Very less time given at brighton and the tour manager wasnt upto the mark not communicated well

I recently joined the Seven Sisters and Brighton day trip with Desi Bagpackers, and unfortunately, the experience was quite poorly organised.

When we arrived at Seven Sisters, we were asked whether we wanted to explore independently or go with the host. My friends and I stopped briefly to use the restroom and freshen up. The host was there with us, but by the time we returned to the bus parking area, which was also the starting point of the trek, the host had already left without informing us or waiting for the people who had chosen to go with him.

There should have been a proper system in place. If participants choose to follow the host, there should either be a designated meeting point or clear communication about where and when to regroup. The route to the cliffs was also not clearly explained. Since there are multiple paths leading to the viewpoint, it can be quite confusing for first time visitors. Given the strict departure times from Seven Sisters to Brighton, the lack of clear directions could easily have caused people to get lost or arrive back late.

Another issue was the lack of meal planning throughout the day. While refreshments were provided in the form of two packets of crisps and a can of Coke, there were no scheduled breakfast or lunch breaks. Although we were told we could bring our own food, many people travel to experience local food and culture. We ended up not eating a proper meal until we reached Brighton.

The time allocation for Brighton was particularly disappointing. The bus was parked around a 30 minute walk from the city centre, and we were only given about 1.5 hours there. This meant nearly an hour was spent simply walking to and from the centre, leaving very little time to actually explore. We did not even have enough time to visit Brighton Pier properly. It felt more like a quick stop to grab food rather than a visit to one of the UK’s most popular seaside destinations.

Most disappointing was the lack of a detailed itinerary before the trip. Had we known how much time would be spent at Seven Sisters compared to Brighton, many of us would have preferred a different balance. While Seven Sisters is beautiful, once you have seen the cliffs there is not a great deal else to do. More time in Brighton would have allowed participants to enjoy the city, explore the pier, and experience the local atmosphere.

Overall, the destinations themselves were lovely, but the organisation, communication, time management, and itinerary planning left a lot to be desired.

The trip was poorly organised and fell far short of expectations. Apart from providing transportation, there was little to no effort from the organisers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

At the first destination, Seven Sisters, there was a complete lack of guidance for the trek. Participants were left to figure things out on their own, with no clear instructions, coordination, or support from the organisers. Furthermore, a proper itinerary was never shared, leaving travellers uncertain about the schedule and plan for the day.

The second stop, Brighton, was particularly disappointing as we were given only around 1.5 hours to explore, which was far too short considering the travel time involved and the significance of the destination.

In addition to the poor planning, the atmosphere on the bus was far from comfortable. Extremely loud music was played for extended periods, and dancing in the moving vehicle created both disturbance and safety concerns. Many passengers were unable to relax during the journey, and the organisers made no effort to maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone on board.

Overall, the trip demonstrated a serious lack of planning, communication, and consideration for participants' comfort and safety. I would not recommend this trip unless significant improvements are made to its organisation and management.

Very disappointing experience with this Desi Bagpackers company. We paid for food during the trip, but because of the poor management of breaks, we were not even able to collect or eat the food we paid for, which was a complete waste of money. As a result, we stayed hungry until we finally reached London.

What made it worse was the attitude of the staff. Instead of understanding the situation and helping passengers, they kept talking nonsense about “common sense” rather than taking responsibility. We were told that the host would come and speak to everyone properly, but in the end, the host only spoke to the people they were friendly with and ignored the rest of us completely.

The whole experience felt unfair, unprofessional, and badly managed. A travel company should know how to treat all customers equally and respectfully. Very disappointed and definitely not recommended.

“Honestly, travelling with Desi Backpackers was one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organised — no stress, no confusion, just pure enjoyment.

The itinerary was well planned, covering some of the most beautiful spots while still giving us time to relax and enjoy the moment. The stays were comfortable, transport was smooth, and every little detail was handled so well.

But what really made this trip special was the people. We all started as strangers, but within a short time, it felt like a family. The vibe, the laughs, the late-night talks, the random moments — everything just clicked. It didn’t feel like a normal trip, it felt like a whole experience.
If you’re someone who loves travelling, meeting new people, and creating unforgettable memories, I would 100% recommend Desi Backpackers. It’s not just about visiting places, it’s about living the journey.

I went alone on this trip but they’ve made sure I’ve reached and am part of the trip… @desi bag packers attention to details made me more comfortable and secure

I went to Cornwall with Desi bagpackers. Had an amazing time, made some great friends. Looking forward to many more such experiences.

Great Experience .. Great Location .. Well executed trip

I would give zero stars if I had that option. I booked Scotland trip for Easter and paid the full amount. The trip was supposed to start at 7 AM from London. However , due to tube delays and considering the frequency during early hours in the morning , I was late by 10 minutes. I was communicating with the host , Neha throughout that I would reach shortly. I felt threatened throughout saying we will leave at sharp 7 AM. They waited for 5 minutes and left at 7:05 AM. I was in the station , just reached by then but they already left. I was asked to join at the next station and come there by a cab. The cab would have costed me more than the trip cost. Then I was asked to come to Glasgow directly figuring out the transport myself. At every point , they were threatening that they would leave us and go if we are late or stuck at any location. I wanted to go for this trip to relax after having a tough time for the last few months personally and professionally. This whole experience added a lot of mental stress and I was left in a helpless state at the station. On top of all this , they are now refusing to issue refund. So, they have taken money a service I haven’t used at all and refusing to issue refund. I would definitely not use their service anytime again and not recommend to anyone considering to travel. Such a shitty experience. I hope nobody ever goes through this.

I had a wonderful trip to North wales. The itinerary was well planned and they were very punctual with the timings.The group atmosphere was friendly and whole experience was enjoyable. It was a fantastic trip overall and would love to join them again for another trip.

The most unorganised group trip that I have been on. Most chaotic experience! The organisers were not proactive and did not lead the group and encouraged hooligan behaviour of the group which was very embarrassing in the bus. We were literally taken as a flock of sheep and left to graze. Additionally, it was supposed to be a dinner buffet at 8pm but we were given taken away box of dal chawal for dinner at 10 30pm. Overall horrible experience, would never recommend.
