Great sunglasses and amazing support team

My wife ordered her third pair of Dinelli's but they didn't really work out for her. The Dinellis support team was amazing. Responding to emails on the weekend and even on Sunday evening facilitating our exchange.

Leila loves her Dinelli's! They're chic and high fashion and not expensive at all.

It's crazy seeing negative reviews here.

Literally scamming customers.

Total scam. Purchased a pair of sunglasses in their sale, the glasses are poor quality and don't fit. I emailed to ask how to return them on the day I received the delivery, and they replied saying I can't return them because I bought them in the sale. I would never make any purchase online if I couldn't return the item and I'm fully aware that in most circumstances it is a customers legal right to return something purchased online.

We've sent a few emails back and forth - I explained that they can't set a returns policy like this on online sales because it's literally against the law but they refuse to accept this. They even included a spiteful dig in their most recent email about having the option to make goodwill exceptions but choosing not to in this case due to the nature of the correspondence. What, because I stated that I have rights as a consumer that their policy doesn't override? WOW.

I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering but I stupidly thought that a brand founded by someone I'm a fan of (Sam Thompson) would be legit and felt good about buying from them initially. Sadly that's clearly not the case and I'm now having to pursue this via my bank and Citizens Advice/Trading Standards. I would strongly encourage others to do the same. Don't assume you can trust this brand, there are also comments on their Instagram posts from customers who are being ignored or refused refunds.

We’d like to clarify that we are a legitimate UK brand, and we respectfully disagree with the suggestion that we are a scam. All of our products are authentic, quality-checked, and supplied as described.

In relation to returns, many retailers operate final-sale policies on discounted items, particularly during busy promotional periods such as Black Friday, winter sales, and clearance events. Your item was purchased at a 42% discount. Our position is a common, long-established retail practice, and our policy is clearly communicated on our website + at checkout so customers can make an informed decision before purchasing.

We did take the time to carefully review the correspondence. While we always aim to help where we can, the conversation focused on legal positioning rather than a request for assistance, and in those circumstances we proceeded in line with our published policy. Any goodwill gestures we may offer are entirely discretionary and considered on a case-by-case basis.

Returns process extremely frustrating

The returns process was needlessly drawn out and extremely frustrating. To even start a return, you have to email a general inbox to get it “approved”. I was initially told that because the item was in the sale, it couldn’t be returned. This wasn’t true — the item wasn’t actually in the sale, and in any case it’s not lawful for a retailer to refuse all returns on sale items, regardless of what their small print says.
I was then asked to confirm that all packaging was present and undamaged, including the cellophane around the glasses, which immediately raised alarm bells. Thankfully, I still had everything.

When I returned the item, I made sure to keep proof of postage. Despite the tracking clearly showing the parcel had been delivered, I was told the item hadn’t been received and was asked to provide proof of postage. After sending this, I heard nothing for a few days.

Having read multiple reviews describing similar issues with returns, I eventually warned that I would contact Trading Standards. Only then did I receive an automated email saying the refund had been processed — with no direct response to my email at all.

It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that this company makes the returns process deliberately difficult in order to delay or avoid refunds. Make sure you are absolutely certain before ordering. I’d strongly recommend reading other reviews, as many customers appear to have had the same experience.

As outlined in our returns policy, refunds can take up to 14 days to be processed. In this case, we issued your refund on 19 December, even though the item had not yet been recorded as received by our warehouse. Once we requested and received your proof of postage, the refund was completed within two days.

We’d also like to note that the refund was processed well within our stated timeframe, being completed within seven days rather than the full 14-day window.

I bought the Dark Wahlbergs as a gift…

I bought the Dark Wahlbergs as a gift for my brother, and he loves them. The packaging looked premium, and the sunglasses themselves are sturdy and beautifully made. The order came sooner than expected, and the communication from the team was great.

I purchased these sunglasses and…

I purchased these sunglasses and contacted the company the very same day they arrived to let them know they were too small. Despite this, they flatly refused to offer either an exchange or a refund. Very disappointed with both the product sizing and the lack of customer service. Would not recommend purchasing unless you are 100% certain they will fit, as they clearly do not stand behind their customers.

NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE/RETURNS

I ordered 2 pairs of sunglasses for my daughter’s birthday, unfortunately she’s 28 not 8 years old, they looked like children’s glasses!
I have emailed Dinelli 7 TIMES now for instruction for me to start the RETURN, every email has been ignored.
ive now had to get my credit card involved.

Worst customer service ever!

Unless you are 100% sure you want the sunglasses then avoid at all costs. Mine looked like the pink version of harry potters glasses so asked for a refund. Took many chasers to even get the return address and I still haven’t received confirmation of return despite sending the glasses back weeks ago. No-one is replying to my emails about my refund which is worrying.

Impossible to get hold of them. Avoid.

The sunglasses themselves were okay. Looked roughly the same as on the website. They were quite small, though, so I decided to return them as they were uncomfortable. Trying to get a message back from them is almost impossible. I've had to nag them for weeks on end for a refund. I suspect that had I not chased them, I'd have been ignored entirely. Unless you can try these on in person and you're sure you want to keep them, I wouldn't bother. If you're buying online, avoid at all costs. Bought on the 29th of May. Return requested on the first of June. Refund not received until the 30th of June!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company! I’ve sent them 7 emails and 3 messages on their website to return a pair of glasses. Still no reply surely this is against the law or some standards. Honestly never again. Avoid!
