I was looking for help, getting my website to show up. they reviewed it, agreed to work with what I had and the provider I was working with, and then improved its background, and any kinks in its programming. now we are ranking better than before. Sales person, Abby Nolan, totally uninvolved after the sale. Project manager, Manager Mitchell Green, would not provide easily obtainable audits of baseline vs current position after two months despite me sourcing several and sharing with him. Lots of smoke and mirrors and redirection.
Although I would submit redline docs for correction AND acceptance to then publish, they would accept all changes and then resubmit again back to me for my second review, intentionally slowing down the process and milking the clock. On our last call, Mitchell clarified that he was just presenting these to me to let me know they were published. Unfortunately that was not made clear on his email.
They do not understand basic channel management when it comes to AirBnB, VRBO, etc. In two months I spent $1000 to educate myself. Essentially began to understand some of the language. Really, all one needs to do is scrub the net for highly searched keywords in your field, create a blog page on your website, write the blogs with priority keywords (AI can do this easily) and post those links to your blogs on the blog page. AI is already a significant threat to these sorts of SEO/SMO providers. Better to find yourself an SEO SMO coach and know you will be paying for an education rather than repeatedly asking questions and receiving ambiguous unverifiable answers using internal word speak resulting in unnecessary frustration.

As an addition to this after a subsequent call prompted by the above review, Digital Guider repeatedly asked me to take it down. They did acknowledge a significant lack of communication as well as their inability to maintain the pace of tasks being performed on the four month time frame as originally promised. Finally shared with me some measurable results from baseline to two months and it does appear I now have 12 keywords that are ranking in the top 100 on a Google search. That is the good news. The bad news is that the PMS (Property Management System) platform (Hostaway) doesn't function as well as the CMS (Content Managment System) which they seem to be more familiar with. It does not allow for drop down boxes under each tab/page. They were content to point at the Channel manager lacking capabilities. So although clunky, I proposed that we post the links to their blogs which they posted on back channels on our website. Same day I did this myself given the simplicity.

They also claimed there were no places to insert Meta Descriptions. I assured them there was. In fact they'd already shared they had done this in a prior report but then stated they couldn't aon the call. As I dug further into our PMS Channel Manager, I could see they had already input info in the Meta description. Unfortunately it was larger than the max 160 characters so we were receiving a negative Google rating. In a few minutes I personally corrected this. Unacceptable in a number of ways.

Lastly Mitchell our project manager stated when he called our Channel Manager (Hostaway) to learn more about the capabilities and intricacies, he commented he was placed on hold and listened to music so he hung up without speaking with anybody.

Now I'm told they are going to work hard at putting together a go forward three month plan and share it with me so they can be clear and help accountable for performance. Lets just chalk it up to a significant investment resulting in significant frustration while forcing myself to learn an entirely new field.

PS. To add insult to this, Isaac, Mitchell's manager on the 12/30 call promised to offer a free AI review which is part of their more expensive $1800 monthly package. Funny, just logged on to Meta and a free AI SEO review is being offered at no charge through Upfire. I already sent them a Screaming Frog audit showing multiple issues. Either I am totally ignorant or this is just more smoke and mirrors. Yikes!

I would never use this company. Very unethical. They have outsourced labor sending random emails to any people they can harvest asking if you're interested in an SEO audit, and when you reply negatively, they change your email to be positive and forward it to their supervisor who then calls you repeatedly. That should be against the law. I'm also pretty sure none of the people that work there are in the united states, so if you care about this sort of thing, do not use this company.
