They are not based in Ireland. Shipping is very slow. When the package arrived (Martial arts sandals). they were in a large paper envelope, which was open. The sandals were hanging half out of the package. I was lucky to get them. I could have received a paper bag. I have to thank the postal service for their safe arrival not decathlon.

Waited 2 weeks for my sons bike to arrive, when it did arrive, then sent the wrong bike.
We now have to send the bike back and only then will they refund.
They will not replace the bike with the correct one.

Terrible company to deal with, best not use them.

I bought a bicycle for my daughter for Christmas. On Christmas Eve. I went to put the bicycle together to find there was a manufactured fault in the bicycle which made it unusable. It really upset us as parents as this was her Christmas present. I contacted the shop twice before I got a reply and when I returned the bicycle I got flung a new bike and barely paid lip service by the “manager” who was very unhelpful. They didn’t make me feel valued as a customer or apologise in anyway. Just barley complied with their statutory commitments and that was all. I’m sorry I didn’t go to a local shop instead. I have photos etc to verify this review

I ordered two 6 men tents and two inflatable mattresses. I received a box with the two inflatable mattresses but only one tent and it was a 4 person tent. There was no way to contact them by Phone and the Decabot chatbot can only say 'please rephrase this' or post links to unhelpful items about the company. I kicked myself after reading the reviews here for not having checked Trustpilot first. In fairness once I used their online system I received responses and apologies straightaway and they have now delivered the correct tents within a couple of days and an Post has taken back the wrong one. Looking at the reviews here though their organisation needs to get a grip on their packaging and posting. The products are good value but I would never have ordered from them if I had checked here first.

I thought I was beyond being shocked by poor service but decathlon have proved me wrong. We ordered a bike for our daughter's birthday two weeks ago with a confirmed delivery date (not an estimate) five days ago. As of now DHL tracking has deleted all tracking and is just showing "unknown" our daughter's birthday has long been and gone and decathlon and DHL couldn't give one...insert your own...never again and I wish I had read the other reviews here first. Horrible, horrible experience and the worst is we have no idea when or how it ends.

Enquired about an electric bike here. Paid a couple of visits and we were looked after by Rob, Hugh, Ben and the wonderful Alison. We had the best customer service experience you could wish for. They were all happy to spend the time with us to explain everything we needed to know and answered all our questions. We took up a lot of their time but they never made us feel like we needed to hurry up.
We ended up buying 2 e-bikes and left extremely happy. A great team. We will definitely shop here again

I went to Decathlon in Balluymun. When I arrived I picked up the things that I need. I also wanted to buy bicycle lights and i couldn’t find them. The friendly staff helped me. They also helped me with the price of the Tarmak BT500 FIBA approved basketball, as it was not displayed. All products are high quality.

Should have read the reviews before ordering, 4 days later no tracking updates so contacted them to be told there was a problem with my order at the warehouse so my order has been cancelled and that I should get a refund within 3 to 4 days , stay away

Went hiking with Decathlon team today in “HOWTH “and it was amazing . Meeting new people and walking in the rain 🌧 was a great experience.Graham and team were amazing . Love to do more of hiking with Decathlon team in the future 😊. Thanks

Terrible website. Can’t go back a page and no way to checkpoint. In 2023 it’s ridiculous

Missing Item in the order. Replaced the missing something I didn’t order. Horrible experience, would not order again.

Keep well away from ordering anything like a bike.
I ordered a month ago and they can't find it between decathlon and the courier company.

Their stuff is absolutely rubbish. Bought a simple exercise band. Is made of some hard cheap rubber. Useless.

Was only making a return but the Assistant (Helen) helping me could not have been more helpful - smiling and really pleasant.

I ordered 3 items online, unfortunately decathlon cancelled one of the items, refund was back in my account next day, the other 2 items were at my door in less than a week, I also contacted customer support and they replied within a couple of hours.
Good quality items at a very decent price.
My only criticism is I think the postage charges are a little on the high side but apart from that im very pleased with the service and products and will definitely be ordering online from them again.

Brought a bike for Xmas for my daughter, it arrived with a large hole in the box and bolts to connect front wheel missing.

I emailed and rang numerous times but got no response. Messaged on FB messenger got a brief response saying I need to bring bike to the store. I already paid an additional 20 euro for home delivery, and am only asking for the missing part of my delivery to be delivered.
I do not drive and have no way to get an incomplete bike to their store. It would be so easy to put bolts in an envelope and post them, but they do not care. I am now being ignored on messenger also. I have politely asked and explained the circumstances.

I now need to find bolts elsewhere,will never order from them again. If they could even respond and tell me the bolt size that would help, but the customer service is really terrible.

Mistakes happen but they have no interest in helping or fixing them.

I do not recommend to anyone.

TERRIBLE - do not use

Paid €6 delivery, it was delayed, wrong product sent - Christmas delivery cut off now past. Was told only way to get product pre Christmas was to collect last bike myself in store. Went today and told no bike there for collection it’s out for delivery. It is not.

Horrific customer experience - didn’t even refund delivery until I asked. Would not recommend to any one.
