We are Darnall Education & Sports Academy (DESA). Our aim is to improve the life chances of the young people in Darnall and across Sheffield. We do this by offering high quality sport sessions, to improve the confidence, physical and mental health of children. Tutoring sessions to empower young people with the knowledge they need to succeed and offering a multitude of cultural capitol experiences to raise the aspirations of the children from our communities.

Amazing organisation making a real difference in the community.
Everything this group organises is always well thought out and planned, age appropriate and the kids always come away having enjoyed themselves and often having learnt new skills. Extremely professional, friendly and approachable staff who accomodate wherever they can. Thoroughly recommend any initiatives organised by them.

Darnall Education and Sports Academy (DESA) is an incredible organization making a real difference in Sheffield. With a dedicated focus on providing sports and educational opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds, DESA has created a welcoming environment for boys and girls, especially those from deprived areas, to come together, learn, and thrive.
The sports activities they offer have not only helped children discover new talents and develop teamwork skills, but they have also given them a safe and constructive alternative to being on the streets. Through sports, DESA fosters discipline, resilience, and confidence in young people, qualities that can shape their futures.
In addition to sports, DESA goes above and beyond by organizing homework groups and family outings to sports events, promoting both educational growth and family bonding.
