An honest Review from a now debt free client!
I had debts with outgoings of almost a third of my salary which I could no longer manage. So an IVA was suggested. No issues really. My initial IVA was with someone else before being taken over by Debt Movement after approx 2 years. Annual reviews are easy as long as you keep it up to date. My outgoings reduced dramatically, easing the pressure incredibly! My only gripe was trying to speak to someone in person in relation to a discrepancy on my contributions after a change on the term a few years ago. They use a third prty messaging service which isn’t ideal, but once I managed to speak with someone and supplied my agreed paperwork it was sorted.
To close, if you have unmanageable debts… Enquire about an IVA. Its not only cleared my debts but retrained me how to manage my money better!

Sudden changes in my circumstances meant I had no choice but to enter into an IVA . Debt Movement were brilliant , they took on everything for me from start to finish .Laura Rose was my case handler , what an absolute pleasure she was to deal with. Laura Rose was superb
Laura Rose was superb.
Initially when setting up my IVA I was Mentally unwell so my family actually did it for me. The company over 5 years changed name twice and the paperwork and emails got confusing and would unsettle me at times. But drop a message to Laura and she would explain things clearly for me.
Even helped tidy up when completed due to admin errors done at the initial set up.
It can be a stressful process setting an IVA up and the anxiety is daunting. But would recommend it to anyone that’s gotten to that point. Best decision I’ve made with my finances and given me a fresh start.

All the creditors where dealt with
All the creditors where dealt with. one of my creditors tried to use a debt recovery company to recover there money on two occasions. I sent the demands to debt movement they dealt with them. I have always had first class service from Debt movement.

You cant speak to them directly you have to go through a messaging service first, They do not respond to emails. i will be putting in a severe complaint not helpful at all

Richard Lewis handled my case
Richard Lewis handled my case. A true professional at his job. Answered my emails, calls and questions promptly. I always reassured me that he would deal with any worries I had. A Great guy. Even when my IVA ended he said that if any problems come after to get in touch straight away…… which brought a tear to my eye. Class 👍

My experience
My experience was very good but at 69 years of age iam not very good with computers or tablets and it would have been faster to do if I could only have spoken to someone onthe phone person to person kind regards to all of you who guided me through.
