UK buyers should do the maths first

Ordered around €300 of gear to London. Products themselves are legitimate and arrived without issue — no complaints there.

The problem is the pricing model. DEVTSIX runs "all in" prices, meaning the number you see never changes regardless of destination. Sounds fair. In practice it means that when you order to the UK the checkout correctly zero-rates the sale for EU VAT, but the price stays exactly the same. I checked this myself: the same item is €94.80 shipped to Spain and €94.80 shipped to London. On the Spanish order roughly €16 of that is tax the seller remits. On mine, none of it is. The seller simply keeps it.

You then pay UK import VAT and duty on top. My FedEx bill was £99.63 — £58.57 VAT, £28.16 duty, £12.90 fee — arriving days AFTER delivery, with no warning at checkout that import charges would apply. Total cost roughly 40% above the advertised price, and I was effectively charged a VAT-inclusive price on a sale that carried no VAT.

I raised it and was told import duties are set by each country and not something they can influence. Technically true, and it sidesteps the actual point, which is that their UK prices are identical to their EU prices despite carrying no VAT liability.

Nothing here is illegal. It is, however, a materially worse deal for UK and other non-EU customers than for buyers inside the EU, and nothing on the site tells you that. Add €24.90 shipping and the maths gets bleak fast.

If you're in the EU, fine. If you're in the UK, price it up properly first, or buy from a UK stockist.
