I placed a $500 vehicle hold deposit while considering a new GMC Sierra 2500 HD. At the time the deposit was taken, it was verbally represented as refundable or transferable if we chose not to proceed.

We ultimately did not purchase due to the dealership’s refusal to work with our bank and pressure to use their preferred lender. When I requested the refund, it was not processed, no timeline was provided, and communication stopped despite multiple follow-ups.

At no point was I provided written disclosure that the deposit was non-refundable. Because the funds were not returned, I had to initiate a credit card chargeback to resolve the matter.

This experience reflected a lack of transparency and professionalism that I would not expect from a dealership of this size or reputation.

I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe from Dave Smith. It had a cracked windshield and the salesman Nick Klinkefus
said that with the purchase the windshield would be replaced. Now NO ONE will return my calls. Even the sales manager!

But wait! It gets better. The finance guy Ridge (real name Douglas) Yearout showed me a placemat sized, glossy photo of a "New" Hyundai extended warranty that covers all computer/high tech gadgets such as the display, cameras, etc. Price was $1300.00.
When I looked at the contract, he said "See what I did here?" He pointed to how it was broken up between the warranty and "road service". Huh? I didn't need road service as I has AAA. But I signed thinking he knew much more than me.

In looking at the paperwork when I got home, I focused on that, called Hyundai who states they DO NOT have an extended warranty for electrical components. So I was LIED to! I do believe that's called a "bait and switch" and am in the process of composing a letter to the Idaho attorney general about Dave Smith Motors.

I highly recommend you do not count on customer service or even a hint of honesty from the new owners of Dave Smith Motors. The complaints I'm seeing for Dave Smith are piling up. I'm a repeat buyer and before they changed hands, they were wonderful to me!

hard-top..I had only seen it on line which had posted detailed information and many pictures...Just from this I knew this was the One..I was looking for...I love my new to me Jeep..It has everything I would want to have already on it... and JR is your man..if you want someone who pays attention to detail and truly wishes to make your car buying experience..one that brings excitement and Joy to your heart...you know that feeling...when you have just found the Jeep that just fits with you...I Think Everyone ott to have that kind of buying experience...Thankyou to all involved in my buy...Look for JR he is the man who makes the difference in the BUY...I Love my 2 door Wrangler..Thankyou again JR...Kathy A. These people are horrible. They act like they are your best friends when you're going to be buying a new rig from them and they promise the world and once you drive off the lot they don't even attempt to help when your hundred thousand dollar vehicle goes kaput. They don't even remember who you are then. Abhorrent dealership.

Terrible and unprofessional service from the sales staff. STRONGLY recommend not buying from this dealership. Buy locally and get the same if not better deal on a vehicle purchase.

Excellent MOT station. Not like some other places in the area, David Smith motors do the test and don't try to find extra business. To be honest they don't need it as they are usually very busy. Honest, professional business.

The Dave Smith Motors I am talking about is in Telford Road on the Ferndown Industrial Estate in East Dorset, United Kingdom.
I am both a car driver and a motorcyclist and Dave Smith motors have been looking after both my car and my motorcycle for the MoT tests and maintenance for quite a few years now.
I have nothing but praise for the way they treat me, they even make me feel that I am a valued customer which is a feeling that I cannot say many companies give me these days.
So dear reader, I will recommend Dave Smith Motors as the very best garage anywhere that I have ever dealt with in over 60 years as a motorcyclist and over 50 years as a car driver.
