It is with much regret that we are announcing the closure of Devon Valley Holiday Park on December 1, 2022. Following our eight months of ownership, we have concluded that the park, after 20 years of a visible lack of investment, is neither profitable nor reflective of the standards we want to offer guests. The park will not open for the 2023 season, and all bookings will be refunded. In these uncertain and difficult times, with a looming recession and the business facing a 300% increase in electricity costs, along with increasing staff costs, it has been regrettably concluded that to continue running this park in its current format is no longer viable. Devon Valley occupies a unique waterfront location in prime South Devon. It therefore has much potential moving forward. However, its current condition has resulted in high levels of customer complaints, and it fails to provide a holiday experience befitting of its beautiful location. We know that for many of you, this will be a shock, and we appreciate the importance Devon Valley has played in your family holidays over the years. We sincerely thank you for your business and support. If you have a booking for 2023, please get in touch with us at 0344 557 5100. Have been to Devon Valley several times each time it's as if it's our first visit. It's a small site with a big heart . All staff are great a few of my favourites are Helen reception and Adam compere a winning team

I was surprised to see there were still…
I was surprised to see there were still vacancies at any holiday park in the South West when I searched online so was quick to book something. There were only a few caravans available but was unsure of booking so called reception and they were very helpful in finding something suitable for my needs. Have not been in this area before but I am hearing very good reviews from friends and family connections. Looking forward to a lovely break.

Reception was very helpful. Answered all my queries regarding dog friendly alternatives, quiet areas, activities available etc. Very good value. Confirmation email very useful with hints as to what is needed for you to bring. The online brochure has lots of info.
Pooch and I looking forward to our short break!

Devon valley first week of opening since lockdown.
Just returned from a 5 night stay on the first week that we were allowed to holiday this year. We have stayed at Devon Valley before but a very long time ago.
We had a lovely week. The weather definitely helped. Just a few things to share :
* The caravan ( Cranmere Gold dog friendly ) was clean and well laid out however, due to the restriction on the boiler allowing you only to put the heating on for 2 hours at a time it was freezing on a night.
* The duvets and pillows are very uncomfortable. My husband said like sleeping in a crisp packet but this is due to COVID 19 and hygiene so we could live with this.
*The info said that as part of the opening you could wine and dine. We assumed that that this meant the pub would serve food on the decking area but it was just drinks and the burger van
* Having said that the burger van was fab - lovely halloumi wrap and doughnuts.
* The location is amazing. We walked along the beach as far as we could when the sea was out and then the rest of the road way into Shaldon and then back the road way. Not too far and worth it for lovely pubs. We love Shaldon and definitely will retire here if we can afford it!
All in all we had a lovely time and will stay here again.

Devon Valley Holidays…
Unfortunately I didn’t fit the criteria, for the dates I chose due to the Government guidelines. I rang Devon Valley to explain, they were really helpful and understanding. True to their promise I was given a full refund. Hopefully I will be able to book again with them soon.

Booked today for the 4th time over the telephone. Really helpful and friendly receptionist who gave full details of the accommodation and location on the park. Deposit paid and confirmation email received straight away
