Fishy to me!
Rip off with tips between 10% minimum and 30% of the amount pledged demanded. The charities should get the money…tips should be discretionary and NOT MANDATORY. I normally tip…but in this case there was no choice.

The platform itself was incredibly intuitive, but I was a little disappointed. I joined under the Tabletop Nonstop program, and was expecting a bit more from Crowdfundr's end of things based on the description to help provide greater publicity and promotion of the products. I think overall I got one promo tweet, and my project was only successful because someone with a large following expressed interest on Discord, independent of any assistance I received.
In fairness, I didn't avail myself of the creator forums for resources or anything like that. Overall my experience was a mixed bag -- I'm sure I could have done more to improve the process on my end, and I certainly don't hold Crowdfundr responsible for that. For my next crowdfunded project, I'm going to have to look really hard at everything I've done so far, and really dig into the resources that Crowdfundr has available to see what my best move is going to be.

I picked Crowdfundr over other money raising platforms because of the lower fees, and my experience with them was overall great. The site was easy enough to use and populate with rewards, and I def appreciate the "fee coverage" option as that helped a lot with the cost side of things. Crowdfundr was also super quick to respond/approve our campaign and provide positive and quick feedback! Would highly recommend :-)

Crowdfundr is amazing! They give people a platform to put what they make into the world, raise money for it (including a "keep it all" format where you get to keep everything even if you don't hit your goal, which is what we did), and the people there are such sweethearts. We've raised far more than we ever could've hoped for, especially since we're two small creators!

We've attempted campaigns on other platforms in the past with little to no success. But this time, between the Tabletop Nonstop Spotlight and the very easy to use website, things were very different. Making a gorgeous campaign page was simple and straightforward. We felt supported by the community. And the fee options were a nice touch. All in all, this was a fantastic crowdfunding experience.

The community is definitely what makes it. If you're a creator, I cannot recommend joining the Discord server enough. The people there are all very friendly, and the people with CF are great at answering questions in a way that never feels condescending. They also have videos that can help with different aspects like what to do when you first launch and are playing the waiting game, and their reps are great with sharing them.
I also love that there are different ways to classify rewards. There's Products (getting an actual thing whether it's digital or physical), Perks (like getting to design a thing or getting your name mentioned as a backer), and Wishes (help us get to this convention or help us afford this computer to design more fun things). Wishes are a unique option to other crowd funders I've seen: you don't get anything out of it except a great feeling that you've helped the creator or company in a specific way. It doesn't sound like it should make much of a difference, but it's pretty awesome all around.
I feel like the user interface could be a bit better. While entering the actual information for the crowd funder is made fairly easy, it can be difficult to take care of fulfillment when you have multiple tiers. There's no way to group emails by the tier they back, nor to message them by tier. I don't know if this is common to most crowd funders since CF is the first time I've been on the creator-side of things, but it would be amazing to see this worked on.
All-in-all working with CF and the wonderful people behind it has been a great experience. They managed to take something that always intimidated the heck out of me and make it feel way more manageable. I'll definitely be using them again.

I like the Discord, that I can connect easily with staff and other crowdfunders.
I like that I can send updates to people following the campaign who haven't pledged, even afterward.
The page builder is better than Kickstarter's, but the backend is challenging to navigate.
I have mixed feelings about being able to take people's money before the campaign ends. Sounds good, but I personally want to make sure people feel good about it and don't have buyer's remorse.
I won't be using Crowdfundr again due to the following unless they get fixed:
1. I don't get emails when someone sends me a message through the platform. Especially post-campaign when I'm not checking back, I've missed messages about people not getting their stuff. I can't have that.
2. Kickstarter and, to a lesser degree, Backerkit do a much better job of bringing people to you that aren't already part of your audience.
3. I had people pledge twice because they forgot that they already did. When they go to a campaign that they've already pledged to, it should let them know that. I have a lot of fans with traumatic brain injury and other mental/memory disabilities, and this is a major accessibility issue.

Some of the best customer service I've ever received from a crowdfunding platform. During ZineMonth 2023, they even customized features on the fly for designers when chatting on the Discord server. In an industry that can at times feel so predatory, the folks at Crowdfundr made me feel safe, supported, and seen.

Easy to use platform, especially for someone not very tech savvy. It is intuitive and fun. The Crowdfundr staff is super helpful, quick to answer, responsive to questions, and very kind.

The company cancelled our campaign without warning after a far left blog bombarded them with defaming comments about me and my work. When confronted, the president said that his crowdfunding platform wasn't for people like me or my friends, despite us never being untruthful, breaking any law, or even breaking the Crowdfundr ToS (which was conveniently changed after they cancelled our campaign).
easy to setup! lots of options, great overall support both with online guides and real human support! I greatly appreciated my experiences and will do it again when i find out the best angle I got lots of projects in my life and lots of ideas.. still need to find the best way to use your product and keep doing what i do the way i do
