Dearest Care is a patient advocacy service that helps individuals and families navigate the healthcare system with confidence, so no one has to face their health challenges alone. We match each patient with a dedicated, experienced advocate who becomes their personal guide: scheduling appointments, handling paperwork, communicating with doctors, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Our service is covered by Medicare and many Medicare Advantage plans, so most patients pay little to nothing out of pocket. Our advocates are experienced healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and care coordinators, with an average of 29 years of experience, working for you and your goals alone. We support patients across a wide range of conditions including cancer, COPD, diabetes, chronic pain, Alzheimer's, dementia, and stroke. With over 27,000 patients and families guided nationwide and more than 103 dedicated advocates ready to help, Dearest Care is the trusted partner people turn to when they need someone genuinely in their corner.

Undisclosed Billings and Recordings

I recently discovered that Dearest had recorded numerous calls containing my private medical information. I do not recall receiving notice that these calls were being recorded or being asked for consent.

I also discovered that many hours of alleged services were billed to Medicare under the name of a physician associated with a Las Vegas, NV address. The problem is that this physician NEVER provided me any care, treatment, medical guidance, or assistance navigating my healthcare. I spoke once with someone Dearest presented to me as a doctor. He asked why I needed an advocate, I explained my situation, and I NEVER heard from him again. My recordings, texts and emails document who I actually interacted with afterward.

On 8/20/26, Dearest's Clinical Operations leader told me on a recorded call that he was aware of the earlier recordings and was reviewing them to determine if and when recording notice had been provided and consent obtained. He told me he would follow up after reviewing the calls. He never provided me the promised results. I subsequently sent him and Dearest's CEO several written notices concerning the recordings and received no substantive resolution.

I then independently contacted Medicare because I wanted to understand how Dearest's services were being paid. That is when I discovered multiple claims associated with a physician in Las Vegas, NV, including hours of Principal Illness Navigation services. Medicare asked me whether I had received care from this provider. I explained that I had not.

What makes this particularly upsetting is that I came to Dearest seeking advocacy because I had already been victimized by healthcare fraud. I was completely transparent about that when I sought their help.

Dearest collected my identity, Medicare information, Medicare number and extensive private medical information. Yet I was never given a clear explanation of how its alleged “advocacy” service worked, what role a physician would have, or that a physician's name would later appear on Medicare claims associated with my alleged navigation services.

The alleged “advocacy” I actually experienced consisted primarily of a Patient Advocate taking an extensive medical history and handing my requests to a Research Advocate. The two substantive tasks I requested were assistance finding healthcare providers and obtaining forms and submission instructions. Both resulted in inaccurate or problematic information.

I only began looking closely at everything after problems with the research caused me to question what I had been told. That is when I discovered how much had never been explained to me.

I am shocked by this experience. I came to Dearest for help after healthcare fraud—not to find myself months later discovering recordings I did not know existed and Medicare claims involving a physician who never provided me care, treatment, guidance, or assistance with the advocacy tasks I requested.

Mom had cancer and advocate helped

Mom had cancer, and we were lost, didn't know what to do, and what Dearest did for us was more than support; they transformed my mom's life.

They told us this would be a covered benefit under Medicare and explained that we needed to speak to their MD to ensure we qualified. Once this happened, they matched us with an amazing patient advocate and navigator who explained how to speak to our oncologist, the specialists, and even to the nutritionist that we didn't even know we needed to speak to.

This was far better than anything else we've used. I saw the reviews about this being a scam and it's not. It's a legit service that my Leann our advocated helped us through.

I had a really positive experience…

I had a really positive experience working with Pairtu. They are kind, patient, and truly took the time to listen to my concerns. They made the process much easier for me and always made me feel like someone was actually there to help. I really appreciate their professionalism, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile.

Dearest Care is a scam

Dearest Care is a scam. They claim that all services are covered under Medicare/medicaid. They are NOT. You will get a bill in the mail after the first month for hundreds of dollars. It is a scam.

Thank you for your outreach. An unexpected bill is a genuinely bad experience and something that we work hard to prevent.

While we are not able to discuss any individual's account publicly, we can confirm that we are a Medicare service provider. In regard to our cost structure: Our services are billed to Medicare Part B, and like most Part B services they carry a 20% coinsurance. Any patient responsibility may be covered by a patient’s secondary insurance coverage or a Medicare supplement plan. Patients with dual coverage by Medicaid, or Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries (QMB) are exempted from Medicare Part B’s patient cost-sharing. Patients without secondary coverage, or who haven’t yet met their annual deductible, may receive a bill once Medicare indicates any balance that remains the patient’s responsibility.

Medicare is required to send a patient an explanation of benefits (EOB), which is an itemized list of the Medicare allowed payments and acknowledgement of submission of any unpaid balances to a secondary payer. Patients who are not exempt from Medicare Part B coinsurance, or who haven’t yet met their annual deductible, would only receive a bill for any remaining balance from Dearest Care after we’ve verified any remaining balance.

Please contact our customer service team at 213-267-7359 or email us at billing@dearestcare.com, and a representative will be in touch with you within 24 hours.
