This Insurance shows ugly expressions and emotional people working under this Company. I cannot perfectly recommend this Company because I encounter ugliest response because if you are executing better for the business and serve people and not only for profit you must also extend patience and better response for the people

Miss leading information

Miss leading information from Insurance agent. Assume clients knows the policy after signing with them the 2nd time. I couldn't claim my windscreen damage because i was not a premium customer. Told agent i wanted to claim and he said it's possible because my insurance plan is comprehensive, next moment the claims department say i cannot claim as i was not a premium holder. Was left with no solutions. Worse insurance agent ever for the miss leading information. Please do not sign with them. A friend of mine cant claim insurance after an accident just because in car dash cam does not have a footage of the accident recording.

Travel insurance claim

Please review the terms and conditions carefully before making a purchase, especially regarding coverage for illnesses contracted during your travel dates, as claims may not be valid once you return to your hometown

Avoid

Travel insurance, annual plan. Fell, injured foot, visited hospital overseas. Filed claim on 21/4/2025. 15/5/2025, no news, no sound, nothing. Not a single payout, simply put, collecting of premium, all is good. Making a claim, they disappear faster than Aladdin. Avoid at all cost. No point having an insurance when not a single coverage rendered when needed.

Picked the most affordable travel…

Picked the most affordable travel insurance, saving $30-$40 comparing to other agencies. Unfortunately, really gotten flight delay this time. Submitted all required forms & documents, after 3 weeks yet still waiting from them to confirm my claim but with no responses.

Other insurance companies I claimed before were immediately issue of claim funds on the very next day. Luckily it's just a small claim to understand how this company function on their claims.

Guess paying peanuts getting monkey is true.

Edit: I have finally received the payout after waiting for 4 weeks. Guess I'm a little too impatient, and Directasia deserve a better rating. They just need to increase their staff headcount.

Claim travel disruption since…

Claim travel disruption since September. Submitted all infos with emails but no update.Emailed and call them so many times but it will divert to other division for claim department to call back or reply my emails. Well, as expected no response at all. Voted worst insurance agent in Singapore. Horrible!

Scam, Nasty set up

What I don’t like about this situation is that I initially bought a one-year subscription just to try it out. However, after hearing so much negative feedback from my friends, I decided to explore other options. Without any signed agreement, they sent me a "notification" stating that my policy would be automatically renewed and that they would deduct the payment from my credit card. This feels like a scam, a complete scam. I’ve already called and emailed them to request the full removal of my information.

Just go to Google and you will see the horrible reviews. You guys thinking you got a good bargain? Please go check out other people reviews, I am one of them. I really liked them before but in recent times they are horrible. Replies on the Google review are auto generated. Don't even know why they bother.

Buy Direct Asia travel insurance if you…

Buy Direct Asia travel insurance if you like to chase people for updates after submitting claim. It is easy to buy but difficult to claim. Fell sick while overseas and seek medical attention when back from the trip. Submitted the claim via online portal and did not receive any reply from Direct asia except their auto-mail-acknowledgement bot. After numerous call to their hotline, the staff told me that they are processing my claim and I will receive the amount within 10 business day. However, after 10 business day no news from Direct asia. After numerous calls again, was told they will get someone to call me back as if playing delay tactic.

Near 2 months since Travel insurance…

Near 2 months since Travel insurance claim was submitted for damage to my newly purchased luggage, and only 1 email was sent, stating no claim was possible! They even got my name spelled wrong! Did contest it and provided all the pertinent information i.e pics, receipts etc, and even offered to have them look at the luggage, but no reply. Even provided them my mobile no for ease of communication! The worst customer service I have ever experienced thus far.
Had a car insurance previously with them, but thankfully have already switched to another company.
Last time using Direct Insurance.
I do believe sending the company the review will do nothing as I do believe other customers have been misled before. Blacklisted on my list for sure.

DirectAsia - Not for Me…

Direct Asia took 21 working days to reply my travel claim by attaching their T&C points that i have to note. I replied within that week with plenty of proof of incident. Thereafter for a month nothing was heard from them. I sent another email and state that they should at least acknowledge receipt or inform if my claim doesn't fall through. Its been another month, I was totally ignored. How terrible this insurance company can be!!!

Bad customer service and poor/no response

Submitted travel claim on 7/1/24 and called multiple times.. Hotline is usually very hot.. take more than 10mins to be attended and its not from Claims department. Recep say will relay msg to call back..but never. Claim status still pending til today.. Never gonna buy any insurance from there and will consider to file a complaint to CASE!

Case 129670

First time claim my travel luggage damage worth less than S$120 and getting no further responses from your officer Erin Goh ( was also mentioned by other claimers in the past). Came to realised how bad were the comments given when I started to Google to find any similar experiences.

Did not fulfill their promise. Don’t buy.

I bought a travel insurance, I missed my flight due to transport delay and traffic jam, totally not my fault. This company has no integrity.

Don’t get scammed by their empty promises. You will regret it.

The written email and the call with the claims executive didn’t help at all. They weren’t even sure of what they cover and what they don’t.

I had to call them after over 2 weeks of submitting all the documents and no reply till I actually had to call them and wait in line for so long.

Quick Claim

Bought a travel insurance with directasia for my trip to Japan. Unfortunately, my baby fall ill prio to the trip. Got a doctor letter that my baby not fit to fly. Manage to claim trip cancellation with directasia with doctor written proof. Claim process can be improve further but I believe consider rather fast than other insurance company.
