Cylingo is a nonprofit digital platform dedicated to preserving and promoting the Cypriot dialects—primarily Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot. It was founded out of frustration when its creators, Doruk Ekingen and Uğurcan Karşılı, realized how little documentation existed for the words their grandparents used. Cypriot dialects were often dismissed as "wrong" or "broken," and Cylingo aims to change that perception by giving them a proper digital home. At its core, Cylingo.org offers a user-friendly dictionary with translations between Cypriot, Turkish, Greek, and English. It includes features such as a “Word of the Day,” cultural notes, idioms, and games to make learning more engaging. The platform also shares mini videos, folk sayings, and insights into Cyprus's rich linguistic heritage. All content is built and maintained by volunteers, and the project is sustained through personal funding and public donations. Cylingo stands as a bridge between cultures, promoting mutual understanding while safeguarding local identity. It has already been recognized as a reference source by websites like Lexilogos. With ongoing efforts to grow its wordbase, improve SEO, and expand into new projects, Cylingo continues to evolve as a modern archive for an ancient island’s living languages.

I can't tell you all how great it feels that there are people out there that give their time, energy and the best effort to make sure that our language stays relevant and is actively being archived. I'm done with brainwashed people being blind and so unaware of the importance of such project. Our very existence is activrly being thretaned. We should all be giving our EVERYTHING to make sure the Cypriot identity is not replaced by identities of imperials beyond our precious land. May Aphrodite be with you all, with much needed love

Cylingo is one of a kind project. Its a movment to create, preserve and teach the cypriot identity based on culture and language. I am proud to be a part of this project.
Its The ONLY Cypriot dictionary that has interactive elements aiming to teach Greek and Turkish Cypriot languages to people. I really like the wordle style quizzes you can do on the website.

Cylingo is a very important and enlightening dictionary for Cypriot accent. Besides, it has some encouraging parts that you can find more and develop your acknowledgement about Cypriot culture.
Cylingo appeared in a very sensitive time in cyprus politics. Where the cypriot identity is challenged daily. And where peace and unity seems impossible. It is a reminder that cyprus has been brewing its own culture for a long time with a mix of cultures. And biggest communities on the island share that together. Cylingo being a student project is also quite refreshing and hopeful. Culture needs to be protected. Thank you Cylingo

Fantastic site promoting Cypriot culture! A great tool to learn more about traditional words that are used in Cyprus, and also functions brilliantly as an online archive. I found an easter egg in the website as well, made the entire experience even better!!
