The magnetic case doesn't work, and there is no way to return it

The Desklab monitor is good, so far - we've only had it a couple of weeks, but it seems to be working fine.
We also bought the "Protection Bundle". The carrier is decent, but the magnetic cover has such a weak magnet that it may as well not have one.
The return policy is 7 days and you have to contact the company through email. I contacted them within a day of receipt. That has been over a week ago. I have not heard anything back.
I would not buy from them again, given the lack of response.

Good screen. Not resilient and poor support.

The good
- Gives laptop a touchscreen via USB-C (make Desklab the main Windows screen)
- 4K on USB-C great for screenshots though actually 1080p is OK in a 17in screen for office spreadsheets.
- USB-C is 4K but HDMI only 1080p
- Very light and thin.
The bad
- Not very resilient. 1st lasted 2months, replacement 2yrs 9months. I suspect this is weakness if there are any power interruptions the monitor can’t handle it so if the cable supplying power (USB-C or Micro USB) has any fault the screen fails.

Fraudulent

I received a monitor from desklab which looked as though it had been used (it had slight damages to the left of the screen) and after 1 month of light use, the monitor display had vertical white streaks rendering it unusable. After digging a little bit more into this. I realise that there is actually an alarmingly high number of users ~70% who have similar issues and have sent back the monitor to desklab. I actually suspect that this company is fraudulent and they resell faulty devices to unsuspecting customers. The company has been reported to the federal trade commission.

Ordered a monitor & video cast…

Ordered a monitor & their video cast device. Yep, took a long time and I never rec'd the videocast device. I reordered it on 5/31/23 despite every fiber of my mind telling me not to due to the previous experience. Haven't heard a word or seen an e-mail update since then.

These folks need to take a damn good look in the mirror and decide if they actually deserve, not "want" but truly deserve to be in business.

AMAZING

Desklabmonitor provides diffrent types of unique accessories. I recenty ordered a speaker and a 4k monitor from this store. Both are amazing. The speaker sound quality was awesome along with the display of monitor. Happy customer.

I Purchased the monitor a little over a…

I Purchased the monitor a little over a year ago. For the first few months it worked fine with a few quirks. But the quirks grew. The screen, without any notice goes black. Or, images flash on and off. I have replaced cables thinking that might be a problem. But them the ultimate happened, its stop working completely. When I wort the company, they replied that the unit is no longer in warranty, so good luck. This is a good idea gone bad. Would I buy another unit, absolutely not. Would I recommend it to my colleagues, absolutely not.

For the past month, I've been using Desklabmonitor. It is a high quality product, and I haven't yet come across a single complaint. Impeccable product.

They break, they don't help you, lost over $1000

I got the 4K variant it stopped working one month after warranty (one year). Stupid me, having bad experiences with the customer service, still bought another one because they offered me a discount. It lasted FIVE TIMES OF WORKING before rending inusable. We are now 8 months further. The monitor has been to Hong Kong, they didn't pick it up, it got sent back, now they are not responding to my mails. I spent over $1000 on monitors that break down FAST with a customer service that is honestly the worst I have ever met in my life. They are there to irritate the hell out of you. Months of mailing "did you try that": - Yes, I did, as I told you ten times, I am an IT professional, I did test everything, the thing has just broken down. And not picking up a parcel at the post office? So it gets sent back to Europe? Not responding to emails at all? Can't get my money back, can't get it repaired... NOTHING

RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF.

Desklab will rip you off

After a short time of use, the monitor developed vertical lines and blotches. The company replied to emails I sent and got me to send them a video of what was occurring. Many emails to and fro. They still refused to send me a new monitor and made me send the one I purchased back to them at my cost. Further emails were received with no confirmation of when I would receive a new one. Then they claimed they can't ring the repair section and only communicate with them via email. I eventually accused them of lying and they blocked me. Desklab have therefore stolen my money, lied and committed fraud with a faulty product. Totally insincere. But they are in Hong Kong so I've lost my money.

My unit took months to arrive

My unit took months to arrive, and now after 9 months from the order date, not even from the date I received it, it is no longer working. I have reached out many times to them to see what can be done, and they made recommendations and blamed my computer. I then sent a video showing what it is doing, not even hooked up to my computer. I have not had any response since. This was weeks ago. Even though I have reached out again and again through the site and the email they sent, nothing.
This is a terrible company to deal with, and the product is junk. Stay away... A very expensive boat anchor!!!
I am normally very patient and understanding that things can go wrong but the service is absolutely terrible!!!

Company does not provide a customer…

Company does not provide a customer service number on website. Says not to return to manufacturer but does not provide and address to return to. There is no return after 7 days of purchase but took several weeks to receive. Won’t return emails. The stand falls constantly and monitor does not work on Apple without buying additional adapters. No service whatsoever. Very disappointing.

desklab monitor service not good at all...

I purchased a desklab monitor in February/March 2021 and within a week of receiving the monitor it failed (red and blue streaks all over the screen). The device was sent back to Hong Kong on April 12, 2021 (luckily I still had the original packaging) and received on their end on April 21, 2021. I was asked to ship it after numerous questions, pictures and videos being sent upon their request, even though I only had the monitor in my possession for less than 7 days). It has been a year and 5 month and i had to inquire on status only to be told they have one or two more weeks before that can start clearing returned items... how many returned items are they receiving!!! The person(s) I was speaking online with was were not at all customer friendly. I was even told that refunds are not provided after all the diagnostics pictures and videos were submitted to them, but this and many other areas contradict what their website states including "once a return is sent that you would send an email confirming that item was received" and "Our passion is in making sure that you are 100% satisfied"

poorly executed piece of hardware

I used this thing for more than 1 year, it's an overpriced scam. Competitors products are much better for cheaper. usb slots are loose causing screen and other usb devices plugged into the screen to disconnect all along the day. The stand system is very bad, it's falling frequently. The quality of the sound is terrible, better not have sound and be more lightweight.

2 of the the 3 buttons on the screen to control light/sounds and various display settings are almost not working (from day 1).

I'm looking forward for the day this screen will go through the window so that I can buy a new one

Abysmal customer service

Bought the Protection Bundle (the magnetic cover and the sleeve). The cover was delivered but it was not magnetic but the sleeve never came. Wrote to customer service who provided me with an address to send the item back for a refund but the address is bogus and the item could not be delivered. Wrote to customer service again multiple times to explain the situation and they just kept asking me to send it to the same address. In the end I just gave up.

The desklab monitor did not work

The desklab monitor did not work, and now they are refusing to send me a return label.

They said it needs to be in the original packaging, and it must be unused. I seriously feel like this company is stealing from me. How can you find out if a product doesn’t work unless you try it? Also, I often expect that things will work and promptly recycle, which I think is normal. I have NEVER encountered a company that refused to return something unless it was in the original packaging.

Abysmal Customer Service

A most terrible experience dealing with them. FOR IPHONES, IT JUST DOES NOT WORK!! CONTRARY TO WHAT THEY SAY. They cannot accept the fact that an item is defective and honor their one-year warranty, or the fact that an extended warranty has also been purchased. Instead, they will constantly tell you to do this and do that and continue to waste your time; all of which you have done prior to contacting them. Then to make sure they can increase their sales, you have to buy their Chromecast package, and their iPhone adapters, all of which seem like "knock-offs", which don't work either. I even bought genuine products from Amazon and the Apple store, which did not work. Yet they insist on it being an operator error! Stay away from these scam artists and save yourself a lot of frustration. Amazon also has identical monitors available at a fraction of the cost and Amazon has A+++++ customer service.
