Brilliant! Engaging.

This has been one of the best training courses I've done. Definitely thought provoking, and I feel more capable following completion of the course. I've unquestionably learned some useful concepts, and taken action based on some of the content. You can't ask for much more. There were challenges keeping some of the content up-to-date, which the team responded to.

I’ve recently completed the Digital MBA with CTO Academy, and I can honestly say it’s been a really valuable experience.

It took me a few years to work my way through the programme alongside work and life commitments, so reaching the finish line feels like a real achievement. One of the things I appreciated most was how flexible the course was, which made it possible to fit learning around a busy schedule.

The content itself was excellent, but what stood out most was that I learned not just from the material, but also about myself — particularly in terms of leadership, personal growth, and how I think about my own leadership style.

The lecturers were fantastic throughout. There are too many to mention, but a few standouts for me were Julian, Lucy-Rose, Joff, Hariharan Gopalan, and Joseph Trodden.

A big thank you as well to CTO Academy and its founders, Andrew and Jason, for putting together such a thoughtful and well-structured programme.

I did a lot of research before I jumped into a CTO/CIO course. CTO Academy came highly recommended and after completing the course, I can say WOW! what a fantastic course!!! I gladly add my voice to all the high recommendations! It is focused enough to give you practical, actionable insights and yet broad enough in topics to give you a blueprint to create a holistic, well-rounded leader.

Even in areas that weren't super applicable to my specific career path, the lectures were interesting, well done and informative. The additional materials for each lecture were absolutely over-the-top. I saved nearly 4GB of PDFs in addition to my own notes just from the additional materials in this course. So thorough!

Each lecture was unique and the personalities were overall very engaging. I have already used elements of this course in my current career and find it will be immeasurably valuable in my future career. Even if I pursued a completely different, non-technical career, this course brought so much value that I can take principles, practices and processes from CTO Academy and apply them across nearly any other discipline.

I cannot say enough good things about this course, its lectures and the content provided. They update it so regularly that in the eight months or so I took to finish it, they had already added three new lectures. So grateful they keep up with such a dynamic industry.

I've recently completed the Digital MBA for Technology Leaders course by CTO Academy. The course is filled with practical, timely curation of the essentials every tech leader must consider on their leadership journey.
I joined for my known gaps and discovered new gaps with actionable means to address them. It is a living course with ongoing updates based on student feedback so looking forward to the topics I wish were covered in current state.

I recently completed the Future Leadership course at CTO Academy and found it to be a very good investment in my professional development. It provides great leverage for your leadership knowledge with a very practical approach. The lessons are short, well-explained, and easy to digest. I joined the CTO Academy Digital MBA because I was looking for a program that combined business knowledge with technology — something that could help me grow into a true technology leader.

CTO Academy’s MBA was genuinely enriching and practical. The online peer-to-peer sessions and community meetups added real value, and the program helped me build on my strengths while addressing key gaps—especially self-leadership. Most importantly, it reinforced how critical business understanding is for aligning technology with business objectives and delivering better outcomes for customers. I also met a strong community of like-minded leaders. Highly recommended.

Staying engaged in an online learning environment while balancing work and life was a real challenge, but the flexibility of this program made it possible, something I simply couldn’t have managed with a traditional in-person course.

What really stood out was the breadth of topics, especially those beyond the usual technology operations. Diving into areas like leadership strategy, finance, and organisational design gave me fresh perspectives that I’m excited to apply in my role.

CTO Academy provides a broad range of excellent material as well as a great community.
The lecture series is comprehensive and follows a logical path. The self-paced rhythm of weekly material releases for 4 weeks followed by a catch-up week worked well for me. I joined to grow my knowledge of the commercial, financial, legal and security demands of a CTO role more than the self-development and modern leadership. I suspect many course participants join for opposing reasons; suffice to say the course is well-balanced across all the leadership demands of a modern CTO.
Note I'm based in Australasia - the community isn't as strong here, and there are less events focused on my timezones, nonetheless there was certainly enough of a community feel for me to benefit - Andrew Weaver has put a lot of effort into making this work, and it's much appreciated!
I will certainly be going back to material repeatedly in the future.

The lectures! They were from the people out there in the real time and as we call it - the trenches! Extremely engaging and enlightening to listen to each individual with such diverse backgrounds! My only regret is that my procrastination syndrome got the better of me at times, but thanks to the continued support from the Course Admins, I managed to hang on and finish it!

The lecturers come from a diverse range of industry, and include founders, CTOs, CIOs, Lawyers, consultants, and more. The focus is real world breadth over depth, and the breadth focus helps to really define the many and varied facets of being a CTO, and this is why it is definitely more professional development that deep academia. Andrew and the other staff are always very helpful and friendly too.
